  • The subject of Titanic's colors has inspired a good deal of discussion among modelers. This video discusses choosing paint colors for a model of the RMS Titanic, and highlights the changes in color that I would make on this 1:400 Academy model.

I want to put together a Titanic model in a similar way you did. This video, along with your video on what rigging to use when building the model are very helpful. With that said, could you make another video in which you provide tips on creating a model like this? Such as tips when using the Flyhawk kit and putting the model together? That would be amazing and such a help. Thank you!

Wow thanks for this!!! I am building the Academy 1/350 Titanic, purchased in 1988 or so. I stopped when the kids arrived and now retired started up again. How did you do your decks? Was it the new version of this model ? Or did you use a technique ...? Thanks, Art

@@artm7171 Hello! This is actually the 1:400 Academy model but I used the stand from an old 1:350 kit that I had. The decks were from an enhancement kit for the 1:400 model by Flyhawk, but there are definitely wood decks that you can get for the 1:350 kit too. Below is a link to one of the options. You basically just cut out the deck and glue it over the plastic.
