Brett, please for the love of god, how to get them to sync volume at all devices in a group? Like its annoying as hell to give long commands to set volume change on devices in a group! I have all minis and theres no way to get them to "reset" to same volume level. Also, any chance well get Stereo playback using two google minis?

You cannot cast UA-cam audio to chrome cast audio only dongle, and UA-cam music is junk, you cannot cast your music apps like power amp and cast to Chromecast audio I want to use C.C.A with my amps and dacs but cannot so over all a third party app is needed to work around Google's attempting to force me on thier platform, which is understandable but frustrating...Bluetooth is the last free form option, wifi being superior in codex transfer is why I chose C.C.A that and it had optical output shame they destroy the best features of everything they do
This topic is spot on. I literally did this yesterday when I got my second google home mini. I have my Chromecast audio hooked up to my Bose system via aux and the rest are around the house. Great video
Brett, you are right about that. Only music we can play Chromecast, Chromecast audio and Home mini. That's the way I have the group. 2 Chromecast, 2 Home mini and 1 Chromecast audio. I have only one group with all of them with only one Chromecast on the living room for a get together with friends and family, on kitchen, living room, porches front and back and on my studio.
I have the newer Chromecast hooked up to my TV and the TV is hooked up to my soundbar /subwoofer. After adjusting the delay the music sounds awesome! I'm going to see what other speakers in my house I can add to the hub 😀
I've done pretty much all of this already and have music in every room in my house the only additional thing that I did is I got myself to Google home Max and pair them up for stereo effect wow it's like having an old school stereo. Thanks and by the way thank you for using that phrase cuz all the videos I've watched they don't mute that phrase and you know what happens.

Don’t know how, but I had the ability to cast Bluetooth from my iPhone (outside of any app) and be able to listen to music from my phone saved locally. I was even able to watch UA-cam video and the sound would come through my nest mini group. Seems I lost the ability when I added a 3rd nest mini speaker. The actual group would show up as a Bluetooth device in my iPhone Bluetooth settings. I need to figure a way to get that back
I have a Chromecast audio connected to my subwoofer and it works great. I always have to manually select it in the home app (to turn it on) when I watch TV. Bummer that it just can't turn on by itself.
Awesome video. Really wish there was a way to sync audio from videos/movies. I'm guessing it's only a matter of time til all my minis can become a home theater system with stereo surround sound 😎

The best way to do this is to create a Routine that is scheduled to go off everyday at the time that you need. However, when I try to add a speaker group with the Google Home app on my mobile phone (iPhone 7), it tells me, "No devices found on this network". However, when I back out of the set up speaker group screen, all of my devices appear on my Google Home app.
Great advise as usual Brett, keep it up. One question, if the Google Home hub is connected to a bluetooth speaker, can you also get the sound to come out of the Home hub's speaker as well as the connect bluetooth speaker?
Have you managed it out? Im looking for a way to play music both from nest hub and bluetooth speaker in the same time. Can find a way to add those two to a group.

So I have a question, if you have your computer directly connected to your TV (used as a monitor), could you cast the Audio from within Chrome Tab to an Audio device or Group. (Would you have delays in the Audio?). Thereby allowing UA-cam videos with Audio group speaker playback... Thanks

My question to you at this time is, I set the ambient mode to clock and I have been trying to find out how to go back into that setting to change it. What are the steps I need to perform to get back into that setting and change it from the clock? Thank you, keep up the great videos, very helpful.

From what I have found it all depends on the app. Since those apps aren't working there is not much you can do. Make sure your Chromecast is up to date as a recent update slightly improved Bluetooth.
The easiest way is to explain it here. Out of the box it comes with a 3.5mm AUX cable that you can put in the input of a speaker. You can also purchase an RCA cable that will input to the white and red channels on a speaker or you can get an optical cable attachment that let's you plug into an optical input.

Yes, I had the same issue. Google removed audio group support for Chromecast video (Mine is 3rd. gen). However, you can still cast the audio without creating the group.
Im following these instructions and still cant get music to come out of BOTH my speakers. Only ONE, its frustrating me to the core and even more so that this video whos instructions ive followed, still wont let it work FML

@@lallanana1361 in the Google Home app select the + at the top left corner. Then select Create Speaker Group. If you see both devices, tap on them and create the group.
Without them being paired to Google Homes? There are a few ways to do this. Some speakers support two being able to be paired together like the UE Booms. Or if you have a new Samsung device you are able to do it in the settings with Dual Audio, see here: ua-cam.com/video/4XsDptFIEws/v-deo.html
This isnt working anymore. Google has removed several features when it comes to group-feature. You now have to controll each speaker separately when it comes to volumes. This because Sonos won against Google in a court.
Don't work..they won't play all together anymore...I added another Google in the bedroom I cannot get them to group.. yes I reset them all and tried took the app off... I tried it off nothing works
I'm sorry to hear Rose. Have you tried creating a new Audio Group? Go to the main page of the Google Home app. Select the + on the top left. Select Create Speaker group and then choose the devices you want to group. Also make sure you are connected to your WiFi first. If they are not showing you may want to close the app and open it again.

When I say hey google both google nest audio speakers talk how do I stop this
For some reason my tv won’t show up on the menu with all the speakers can someone help me.
Yes, I had the same issue. Google removed audio group support for Chromecast video (Mine is 3rd. gen). However, you can still cast the audio without creating the group.
Love you man one quick question how can I connect Shazam on chromecast
Can you do this with Apple Music?
Im following these instructions and still cant get music to come out of BOTH my speakers. Only ONE, its frustrating me to the core and even more so that this video whos instructions ive followed, still wont let it work FML
If the speaker is added to a group are you still able to cast to the speaker individually or will it then only be usable in the group?
It will still work alone or in the group. Both options will show up when casting from your phone.
if i do this with spotify, will it show the current song on the tv? and will this be big (the whole screen?) or just the small banner in the under left corner?🤔
Thanks, any ideas on how to delete an audio group if you don't want it anymore?
Go to the Groups at the bottom of the home page of the Google Home app. Ope. The group you want to delete and at the bottom select Delete Group.
@@TechWithBrett awesome, worked a treat, thank you for your help
Thanks for the help.

In all truth I have two hubs one Google home two minis 1 Google Max and 1 generation three Chromecast and and who knows what else I have a service that comes in and takes care of it but Brett generally helps me figure out how to run it! Without him I don't know cuz this was my kids bright idea. I know I worked in and around electronics for 31 years but this was my last thing I really wanted but I love the automated the eufy and all the general Services now
Nice video
Thanks!
This was made one year and one day before my birthday. 😱
If I want to use voice to cast the music to the audio group, when I say "OK, Google" among so many speakers, will all speakers respond to me?
Nice video friend
My router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Each has its own SSID (but same password) Do my phone and all Chromecast devices (I have mostly Minis) need to be on the same band (SSID), or is just being on the same network (router) enough? I don't mean just for creating a speaker group, but for general "getting along" as well.
Same SSID, I would recommend it all be on 2.4 GHz
That doesn't matter u just need to connect with the same router
Is that Sonos 1 connected to chromecast audio?
Hey so my home group only has sound in one google assistant
Do you have a long driving license or do they just use a smaller font?
Hey there Brett, i just purchased and installed the new Google Chromecast and i wanted to create a Speaker group with my Google Home mini and Googel Home Hub, but i cant seem to add my Chromecast to my group. I can see and add both my Hub and Mini, but i cant seem to add my Chromecast. Any advise? Maybe I need to update my Chromecast?
Is this the latest Chromecast? It is possible it could have not been pushed the latest update just yet since installing.
@@TechWithBrett I just got it 2days ago. Maybe your right and I need to wait till it updates. Thank you and keep the videos comming. I enjoy them and they are very very awesome reviews
Hi , why I see only one device when I hear the create a group option?? Please help
Could you provide now details? How many devices do you have? Are they link to your account and showing in the Google Home app?
@@TechWithBrett
Hi!! I have a Google home and a Google mini nest, and I am trying to create a group... however, I can see only one of the device, not the other. I have checked and they are all on the same WiFi. What could I do next? Thank you for your help
@@lallanana1361 in the Google Home app select the + at the top left corner. Then select Create Speaker Group. If you see both devices, tap on them and create the group.
@@TechWithBrett I have done this but as I said only one device is visible to select
Can you create groups with just normal Bluetooth speakers? If so how? Thanks.
Brett I have not commented for so long I got a new galaxy tab a how do I change its quality cause it’s only 480p
How can i watch and listen UA-cam videos with this stuff? :(
Hi I am wondering if the Mi Box s supports Audio Groups ?
No it does not.
Nice...& cool...
Google music won't cast. I know I have to put the music on my computer. How??
This is the tutorial you are looking for: ua-cam.com/video/VHp16MUT4bI/v-deo.html
Thank you so very much!
wow man ur really amazing keep rocking
Thank you!
Not working for me in Canada...I'll fuss around.
The location has moved and is not in the top left plus of the top of the app. See here: ua-cam.com/video/tdY3Q0xqBvI/v-deo.html
Will this work in Canada? I cannot find the option to add the Chromecast (3) to a speaker group.
There update might still be rolling out to other countries. I'll see if I can find more details.
@@TechWithBrett Thanks! Also wondering if I could use more than 5 photos in ambient mode from my google photos album.
You can use thousands of photos in the photo album for ambient mode. Is that your question?
@@TechWithBrett It will only use 5 auto selected photos to display, can I change/customize that? Thanks!
Lew, Matthew yes for sure
HOW AND WHERE DO I FIND TO UPDATE CONVERSATIONS??
For the Home Hub? It just started to roll out. It could takes few weeks.
@@TechWithBrett yes I did all that two or three times lol
@@TechWithBrett I see a lot of people are having the same problem been reading on the internet everyone seems to be going through the same thing
Brett why does this not my show m 50 viziio chromecast built in
Hi, how can I connect my JBL flip 3 via bluetooth?
Yes you can to your Google Home.
@@TechWithBrett I've looked at the current home app but I can't find where to add it :(
Tap on the Google Home in the Google Home app and find the Default Speaker. There you select Bluetooth and pair it to the JBL Flip.
@@TechWithBrett thanks, been searching for that setting for ages
