HOW TO MAKE GARLIC SPARE RIBS with RED FERMENTED TOFU - The Tipsy Cookery

  • WOWW! This recipe surprised me! My mom made a similar dish, but she usually braises her ribs when she uses the Red Fermented Soybean Curd.
    There are a lot of different brands of this fermented soybean curd (tofu) but I found this brand to be the best! This comes in a cute clay pot with the fermented tofu inside a small plastic bag. This stuff is super salty and has a very pungent flavour, so use it sparingly!
    Once the ribs are marinated and deep fried, the garlic and chilis are added and stir fried in a PIPING HOT WOK! This adds a nice smokey, garlicy and spicy aroma!

    Recipe:
    Pork Spare Ribs
    1.5 pieces of RED Fermented Soybean Curd
    1 tbsp Shaoxing Wine
    1.5 tsp Light Soy Sauce
    1/2 tsp White Pepper
    1.5 tbsp White Sugar
    2 gloves Garlic (Grated)
    1 tsp Ginger (Grated)
    2 tbsp Butter
    3 cloves Garlic
    2 Thai Chili
    1 tsp Salt
    1 bunch Green Onion

    Super delicious beer! Nice and light with a very nice hoppy flavour! I think more breweries need to start doing dry-hopped Blonds!

      Sorry, I didn't record the exact weight of the ribs. I'd say it's approximately 15-20 pieces or so
