I am so glad you put this video up early. I discovered I was doing front loops wrong so forged row 9 that I had just started and going to do it correctly. Thank you for putting this video up early.
I’m assuming if I want to do five motif repeats I need to do a fdsc row of 255? I’m using similar colors to the pattern. This will be my first project with this technique so I’m excited to learn through the year!
Question: If we wanted to do 3 panels, then how many would we need to chain? According to instructions from what I can tell is that we would chain 48 x 3= 144 +4 stitches. However, I'm two stitches short. 🤔
You are right - it would be 147fsc, or 148ch (which when you work back should give you 147sc). Have you double checked your sc count after working back?
Feedback: I wish the pattern specified where to put the FLODC (in the front loop of the same color from previous row), or how to adapt the rows if you plan to make five parts. Nowhere in the pattern does it say the last sc is ONLY at the very end of the whole row, not after every section.
I am trying to get the free graph but can’t find it anywhere with the link given there is only a picture of the graph but if you click on the picture it is only to pin to pinterest.
For the 5 repeat blanket I made, I used less than one ball of each colour per section. The yardage from the Snowy Mittens blog post also gives you an approximate yardage per single repeat. I used Stylecraft Special DK.

You’re very welcome! I’m so glad that it has helped ☺️. Which colours have you chosen for your Snowy Mittens?
@ I’m sticking with the blankets colors. So I’m using the Kelly Green and White.

😄
Not quite - it is 48 stitches per repeat, then add on 3 to your total (243 I believe).

Saving for later!!!!
Thank you so much ☺️. Are you making the Months of the Year Blanket?

Thank you for the feedback. This is why I linked to the other video tutorial near the start of the video. I shall make this clearer next time.
I like to follow a written pattern. Where can I find that?
The written pattern can be found here within the eBook - payhip.com/b/UKH4g/af653cc56adc30c

Unfortunately there is no download. You can right click and save the image, or screenshot it, for printing at a larger scale.
How do we know how much wool each section takes? I’m guessing I need to cast on enough stitches do repeat 5 times?? For the whole blanket?
