Wow, I must be getting soft in my old age, what memories and feelings. Nice video, can't wait for the next, wish I took more photos back when it was fun being a railroader.
I'm sure the people in these photos are really appreciative they're in them as a recollection of their time at the W.C. Very nicely done! By the way, I remember Glenn Kerbs from when he worked in the engineering department at the Chicago & North Western Railway in the 1980s. I worked quite a bit as a locomotive engineer on the Soo Line/CP side of Schiller Park from 1995 to 2015. Thanks for sharing!
I knew Glenn quite well at WC. Working at Schiller from 1994 to 1999 on the WC side of the building, I got to know a lot of the Soo guys - we must have encountered each other. I remember RJ and Wayne, to name a few switchmen. And I continually battled with YM Rosey (but fair is fair - we were always using your yard and blocking you). And Jerry at B12. The night job that went to work at 2230 and transferred cars to B'ville and back cracked me up - I swear they were always tied up by 0030 - 0100 at the latest. I used to watch their shove into the yard at Schiller at the north end.
Railroaders are truly an interesting bunch... most "normal" people will never understand...as a rail, I can certainly appreciate that you documented your coworkers... The memories and the nicknames won't be forgotten. Nice video.

Always admired the Wisconsin Central-love this video.

Good people, crazy times on the Schiller Park & Northern "The Aroundabout Route".
Thanks for making me wish I was there. The closest I can get is that I went to school with Paul who I believe is Ray's younger brother.
When we still had character. Now we are just we.
I still have my "Shut up and cooperate..." hat!
