@@RailBrothersProductions I've seen pretty much every section of rail that's still there, it's cool to see it all laid out. We also have abandoned rails down the road on Manheim and Armitage that still has an active crossing on it.
There actually is an old video of a Wisconsin Central SD45 leading a train on the connection! Keep in mind that if I do put the link in the comment section that it isn’t my video and that it also takes place after the CN merger and when the SD45s were being retired. @@RailBrothersProductions I don't think so. Do you think the following f40ph that is been out of service for a while well get repainted? 102,104,110,115,122,123,124
Well they figured it would be easier to merge the two lines together to make an underpass at Grand Avenue so they ripped up the Indiana Harbor tracks and relocated them where the Canadian national was.
@@ernestpassaro9663 actually that's not true because yes trucks can go more places than trains but trains have the ability to carry over a hundred containers on one trip versus a truck can only carry one maybe two containers per trip which wastes a lot more fuel which is why trains are more fuel efficient at their jobs then trucks.
Dan's first "railfanning" experience was by the IHB/CN tracks. Should of posted that picture. 👶👍
Lol yes
Crazy. I could not believe this
Guys my close up video is outdated I need to redo it so don’t expect it to be good
So is mine 😂
Nice job. Good research. Thanks for the photo credits. I like the explanation of the crossing at Chesnut.
Thank you. Glad you liked it.
I live in Franklin Park and pass these tracks everyday, it's nice to see a video about them
Thanks, that's the main reason I made it after seeing how little people knew about these old tracks.

R.I.P. The IHB tracks along with the CN line and the signals.

Where is this line located?
St. Paul Minnesota to Duluth Minnesota
Cool do you know of any websites I can look into to get more information on this line?
I recommend Wikipedia. Or if you have face book look up SCXY Skally line groups and you will find a lot of info and photos

Unfortunately the line house 2 Unique railroad crossings which were ripped out.

Because basically railroads can’t compete with other forms of transportation
Ehh not quite, everything has their own purpose. Railroads can transport huge amounts of goods efficiently while semis are good for short distances
