I was there at the Perelachaise and visited Jim Morrison's grave in October 1989 when there was a fog that gave the graveyard a specral air. The mystique of Jim Morrison will never die ☘☘☘
I think I’ve just seen Bearded Jim on an ad for Vinted before this vid. Jokes aside this is a really lovely place it looks so peaceful. The trees are beautiful. Jim passed too soon.
I visited his graveyard in August, 1994. And I did not need a map of the cemetery because I watched the film The Doors so many times that I recognize immediately where it was located. Love Jim Morrison FOREVER.
@@raspberrysherbet5285 I used google maps when I was back there a few months ago, I think if you went early in the morning maybe you could jump the barrier and get right up close to Jim's grave! Long live the Doors! That's cool you got right up to his headstone 🙌
@@michaelorourke5848 Me too. It is just so sad because his death was so preventable. He literally drank himself to death. Had he learned to control his drinking he might still be alive today and still making great music. The same goes for the other members of the "27" club. Jimi, Janis and Jim. It just now occurred to me, I have no idea why I never noticed before, but in addition to being all 27 when they died, their first names all began with the letter J. That's a little creepy.
@@jsragman8045 For sure JS, wouldn't it be amazing if they were all still alive, Can you imagine what albums the Doors would have produced since and even Jim I'm sure would have released solo material too
@@michaelorourke5848 So many great musicians killed themselves or fucked themselves up permanently with drugs and alcohol. I was not a Black Sabbath but look how fucked up Ozzie is. I am 64 and can honestly say I have NOT A SINGLE TIME used any street drug, and I grew up in the 60's and 70's. I drink (I LOVE good scotch and bourbon) but I do not drink to excess. I hurt myself a time or two at UNC in the last 70's and it occurred to me that the hangover (and I get BAD ones) is not not worth it. As soon as I start to feel the buzz, I am done.
@@jsragman8045 So true JS, All the great's we have lost over the year's is way too many, Alcohol can be fun but it can also cause a lot of pain and suffering, All the young people I know is gone because of it, I guess it's like most things if it's not abused it's ok, it's all about knowing when to stop for sure
That's pretty cool, Paris is a beautiful city too, Jim was gone 20 years when you visited and now its 50 years!,How time flies,Hope you enjoyed your visit 🙏
Did Jim Morrison choose his burial place ? What about the funeral and other things like the Casket he would be forever inhabit.I hope he Rests in Peace
Hi George, that's a good question, he seems to be buried without a lot of people even knowing which is a little strange, Hope the legend that is Jim is resting in eternal peace for sure

All our lives, we sweat and save.. Building for a shallow grave.
Jim was right Steve, There was never a truer statement!

Hi , Jim morrison is my god!!
Does anyone know what tune this is in back round
Hey there, this is actually my tune, We love Jim!
I am still a huge Jim Morrison and Doors fan. His death was so preventable.
Hey JS, it's a pity Jim is gone for sure, but I guess it's still great to have the music, I still listen to them regularly

It looks like they blocked off Jim grave so you can't get close to it and put some flowers
People are strange -- they keep lighting fires on it for some reason.
I'd like to go see his grave on my own but this was cool. He was so handsome, my husband resembles him some what people say .😁 I think so too..
You should go Rosemary, you won't regret it, I want to go back too some day, Lucky you to have a husband that looks like Jim! 🙏

For all you so called doors fanatics not true fans his body was cremated and scattered in Washington by his younger sister and older brother
Chi ha rubato il busto del grande Jim Morrison
