This guitar simply doesn't sound right for Back Pages imo. Gretsch gave me a 12-string elec (long story) about 30 years ago and I could not make it sound right on any recordings. Your video brings back that memory. However... your Rick video with the Thalia capo made me smile because (1) I often use fingerpicks and capo when I use 12-string elecs on record sessions (no beating that sound!!!!!...capo on 12 string= secret sound weapon). Which Rick model is in that capo video? Personally, the best 12-string elecs I get the b-e-s-t recorded sounds with are an SG 12 (not a doubleneck) and... the holy grail for the best recordings I've ever done on 12-string+capo+metal fingerpicks+ Marshall jmp 100watt..... was/is with the rare 12-string Firebird in 1974. Man oh man... I still listen to the multitracks solo'd on that guitar. At any rate, while I own many White Falcons, I just can not get behind Gretsch elec 12 strings. Too muddy and sound too much like an acoustic 12 with a cheap pickup added.....the hollow body being a main culprit in the bad sound. THANK YOU THOUGH for the Rick capo video and for using fingerpicks with that capo.
Yes a Janglebox with a Deluxe Reverb.
and you'll probably feel a whole lot better once you get a Gretsch 12 string!
Sounds great!
Sounds great Gary!
Brilliant musicianship!
solid good clean playing. I enjoyed the jangle.
I had to check my guitar case. Yeah, my 5422/12 is still there. It's not a Ric, but it is a pretty nice guitar isn't it?
👍👍🇩🇪

It would sound much closer if it was strung Rick-style. That's the way that I have mine and it does make a difference.
