- The link reaction and the Krebs cycle (also known as the citric acid cycle) both occur within aerobic respiration. I got through the biochemistry of these processes in the level of detail required for AQA A-level Biology.

You are a life saveeerrr!!! Hopefully your videos and revision pack will help me get the grade requirements for med school!
ahhh fingers crossed!!! Keep putting in the practise and trying exam questions too 🙌🙌
thank you so much for these videos. they are so helpful and explain these topics so easily.
Thank you 😊
I'm really pleased these videos are helping you
thank you so much idk where i'd be without your videos :)
You're welcome 😊 So pleased my videos are helping you!!!
You make life so much easier 😭
I'm so pleased!!!! ☺️☺️
Am so grateful for these videos as it has made A level biology so simple and interesting 😊
😁😁😁 yay so pleased
Do we have to know that from 6C to 4C the actual steps I.E 5C formed and etc. or can we just say overall what happen like you explained in the video
The explanation is very clear. Thank you.
So glad you found it helpful 😊
thank you , I understand perfectly in the link reaction why wasnt 2 acetate molecules being produced mentioned? does it only produce once because I thought the acetate would be produced twice as there is two pyruvate molecules.
Thank you so much!!! All these videos are helping me so much so could you please make a playlist with all the practicals please because my school skipped many and I'm really struggling with practical exam questions..
Hello,
I am glad you are finding them helpful!
I will be adding the practical videos throughout the year, but I will definitely put them all onto a playlist so you can see what is there already and it highlights when they are loaded!
In the link reaction, where does the oxygen come from to make the CO2?
From gas exchange ( eg. diffusion in alveoli and then transported to respiring tissue via haemoglobin )
I love your videos 😍😍😍
I love you more 😘
So pleased you like my videos :D
the products for link reaction for 1 pyruvate does it not form 1 NADH 1CO2 1ACETYLCOA because a pyruvate is only 3 carbons so 1 is lost to make CO2 which then forms acetate but how does 1 glucose form 2 CO2 that doesn't make sense
for one molecule of glucose you make 2 x pyruvate (glucose is 6 carbons, so it splits to make 2 x pyruvate a 3 carbon compound).
Therefore, for 1 glucose molecule, the link reaction happens twice, which is why you get two CO2 .
❤
😢
ur already saving my life 2 weeks into school 😭
aww so pleased it is helping you 😊
didn't help at all well done
ah sorry to hear that
What don’t you understand
No need to be toxic. Just state your issue.
