I am so glad that you and your Husband have this awesome property to help all these beautiful animals and we are blessed to be a part of this... thank you
Anna is looking a different horse in such a short period , mentally she s a different horse , seems to have more interest in her surrounding s , eating , the other horses , she s a very lucky mare, from death a door to soon to be full of life and vitality , 3 months time she s going to look unrecognisable when she gains further weight and fills out ! Thanks for doing what you do , another Belgium saved from slaughter !
So nice to see another update on Anna. She looks healthy and happy, good job! I bet she is very grateful for your loving care. Her last owners had given up on her and let her starve. Life is looking up for Anna!
Someone it seems bred her to get a foal then just threw her away. I wonder if her foal has made it. Poor sweet girl. Good job with Anna and all of the horses.
It’s hard to believe you’ve only had Anna for three weeks. She is doing soooo well, and definitely putting on weight. I can’t wait to see her in a year when she really knows she can trust you and that her home and life are safe. She has clearly suffered soooo much for soooo long. It is wonderful to see the great care you take of Anna and all the horses. Such a beautiful ending for them all after lives of total servitude. Well done!
God knows Anna might never have had a lick tub , ♥️ the baby goat likes Anna lol 👍Charlie is a tough guy when it comes to eating 😂😂Anna is thriving , Julie look after your self and Thank you for the video ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Look at you Anna - definitely more alert and filling out. Her kicking the gate 😂 And walking you through the tree! Maybe she thinks that’s part of your daily walk 😉 Thank you for posting an update - and I hope you feel better very soon, too! 🙏
Bless Anna, she's looking so much brighter in her eyes and the weight gain is great. Well done Julie . 👏. Love how all of them are waiting for their breakfast.
watch for abscess in hoof. My olde girl had Cushing's and I had to wash soap water hooves to stop that in her. She was not able to fight them well. we used antibiotics to fight that. she got lots they told me tick or fly bites. she just could not fight germs well. Clean foot and healthy we put rubbing alcohol then dry it to help fight germs. her legs swelled for inflamed feet.
Anna is looking really good, she looks to have a bit of a sheen to her coat now, although it is shocking to see how skinny she is from the top view. She seems to have such a sweet personality, I am sure it won’t be long before she looks as good as your other horses. Thank you for the wonderful video, it was so uplifting! Hope you get well soon. Love from 🇬🇧x
Thanks so much for saving these wonderful creatures; they deserve the life you are giving them. What an improvement Anna has made already!! Please keep up the good work!!🙂
Although she is still skinny, she is throwing her head around whilst eating so that's a good sign. Keep on keeping on, same mountain just further on ☺. Cheers from olde England.
I've got a sparkle in my eye seeing Anna's progress. The before/after photos are awesome, keep them coming. Hope you're feeling better soon. Maybe for fun you can cut off the lower tree branches to see if Anna realizes you're having some fun back at her. 😁
Anna is absolutely Gorgeous! She is looking so much better. It will take time once she gains all her weight back shes going to be even more gorgeous! Bless you for saving Anna...❤
Thanks so much for this update on Anna. I think she needed time to arrive and to be sure that this was really her new life. When you talked about her new habit of asking for breakfast I thought: "Anna and Charlie - alive and kicking" would be a nice comment. 😉😂😂
She is looking good! So glad she and Charlie are making big steps to be healthy. Very happy for you and it's wonderful she is so settled. Take care and thanks ❤
You are so awesome and special ❣️ So wonderful to know there are people like you out there. There's so much awful stuff going on in the horse world. Really.... Bless you for what you and your husband are doing. 🥰🤠
watch out sawdust dust if trouble getting air in lungs use a mask even shavings. watch for molds that also will bother lungs a lot. FYI Asthma is allergies to those things .
Your greathorses, I see them as my large dogs and put their food bowl up so they can eat easier. Keep it up, hope you can do a lot more they need your help
Perfect Job!!! Awesome Update!!! Anna is slowly getting there and can't wait until she is there, but let it be slow, she is beautiful just like the others!!!!
She's looking so much better. Will her spine and hip area ever fill in? I sure hope so. We rescued an old, emaciated mare and she got a good-sized belly, but her hip area never filled in.
Hope you're feeling well real soon! Love your logo; it's so pretty! Anna is the most recent jewel for your pretties box. Indeed, she has a long way to go, but seeing her progress is heartening. I'm guessing 3 to 6 months before she is nicely filled out and more muscular. The tribe is so curious about her; they don't seem to understand why they are separated from Anna. They are probably also a little jealous of the time you spend with her. 🤭Thanks for the update! 🥰
Thank you! Our logo was made by friends daughter that’s a sophomore in high school! She’s so talented! The vet said probably 6-8 months to get her to where she needs to be weight and strength wise. It took the others about that long to fill out. But she’s definitely on the right track and road to recovery.
A comment and question; Santiago Michelek has a channel on YT featuring a Shire he purchased sight unseen who was in much the same condition as Anna. Apollo is currently being trained as a dressage horse - beautifully athletic and in excellent health after the farrier corrected a horrible shoeing job. I'm a huge fan of both Apollo and Anna. She's going to be gorgeous. Question: Why do Belgians not have feathers?
I've also been following Apollo, he's a beauty isn't he. I'm sure Anna will look like a different horse in a few more months with all the love and care she's receiving and deserves. ❤
Thank you for following our story, we truly appreciate your support. Belgians do have feathers it looks like Anna’s were shaved at some point because they are short. Our other horses have longer feathers. Anna mane is shaved too so I’m guessing whoever had her kept all her hair short for the job she was doing in their farm.
No…None of these horses are in a condition to be pulling. They are senior horses that are here for retirement. Most of them have arthritis and other joint problems. Walking around is hard enough for them at this point in their lives.
Yay! So excited she’s feeling better! What are the blob things on insides of her front legs near her joints? (I don’t know anything about horses.) Get some rest and feel better yourself! ❤️
Sounds like a 'chestnut,' which is a callous growth. The majority of domestic horses have them on all 4 legs. It's thought it's a left over from earlier in horses evolution.
Are you going to film her hoofs trimmed? she is looking great .Did you name her or was that her name already? can you change a horse s name and do they learn a new one ?
Yes when the farrier comes out I will definitely do a video. We named her. When horses come out of a kill pen they are just given a number. If they had a name we would never know. With Charlie…if he had another name…he learned that his name now is Charlie. He looks in my direction if I say his name…so I think he understands 🤣
That’s so nice of you to offer your time. I take care of all the animals but if you would like to come visit them they love visitors. You can send me an email at fletcherfarmsamarillo@gmail.com
We have no idea what happened to the foal. Most likely the Amish farm she came from kept the foal for new stock and dumped her for the issue she was having with her leg that turned out to be arthritis in her stifle joint.
Swelling is due to her standing and doing so much traveling. She can from Ohio all the way to Texas and back to our place in a short period of time. The swelling gets better every day after we take our walks. She’s pretty weak too after not eating like she should have been. But she’s gaining strength every day
She's looking so much better. Sweet precious baby girl 💋💋💋💋💋
She is looking good.

💖💋💖Poor angel we love you so much 💖💋💖
💖💋Thank you and your crew so much for all the great thinks you do every day 💖god bless you all 💖💋
She looks amazing! In no time she will be in perfect health. Thank you so much for giving this girl a home!

So nice to see another update on Anna. She looks healthy and happy, good job! I bet she is very grateful for your loving care. Her last owners had given up on her and let her starve. Life is looking up for Anna!
Thanks for the update Julie, it's lovely to see the life returning into Anna. Hope you feel better soon. ❤
Her belly dapples are starting to show & shine a bit! You keep up an immaculate barn!
You are a very special young lady to look after these beautiful horses
Wow she is so relaxed now .. she looks great yay
Someone it seems bred her to get a foal then just threw her away. I wonder if her foal has made it. Poor sweet girl. Good job with Anna and all of the horses.
Her foul is probably still on the farm where she came from working like Anna did. I wish we could find the goal but theres no way we can.

Bless Anna, she's looking so much brighter in her eyes and the weight gain is great. Well done Julie . 👏. Love how all of them are waiting for their breakfast.
Hard for Anna not to feel the love she now see's on a daily basis... With the abuse she suffered gone she'll get better as the weeks pass.
She knows she’s in a “safe place” 💞. Most important with her settling in. Good job Julie 👍.

Thank you… I am feeling better! The tree…that’s the only bigger tree on the property 🤣 she seems to like that branch 🤦♀️
Thank you. Your such a great person.
Sorry you aren't feeling well! Please take care of yourself! Good to see her lookin so good! I always feel better after watching her progress!

Unbelievable how cruel people can be to starve animals and treat them so harsh/cruelly! Happy Anna is doing better!🙏

Progress she does look brighter and has a bit more pep in her step. She does have a more cheerful expression.
She looks so much better. You guys are doing an amazing job with her. and all the others.

I’ll have to check out Apollo’s story! Thanks for letting me know
@@FletcherFarmsAmarillo Perhaps the previous owner didn't want to groom her? I've only seen shaved manes on Akhel-Tekes.
Good job 👍
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Do You think they miss doing work... Probably be good for their MUSCLES to hitch them up AND have them do some light pulling

She was rescued 3 weeks ago…we have a total of 7 right now. The original 5 rescued in February, Freya who was rescued in March and we just got Anna.

Why the Amish treat animals like this just baffles me. They also are the owners of puppy mills here in Ohio. 😢
What is in a lick tub.
