Oh my gosh, imagine being 15 years treated like a machine, and then, maybe also being on your last leg (hence why you’re at a disposal venue), and then being scared for worse as you’re loaded into the next step, and then getting to Julie and Cory’s. You’re lying down, in the mud, expecting nothing and you have a herd standing near, and a caring, capable Human rush to your side, then a Vet, then you’re standing without someone yelling in your ear, and you’re drinking without being left, and you’re eating fricken the most beautiful hay, and you finally feel what that would feel like. What a treasure you and Cody are Julie, thank you for providing them, Anna, those passed on, with a calm, compassionate retirement. It is beyond (my) words on how important you are to the Horses, your viewers like me, and the Earth. Thank you so, so much.
These horses come to you, frightened and tired from overwork. With you they start a new kind life, with plenty of food, care, and all injuries seen to. How wonderful. Keep up the wonderful care you and Corey are giving to these wonderful big horses, who thought their end had come. Xxxx
So glad Anna got up off the ground and is doing well.Thank you for the work that you and the foundation are doing, The miss treatment that some of these horses have suffered breaks my heart but now they are in there forever home and can live out their golden years with love and safety, blessings to all.
You guys are awesome! These horses looked so scared, but soon they will understand they are now safe. They definitely deserve all the food, love, and medical care you will provide them. Thank you for your kindness! The world needs more of it! ❤
I am always impressed by these horses when they are being rescued, no matter how much turmoil or distress they may have been through, they are always gentle and calm from the first time they meet you. You must give off a sense of security and safety!! ❤️
Thank you! They are a gentle breed and thats why we chose to rescue the draft horses since we didn't have experience with horses. We have learned so much!
Wow Julie what lovely brave young people you are - to devote your lives to these lovely creatures without a load of experience - God bless you! Look at the love you are bringing into our world ❤️🙏
I so wish that bill goes thru, and the Armish will not be allowed to throw these beautiful draft horses away after the use and abuse them. I have said this before and I will say it again loud and clear, GOD BLESS YOU, COREY, AND ALL OF YOU FOR DOING GOD'S WORK, YOU WILL BE REWARDED❤❤❤
Goodness gracious, the gelding that was loaded first ... must be near to 18 hands, give or take. He is HUGE... but lovable, and given time, loving. Well done on all your good work, efforts and demeanour. Thanks for saving another 2 gentle giants. Joh, Bunbury. Western Australia.
These horses must think they have died and gone to heaven! What a wonderful situation they have been so blessed to wind up in! Love the narratives that you do to help viewers know what is going on with them. As a child I was crazy about horses and even had part ownership with one named Old Bill. He was a sweet, mellow old boy. It is so wonderful that these horses have such a peaceful, stressless life for their retirement. Thank you for providing them such love!
I have the biggest smile on my face!!! Made me so happy to see the boys loading on the trailer and getting to their new home. So handsome and Hansel will soon gentle up with your loving care.! You guys are awesome !❤❤❤
So glad the boys got to you! They looked so stressed and worried. I really wish we could let them know that they are going to be ok. It must be so stressful for them until they come to your place! I love the new names - they are German names! 😊 And I am so glad Anna is ok and doing good. Thank you for the update Julie!
Poor Anna. She was so emaciated when you rescued her. She’s improved so much. God bless her! God bless the Big Hoof Foundation! Pray she’ll regain the strength and confidence to get back up if she falls. It takes a horse 11 months to give birth. The birthing process is exhausting for them. Human moms you know what we had to go through. Then there is the nursing, the intense protection of the mares for their foals so they have a chance to survive. To be born with such beauty and perfection then to be abused, neglected, torn down, worn down physically and emotionally and ultimately discarded is plain evil! The suffering is utterly unwarranted. And the foals who wind up in the kill pens with their moms or being born in kill pens? NO justification makes this right. The heart aches deeply. Mind-blowingly painful. 😫😭🤬 How can human beings be this abjectly cruel?! Beyond deplorable, beyond contemptible.
Hansel’s eyes just about made me cry when he was in the trailer….. he looked so hurt and confused! ❤ I bet when he does come around, he is going to be one of those that just wants to be near you all of the time! Glad Anna is feeling better, and clean!!! 😅❤❤ Y’all are so wonderful!!! ❤
Wow, the two new beautiful rescue boys, amazing, thank you for being such an angel Julie, sooo glad Anna is doing OK 👌 the sweetheart girl❤❤ ,thanks again a million times Julie and Cory for the wonderful work you both do for these magnificent beauties ❤❤❤. xxxx
That kill pen has a foal and its mother. How awful some humans are to send them to be slaughtered. Thank you Fletcher farms for saving as many as you can.❤
Hi Julie, the new boys are beautiful and with some TLC they will flourish. You and Corey are amazing with all the love and care you give all the horses. Anna looked amazing after her bath and brush, I hope she will be ok. ❤
I can't even begin to express my heartfelt thanks and respect I have for you, your hubs and all that help you in your mission to save these beautiful and majestic creatures. I can not imagine how much this must weigh on you with all of your responsibilities, but it is evident that all of your herd have been made better for their freedom ride to their sanctuary and loving home. That you are able to give these beautiful babies a dignified and safe retirement is a blessing beyond measure. Thank you for everything you and Big Hoof do for these gorgeous horses.
Elias is so friendly to join you here. The new boys look very nice, especially Hansel, with exceptional weight and muscle mass. Klaus has a particularly gorgeous tail. Hopefully, their Vet visits are straight forward. I believe you will always have to watch Anna, closely. Thank you, sweet angels, and all of you at FF and BHF! You are all heroes.
Yay!! Poor sweet big guys. They really are gentle giants. So horrific how all of the horses are treated. That pretty white brown paint that was there at the livestock barn looked so sweet too. It just breaks my heart how they are tossed away like garbage.
The 2 new boys are as handsome as the rest. 😍 It's nice to see Klaus still has a full tail. I'm glad Anna is doing much better. 🙏 I ❤ seeing Elias at the end. He's so adorable.
Great, great video, Julie & Team BigHoof! SO glad Anna has recovered so well. She is a love! The new boys are beautiful, too. Each has distinctive features and personalities, just like everyone in the herd. I absolutely adore their names! Thank you for all you do for these amazing creatures! ~ With love from Idaho!
Hi again JULIE Happy to see along with an update about the new horses. They seem nice and quiet and content yay. Hoping you're feeling good now too with no further issues. Hoping all the upcoming Vet checkups will be good ones. Will look forward to your next updates. Heartfelt thx always for all you do...
Watching the loading for the "freedom ride" I always wonder what the horses will think. Once again on the road, not sure where this ride ends... And then they realize they now belong to kind humans taking good care of them. No more hard work but good days with their friends, meds for aching joints, tasty feed. They really deserve it. I wonder: how is the gentle giant who was only six when he was dumped and saved by you?
Hi Julie, I think about you and Corey all the time and I am still worried about your injury. I hope you are taking care and not getting to overwhelmed because it is not good for you. God Bless Corey, I know he tries to take as much as he can off of you. All the horses look great!! I can watch them all day long. I just love them❤
Those Auction Stickers - Disgusting! How would these people Working these Auctions Like a Sticker on Them and then a Ride to Hell? Since it is NOT them they do not care! Thank you to the rescuers Savings these horses! They all Deserve Help - poor son of a guns!!!
It's wonderful that you were able to get Anna up and about again, hopefully it won't happen again and it's a huge job to wash a horse, especially one that size!! It's great to see the two new guys starting to settle it and decompress on their arrival, very Best of Luck with them🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴🐎🐴
Hi, Julie. How are you? Just enjoyed watching another interesting video. You do wonders with those sympathetic and kind creatures. You rescue as many of them as possible. Of course l am eager to see more updates. Wish you all the best. Lots of love❤
Hi Julie & "farm family", so glad to see the boys made it home safely! OMG poor Anna glad you got her back up & better! I haven't been able to donate due to unforseen expenses. Will be lined out soon. About the best thing for knots in manes & tails is Avon Skin So Soft & it might also loosen that horrible lot # glue. Side benefit is flies & mosquitos hate it! lol Beats cutting them out. I used the SSS on my horses when I was still showing & competing. Just pour a small amount in your hand & work it in...GOD bless you & the team for all you do!!!
3100 seems to have his full tail, at least - wonderful! 3096 is HUGE, but looks to have lovely action in the very first minute of the video, being herded up the track from the pen area.
Julie, thank you for the updates and I love how the horses become so relaxed around you and the helpers. They all come to you scared and after they start to feel your care and love they relax. Anna has always been one of my favorites. I miss seeing Charlie. He was so handsome. Keep up the good work with your wonderful retired herd they love you too. God bless you all.

Such a beautiful thing to say and so true.
Beautiful speech! But now I am worrying about anna🙏🏼

Your words are so sympathetic and right. Thank you 💖💐
AMEN!!
The Greeters at the Fence were saying. “This place is great you’ll love it here”

Now if we could only enact state-by-state legislation to enforce the neglect and abuse laws……to intervene earlier when the abusers hurt them.

The geldings you just rescued are gorgeous. In due time Hansel will respond to your kindness and love. They’re now living a life they ought to have.
My Amish mare doesn't really want to be messed with either and is very head-shy. Tells a tale!
You and Corey are the BEST, Julie! Thk you for EVERYTHING!!! There are really no words that can express the gratitude that WE ALL have!! ❤🐎❤️
Wow, thank you! We appreciate your support and kind words!
I have the biggest smile on my face!!!

They’re all so gentle in spite of the hard and often cruel lives they led until rescued. Even the new nervous horse wasn’t aggressive.
