- The project begins at the 17 minute mark. The items I found at a recent Vintage Market are shared in the first 17 minutes. The pocket in a pocket is inspired by one Gayle Agostinelli saw or received from another crafter, which I saw in one of Gayle’s videos. Full disclaimer: sized and measurements and process are only based on what I observed about the completed piece. The original Al crafter may have made it in a different manner. Thank you for watching and happy creating.
❤❤❤❤❤❤ Love your haul!!! Love your makes! Love that you're posting so often!!! Thank you for everything!!!❤❤❤
And you are just the kindest. You always make me smile in the very best way. Thank you, Pat ❤️
What a great haul!! Love the pocket in a pocket!!!
Thank you and yes, I knew I had to try it when I saw something similar on Gayle's channel 😊
Thank you, Cori. That is an awesome haul of beautiful items, especially the lace! You have many hours of enjoyment ahead while using this haul or even just touching and handling the pieces! Great project, too! I’m always appreciative and interested in the creative processes that you undertake! Love and big hugs! 😀💞
Thank you, Keryn. Is it tough to find vintage and antique laces in AU? My creative process generally resembles a squirrel on a crazy hunt, which is why I usually film after I've made my decisions and samlpes 😊
Hi, Cori. I’m sure it is much tougher here than in the USA or Europe. Our smaller population and shorter length of time from settlement surely contribute to this. However, I’m not a diligent searcher either, so my limited knowledge may be way off base. I am fortunate that I have some treasures from my grandmothers and my mother-in-law. These would be more vintage than antique, though. I must confess that I have an issue using these pieces as I knew the makers and the hours of work involved in each one. That makes me the collector/hoarder rather than the user! 🤷♀️😀💞
Love the antique market finds 🥰 The fine soft laces were usually used on undergarments and baby clothing. Great make today! Have a blessed day!
Thank you for that information. Many of them are so delicate and lovely. I had a hard time leaving any of it behind 😊
How fun to go to a Vintage Market. Still watching...🎉❤
It was fun! And the Great Junk Hunt is in Salem, OR this weekend... I'm hoping to drive down on Saturday morning 😊
Cori thank u for sharing you wonderful haul, the laces are gorgeous. These pockets are awesome and easy. TFS🌴💕
Thank you so much!
I have lace envy! How beautiful. Upstate NY has nothing like that. Thank you for the tutorial. Love it.
I truly shouldn't have bought the lace as I don't need it, but I was weak. It's so pretty it just called to me 😊
Great haul Cori. Another wonderful tutorial even with the temperamental sewing machine lol. Thank you for sharing your inspiration.
LOL. That darn machine. I'd blame it except for the fact that it was totally my fault for threading it incorrectly 😁
Another great video Cori. Thank you for sharing your process, it really is helpful. I am rather jealous of your beautiful finds at the market! What wonderful treasures.
I did not need them, but I was weak and couldn't leave those beauties behind. Thank you ❤️
Love the pocket in a pocket!
Aren't those great? I truly don't know if I made them correctly, but I knew I had to try when I saw them on Gayle's channel 😊
You could fussy cut out a bee and put it on the tab. It was fun seeing all your new lace! Love this project!
Super idea. Thank you!
Love the pocket! Love all the lace! You did good! ❤😊
LOL. I got lucky, for sure. Thank you!
Another great tutorial and another idea jotted in my notebook 😊. Thank you
Thank you, Elaine!
Lovely laces!! Another to try. Thanks, always, for the inspiration.

Fabulous haul, I love with your sewing machine drawers. 😍
Those silly drawers just keep calling to me! Thank you, Gaye 😊
What a fabulous haul! 🤩All kinds of wonderful goodies. I loved this pocket inside a pocket. Definitely going to make some. 😍 I so appreciate all your great inspiration! Hugs ❤️🤗
Thank you. I did not and do not need all that glorious lace, but I'm weak and I could not walk by. Everyone needs an Achilles heel 😊

I feel and appreciate those hugs Mandy, thank you ❤️
Catching-up on all things by sweet Cori!! It's been busy on my end and happy you are staying creative :) LOVE these pocket w/ a twist concoctions!! So clever!! Wicked awesome vintage finds too, TFS!! Agree, love your creative process and breakdown, always so helpful. Oh my GOSH the Craft-Show session was AMAZING!! Agree NO mushrooms lol!! Super sweet to see you LIVE! You're such a JOY!! Blessings!!
You are so sweet and thank you for making me smile. That challenge was definitely different but a lot of fun. I appreciate those ladies including me. Mushrooms and rainbows on the same project.... it was certainly a challenge!
Another wonderful video. Thanks Cori! 😘
You are so welcome!
Thank you for sharing. This is a great project. You make it look easy.
Thank you, Cynthia 😊

Thank you. Each day is tough... but I'm grateful for them ❤️
You find such beautiful things, I just love the lace!
Thank you! 😊
i really like your pocket!! your instructions are so easy to follow. Thank you!!
You are so welcome and thank you 😊
Thank you for this. I like the pocket in a pocket concept.
An idea for journal closures is using baby head bands.
Super closure idea! Thank you 😊
great video, nice haul and the pocket tucks are perfect! Thanks Cori for sharing!
My pleasure and thank you for the kindness!
Great finds and tutorial ❤
Thank you 😊
So many cool items in your haul. I kept thinking, "Ooo. I love that. Ooo. What a treasure. Ooo. Oh. My. Goodness." And, if course ill me making a sample of this project. I finished my file folder book because it's a gift for someone. I used a Stamperia paper collection, Cosmos, almost exclusively. Very happy with the results. Thank you.
I think I need to retire early so I can actually use all of that lovely lace! Oh... that Cosmos line is gorgeous. Excellent choice!
What a fabulous haul 💜
Thank you! 🤗
Cori, this is another fun piece to make. Thanks. I just made one before going onto the front lawn to watch the eclipse! It’s cute.
So good to hear, thank you and I hope you got a great view 😊
Beautiful Journal 💕
Thank you ❤️
Cute pocket! Going to give that a try soon. Love the colors too! Thanks!
Thank you, Pam 😊
That was good! And your haul, oh such good prices! Here in Ohio in Springfield there's an antique shows with 2 of them extravaganza shows. Prices are a lot higher. So it's fun to see what got. Thanks
I'm always surprised at the huge differences in prices from show to show and area to area. The same post cards can sell for .50 each or be listed at $8.... I think I enjoy the hunt as much as the prize. Well, almost.
Love the pocket in a pocket ❤as always 🩷 your videos
Thank you, Cindy 😊
Awesome ephemera piece, just love it. I went to a Great Junk Hunt after your last video and was able to get a few enamel ware pans for my new craft room when my room is finished. I wasn't able to find any small ones though so still on the hunt. I stopped at an estate sale yesterday, it was the third day of the sale and a woman coming out said there was nothing left but junk (just what I was looking for)😉. There was a room with a bunch of sewing stuff a lot of thread all wound around everything. I found a bunch of pieces of lace, a few newer and some older nice pieces, also found a bunch of embroidered pieces and doilies. They told me everything was half price but nothing I found was marked. I ended up getting a bunch of really old music paper, lace and doilies all for $4, I was very excited.
Super score!!!! So glad you found some treasures. I love those enamel pans and the smaller ones with lids just call to me. Darn them anyway 😊
Thank you for sharing the vintage haul, and it's great to find out that there are places not too far away to find great vintage stuff. I'm in Vancouver, and I don't drive in Portland. I love the pocket in a pocket. I missed Gayle's video on it somehow. 😊
Thank you! Gayle showed it... maybe in a post-retreat share?... but I don't know if she ever did a tutorial on it. I believe she saw it somewhere else and made her own version of it... much as I did here 😊
Tyfs❤️. Think I’ll make these tomorrow. Blessings
Excellent and thank you!
Great haul. I’d faint if I could find old lace
It is such happy stuff. I can never walk by so I have more than I need. But, it looks so pretty wrapped around antique spools 😊
Love what you made ❤ and such a great haul, love all the lace. I watched you on the craft thing with Cara and you did amazing!!😊 Hope you guys will do that again.
Thank you, Darla, and I appreciate you watching the challenge. That was a lot of fun!
All that lace 😮... I am never that lucky when i go to antique stores. So gorgeous!
I'm rarely that lucky, but I'm always grateful when I fond such beautiful pieces 😊
😍❤️
Awesome project! If you could tell how to find the little black weights you use to hold glued items it would be greatly appreciated ❤
Those cuties are magnets! My work surface, from Glassboard Studio, is magnetic. I got those chess piece style magnets from Amazon. They come in very handy!
@CoriDahmen Thanks Cori!
FuN and cute pocket in a pocket, Cori ~ love it and can't wait to try my hand at one👌🥰 Oh my goodness!! Loved your haul!! I can definitely see a couple of road trips in my future... Country Chicks in Centralia for Mother's Day weekend and Girlfriends Market in Lacey for my birthday weekend in November .... Ooooolala 💕💕 You didn't know you were an event planner did you? 😉 Blessings dear one~~~
LOL! I had to FORCE myself to not drive down to Salem today for the Great Junk Hunt there. I mean, 3 1/2 hour drive each way when I truly don't "need" anything else. But it's tempting, I tell you 😊
😃👍🏼
Good morning from Indiana!! 33 more school days after today!! Hey I was wondering, what microphone are you using? The one on my camera is sounding really awful and your sound is really good!! Thanks and have a great day!! Always, Leslie
33? I'm jealous!!! We still have 50-something. We're not out until June 21. Sigh. But the microphone... this is the one I got and it seems to work pretty well. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0817NHGYC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
@@CoriDahmen thank you thank you!! We go back to school here in late July (but not me anymore!! 30 years of teaching and I need a break!!) We have started a countdown in my classroom!! It will be awesome and also very sad.... I know that I am leaving some kiddos that I worry about on a daily/nightly basis. I know they will be in good hands but still... Hugs my friend!! Ordering that microphone now!!!
I can’t find squat right now since I’ve moved to Tennessee who knows where they are?
It's frustrating. Sometimes I can go eons without finding anything and then I find a slew at once. No idea why!
I’m sorry to hear about your son 💔🙏
Thank you. These last few months have been really rough.
@@CoriDahmen I lost my son too, it breaks my heart when I see anyone else going through it 🙏🙏💔💔
@@dianejohnson7212 I’m so very sorry for your loss. Traveling this road is a path I wish on no one. Bless you ♥️
