May I just say that I love your style? You are absolutely wonderful. As other peeps have commented, your humor makes me feel right at home. If I could sit across the table from you, you would have me giggling, laughing and enjoying myself, because you are not frantic or worried or lockstep...you are relaxed and chill, as though to say "no worries, kids...just work things out for yourselves, don't panic, work through any situations that may come up, and enjoy yourselves. Nothing has to be hurried or harried. Have fun while you're creating." I so very much enjoyed your tutorial. Also, your mention of another artist on another channel was generous to us, and kind to the artist you encouraged us to look up on UA-cam.
You are a delight & I find myself feeling calm & de-stressed after watching your tutorial. Thanks again for your ideas. I have so many old books I can use for this clip art never-ending book, and drawers and cabinets full of clip art I've already fussy cut. I too was just stuffing things in lazy-susan style storage units, but your idea lends itself to being able to more easily peruse what I've got, instead of stuffing everything in units or folders and never using any of it. Although I don't mind fussy cutting clip art- it's a mindful activity that keeps my brain from stressing over "life"- I think it's high time I put my clippings into use by arranging the pieces into your style of portfolio. I'm very much looking forward to that-- and then I guess I can finally get on with actually collaging my clippings into art pieces- and that will also be fun. I thank you for that release, because it's been such a long time since I've felt like making art. And we all know that Art Saves Lives.

Checking in from TEXAS. Lady, you are AMAZING! You popped up on my feed first thing this morning and I am so glad I clicked onto your video. Retired several years ago and started journaling as a new hobby. I have about 300+ of those green file folders and hundreds of envelopes, cards, scrapbook paper, magazines, hardback books, etc. My family and friends have asked me to show them how I make junk journals, but they don't have any ephemera to use. Plus we are in different states and quarantining. So, I am going to make your holder, load it up with "loot" and send it to each of them to use and follow along during our new "online family and friends zoom class." Best of all, I will be able to clean out an entire corner of my office/craft room! I am also a new subbie and have subscribed to al john as well. Hello Patricia, I didn't really want to write this in the comments, but it wouldn't go thru messg on Facebook. Mainly because this doesn't have anything to do with this tutorial. This is what I wanted to say.
I was just so thrilled to see that you were back on 2 days ago. I saw you on about a month ago and I was worried that maybe you fell ill or you just stopped doing videos on UA-cam or whatever. But I just thought that you would have never made any new ones again. My mother of 73 and myself of 55 or 56 he kind of forget and stop counting lol. But anyways we just encountered you and love all of your tutorials.. My mother and I are doing one right now together. The one that is the forever storage book where you have the little Timmy people and flowers on the other side well we're both making that now too. And enjoying every minute of it together. We started it on mother's Day and had a wonderful day.. My mother told me it was better than going out for breakfast or getting flowers she enjoyed us crafting together and watching you. So thank you so much for sharing your talent and your wonderful personality we just love it. You make us giggle quite a bit. And I happen to say to my husband every single day after our prayer on his way to work laugh a little and giggle a lot. And that's what you do for us. So thank you.. looking forward to many more of your tutorials.. also we love it because you are step-by-step and don't assume that everybody just knows how to do it and skip a whole bunch of stuff. This is a GREAT IDEA! And I love the idea of a butterfly book for butterflies, people on a cover for the paper dolls, a travel book to stick ephemera in when I’m working on a project at someone else’s house etc. When I use that tape I put the end against anything nearby... glue bottle, scissors, whatever I’m not using, then fold the end over about 1/4” when I’m done so I can start it quickly. My 1st video of yours, and it’s so good I’m subscribing. Thank you!!

I always called these bits & bobs “crap”, didn’t know there was an elegant word for tossable yet useful bits & bobs. Found you via your thumbnail, it intrigued me & just had to go down this rabbit hole...and was well worth the time! I collected schoolbooks but they’re just sitting on the shelf gathering dust, not being used so this would be a great use for them!

This is really a cool idea that I haven’t seen! I’ve got a lot of old books that I can do this with. I’ve got mine in plastic sleeves for a binder, and they don’t fit in the binder. I’ve got them in a square steel vintage egg collecting box. It’s ok, but I really love your idea. Thanks so much! ❤

My ephemera needs a home, I've been watching a few videos to get ideas. I love the vintage look for the paper dolls. The accordion style is something I hadn't thought of, so I like that you can see a lot at once when choosing what to use. I really enjoy your humor and will need to watch more of your videos. I just found you, this is the third video I watch and I like them all!!! and it is so simple to make this Ephemera folder, you can take just cardstock and tape them together put the pocket in and you are finished.
So glad I found YOU ❣️❣️❣️❤️❤️ and yes ! This ephemera storage is easy enough so you can make big ones and small ones ... the sky is the limit ❣️❣️❣️😱

NO MEASURING! you've got my vote already! Lol - 13:37 "And God knows we need visual aids". I've got guys working on my roof, and all they can hear is me cackling away like a crazy person to myself, watching the struggle with the darned packing tape. A tiny bit of offcut quickly attached to the new edge saves your sanity. What's left of it. I'm saying that because my father used to say "the first sign of madness is someone tearing up paper" and here we all are!

Excellent idea! I have very little ephemera, but, a friend I introduced to mix media has oodles. As I like building/making things as appose to excessive decorating I feel a quick project coming on. I’ll do the basic build and let her decorate it, after all it will be her ephemera storage! Thanks for another lovely project. ultra cross - functional and strong.
I love the old book covers and the old green folders make it look very vintage.
I don’t think I’ll decorate my folders, just cover the card ephemera holders in a vintage paper too.
Can’t stop thinking about how much easier to find things and how amazingly uncluttered my whole space will be with a few of your wonderful folders. Thank you for your video.
