bella poarch reminds me so much of melanie martinez; childlike “lalalas” in the music and other lullaby/singsong aspects, emphasis on visual imagery and storytelling as an accompaniment to the music, covering serious and pressing topics in a bubblegum and catchy way (like sa and societal expectations for women with bella and literally so many topics like eating disorders, celebrity spotlights, and political commentary for melanie)
their music also sounds very similar (in a good way)
Important note: The lyrics relate to a SA experience Bella had before.
I think she's definitely staying on the safe side with her music for her first couple of songs. It's still a girl boss anthem tho.
This song sounds like it’s from Descendants or something. It just has that sound.
I should hope not consider its about SA 🧍♂️
@@Bee-lz6xe I didn’t mean like lyrically or anything or meanings behind the lyrics, just that the vocals and the overall style of the music had a little bit of a Disney channel sound.
This music video was so visually stimulating that I literally forgot there was music at one point.
Honestly her music is good imo. I just don’t wanna hear on tik tok every time I go on the app.
Honestly her musics not bad it’s not for me but I see why people like it
@thanks Umm?
Im not a fan of her but I enjoyed Inferno more than Build a B, but interested in what she makes in the future
I think modern day music is missing really good, high production value music videos like we had in the 2000’s. Definitely not my type of music but it’s amazing and a breath of fresh air to see a good music video that isn’t boring 🙏🏼🙏🏾
Yeah! I completely agree. I find the music itself a little too one note throughout the song- it doesn't hold my attention by itself. The video however is GORGEOUS, major props to Bella and her team for that
It's so humble James can be critical and at the same time supportive
Btw I'll be cool if he could react to other of Sub Urban's songs tbh
I'm proud of bella, she doesnt call out the SA in the song but leaves subtle hints to what she would have done if she could. I personally experienced a few SA in my life. Its scary. But I'm proud of her for making something so well done
James:I think steampunk is going back into fashion
Also James:I don't think Steampunk was in fashion anyway
Me: I love steampunk
James: This mv is insane!
Kpop: do we look like a joke to you
James is the only one of the eboys that survived the breakup sanely
bella pinned her comment on the music video, saying that 'Inferno' was about her experience with sexual assault and how she found it difficult to talk about her experience so she expressed herself with music. I really love that
4:27 nobody asked but,
when you get "butterflies in your stomach" its blood leaving your abdomen and moving to your LEGS so you can RUN FASTER
the flight of "fight or flight"
IT IS YOUR BODY TELLING YOU TO RUN AWAY
I feel like some artists kinda make all their music from their first album sound similar because that’s all they really know so far
I’ve never seen James so soft… and I like it
Okay but in my opinion this song is really good, her voice goes really well and it’s super catchy
One thing I love about her music is that she actually has a good voice, unlike people like Addison whos song is basically just autotune.
Don't need to lie Jimbo, this song slaps.
It’s a great song if this is your preferred genre
This was literally a spot on review of her music, honestly once you get really really big, u need to start a record label 🤩
Sub Urban just produces amazing music videos, I've never been let down by any of the music videos he's released
is it just me looking for dream now that hes done a face reveal
I’ve been waiting for this one…..TURN IT UPPP ✨
That was my exact thought bestie
james: "steampunk was never a trend"
me: have you ever heard of "ballad of mona lisa" or????
Tables have turned since she blew up on tiktok and everyone said she had no talent
“Is that TommyInnit?”
I have never laughed so hard omfg
I'm usually all for 💩ing on tiktokers, but bella's music is actually good
James Mariott: This sounds just like her other song
Him & Wake up: Aight ima head out
My bet is that Dream is the hands in the kitchen because everyone simps for his hands.
Thinking about it, James looks like the sort of person who doesn't go grey until they're 70 but instantly will have grey hair.
just btw James… this song is about her experience with sexual assault (: i haven’t finished the video but still
did she mention it in the song?
@@lvvqss I think she mentioned it in the description of the video
@@lvvqss i think she explains that it could be different interpretations but for her its abt her fantasy of how she wishes happened instead of her getting SAd
5:00 I love how he comments on the dudes getting ragdolled and zoomed on one of them
made me wheeze
me: **waiting for him to mention the blonde British kid**
blond British boyo, we love him
This song is about her experience with her drink being spiked in a bar and what happened in the song is something that she hoped what would happen like her getting powers to stop the men but reality is reality
Your music is good James can't wait for more
Me: can we have war robots
Mom we have war robots at home
War robots at home: 1:20
Gotta love Jimbo Mazza reacting to Bella new it wouldn't be the end of it 😂
HHAHAHAHHA THE WAY HE WENT "Bret-man Rock" AT 9:07
her new song is kinda good tbh
Ah yes, the elements: Fire, water (oil?), ice, and BEES
Ah yes, another video from Jimbo Mazza, I crave it
James is hilarious, and I do not see enough mention of him doing the bella poarch TikTok moves throughout the video, that's effort
A sponsor that isn’t a vpn or something!? Crazy.
James thirsting after Dream was not something I expected…
Oh shit yeah I forgot tommyinnit did this lmao
2:55 "ah, there she goes" I'M CRYING LMAO
Not sure if anyone has commented this already... but this video is Bella recreating a traumatic event in her life, in the video she is able to destroy the men who did this to her. It's quite poignant.
Bella shows so much promise as an artist, I think her ideas behind the music and videos are really interesting and it's obviously well made. But I totally agree with James, I wish she would focus more on that, especially strengthening her lyrics, instead of just trying to make songs that do well on tiktok.
Bella really needs more experience and try new things. I think she still needs to find herself as a musician and I am really looking forward to it. She is so talented and has so much potential so I am excited for her future career
james’ videos are just so comforting
