- Today I attempted to listen to Bella Poarch's first song ever: Build-A-Bear (except not that). The TikTok star known for her face zooms has now diverted her attention to music, and with great vocals, the expectations were high. Let's see if Bella Poarch can't actually sing.

I will say this about Bella, she’s the first tiktoker that I’ve seen that actually has a passion for music. She genuinely has a really good voice, autotune or not.
I like how she actually hit high notes in her song and didn't just serve us a generic flat pop song just to cop a bag
Your right! She has an awesome voice

It's ironic how a Tiktoker who got famous in one of the most low effort ways imaginable turns out to be more musically talented than every other mainstream Tiktoker. Good for her and I hope her music career goes far.

Lyn Lapid got famous in TikTok and her songs are great. I especially love her cover of Toy Story's "When She Loved Me" and her original song which is Producer Man that has deep meaning to its lyrics.
But the amusing thing about this is that, both Bella Poarch and Lyn Lapid are Filipinos - which proves popular producer's opinions from the west that Philippines are no joke when it comes to singers and music lol

Bella the Builder
I'm going to be honest here. This song has WAY more meaning than other tik tokers music. Think about it, Most other tik toker's I've seen have either made songs about being sad, or their heart being broken. (Forgot to add this- and being obsessed with themselves?) I legitimately like the meaning behind this one, plus it sounds good. She should've gotten famous for this, and not bobbing her head and making faces at a camera
If some ppl either love or hate u, ur spittin straight facts
Very true. Tik tokkers barely look into the meaning. And I have a long list of songs that should either be looked into before using or not used at all.
All you wanna do from SIX: The Musical is about Henry the IIIV's 5th wife Kathryn Howard and her experiences with men who just wanted her for her body. And people are using it to show of their boyfriends.
Gomenne Gomenne is a Vocaloid song that I've seen a few time as well and of often completely stripped of its meaning. It's literally about a girl being r4p3d by her father every day for Christ's sake.
And that's just a few. I have more. This is why I prefer to watching other tik toks rather than dance ones..
They are literally just like “I’m sad someone broke my hweart 👉🏻👈🏻”
yes, she has a very unique and beautiful voice but the thing is, there are a lot of great singers around the world with better vocal technique compared to her. She used to post covers on soundcloud, but then she didn't get famous for it. But she's smart. She used her overnight fame on Tiktok as her stepping stone to get ahead of others.
Her song is so catchy
It's been playing in my head until now and it gets a little annoying but a little good too, I can't explain
I downloaded the song and lowered the pitch like I do most songs and ot sounds wonderful.
I to have Mozart 1768 stuck in my head
She has a great voice and I feel like if she didn’t get famous for making faces on tiktok, people would probably like her songs more and not hate on her for being “Another tiktoker making music”
People hate her for something she had no control over. Some of her first videos was of her singing but no one payed attention to that.

Honestly this is the first song I’ve heard from a tik toker that doesn’t make me rip my hair out
Especially when it's not from a tiktoker at all its from Mozart
I personally don’t know why did Bella Poarch get famous but I have to say this is probably the best song i’ve heard from a tiktoker
Because her animated face movements are satisfying I guess. I admit I can't even do it but she makes it looks so effortless. She looks like someone straight out of a manga.
Well... she got famous because of haters if you think about it.
@Sandi Cabrera Well Charli got famous for basically stealing peoples dances. And just for dancing she is now going to have a hulu show. But, we don't hear anybody saying anything about that.
@Sarai Melendez Wdym. Who said I was bringing charli down or bringing hate to her. I'm just saying this from what I can see.
@Sarai Melendez I only said that because it's literally true. For instance, the renegade dance. People thought Charli made it but, the creator was Jalaiah Harmon. Even though they met and it was established Jalaiah Harmon made the dance. She still received like no credit. Like, Jalaiah Harmon had to go on the ellen show to claim whats rightfully hers. Basically stole a dance from a black creator and I didn't like that. I don't think she did it on purpose though, it's just the matter of people assuming things. If you check Jalaiah Harmon's tiktok you will literally see her videos have little likes and comments. Charli popularized on TikTok, while Jalaiah was left in the dust. She even tweeted about it. " mostly white TikTokers who have taken dances from me".
I feel like Sub Urban is seriously heavily influencing Bella and it’s honestly SO GOOD. Sub Urban is so cool and his vibe is so wacky, I’m glad that her and Urban became friends!

Edit: no bad intentions with this comment btw! Bella's song isn't bad at all, it was just an observation I noticed. Taking inspiration from other artists when you start out with music is fine, but I do hope Bella finds her own sound and develops her own style to avoid the "cOPycAt!!1!11" crowd. You're bound to have your songs be similar to someone elses, but this song does overlap a liiiittle too much into Melanie-territory imo and at first playback you could easily mistake it as a MM song. I dont know why some people think just because someone has tiktok means they are brainless, cringy, and untalented. I feel like tiktok gives a bad name for ACTUAL good talented people.
edit: obviously there is cringy people etc, im saying you can't assume everyone is like that. the assumptions are whats annoying. yes most of the content you see is trash but a lot isnt that bad, only the bad side is showing and people dont care about the good. yes i have tiktok, litterally all i see if definitely not bad.
I mean can you really blame them? Tik tok is basically mostly visual arts, meaning, all you need to do to succeed, is to look appealing. And when people are only judged by their looks, no one is going to expect them to actually create something exceptional. Tik tok even has a function that puts only attractive people on the for you page, so... not alot of deserved artists are going to get recognition.
I think its cause a lot of Social Media influencers who become popular are popular for no reason with no noticeable talent. Also usually when they put out music or anything outside of social media it tends to be terrible.
brainless - People doing stupid challenges that can hurt them or other people for views
cringey - doing things that if done in real life look absolutely panful in their eyes
untalented - doing some random easy dance steps and just relying on their following and looks for attention.
It IS a bad name for alot of people because most of it is just a cesspool of young people doing stupid things, unlike vines where people were creative and made funny videos which sometimes needed alot of work to place in.
It's cause everyone think tik tokers r addison rae
“How do you know she is Asian tho? She might be Korean” - Addison Rae.... I think we have plenty of reasons to assume that tiktok creators are brainless, I’m sorry 💀✋🏻

She's signed to Warner
Honestly it's a typical pop song clearly see the credits n producer n writers you'll realise it's a marketing move to pick bella
It doesn't feel like her song ngl
@@DevSingh-lb3zv just because people helped her with making this mv, doesn't mean she isn't talented. Her job is to sing, wether she writes the lyrics or not doesn't matter matter much.
@@DevSingh-lb3zv oh waw nice strategy, there are better singers than bella :((((

coming from someone who despises tiktok and tiktokers, I gotta say Bella Poarch really has some talent in singing. Her lyrics are literally the only one among all the tiktokers' songs that is relevant because it talks about women empowerment. Not to mention she literally had some military training and its kinda cool ngl. The views on her music are well-deserved because they did some serious budgeting on it.
think the lyrics are like that cause salem ilese helped in writing it
Why is military training cool?
@@tiki_riot if your gonna hate leave
@@tiki_riot women are usually looked up upon when in the military because they get quite some discrimination and possible sexual harassment from males in said military group
holy shit the thought of Bella in military training is baffling
JAMES 😭😭😭 Please your jokes get better every video. Like how 😭😭♥️?!
00:53 that was rather good my friend
Ok but she actually ate it up omg i wasn't expecting this

Fun fact: She wanted to be a singer before tiktok ^^
I have to say, I'm loving James' even-handed reviews rather than just straight criticism and roasting. Actually learning about music theory
agreed
Yes! I find that I can't watch the more vitriolic critiques you find on UA-cam. I appreciate people focusing on the art. Unless a person has done something actually heinous 🤷 I don't understand the hate this girl gets. If I was suddenly famous for a cute face, you bet your ass I would take advantage of that and use it to further my actual passions!!
Lol 😂 didn’t expect ZHC there in the start !
lmaoo larray and james the tumble dee and dumble dore lmaooo
thank you for analysing the song rather than blindly roasting it just because it was made by an influencer.
I’m so glad that Sub Urban was the creative director. EXACTLY his vibe and production quality and it really payed off.
