Another excellent video. Thanks for the insights. Would love to see a video and your insights about converting spray heads over to the Hunter MP Rotator

Hi, love your videos, i have few questions, would really appreciate if you would have time to answer, i wanted to make irrigation system from a 5 gallon barrel to 3 different plants i have 1/4 inch hose coming out of it and then it splits in 3 different hoses (1/4 inch) that have little holes at the end. And now i don't know how to reduce water coming out bcs its suppose to be 0.5 gallon/day, and its dripping like 0.5 gallon/h. Each hose is 40 inches long, height of the barrel is 20 inches and bottom of a barrel is at the same level as the soil in pots. How do i achieve this? Do i need to lower barrel or take smaller hoses? Sry about bad english its not my native language, thank you!

Hi Janko, thanks for watching and commenting! To slow down or regulate the amount of water coming out, you may need to put some kind of timer on the system to only let water out for a period of time. You could also put drip emitters on the end of the 1/4 inch tubes. the smallest emitter is rated at .5 gallon per hour, but that's with pressure. the amount of pressure made by water in a 5 gallon is only around 2 psi. So the water coming out may slow down considerably. Lowering the barrel will probably help some. I hope that helps, good luck.
