Bro Bol Bol has always been this good OFFENSIVELY. The problem with him is defensively. He gets lost in simple sets, loses his assignment, and doesn't like contact. That's the problem.
Suns are playing him at the 4 as the weakside help defender in the small ball lineups with KD at the 5. In the minutes where KD and Bol Bol share the floor, the Suns have a defensive rating of 98, 10 points better than the league's best defense. I would argue the bigger issue is his offense. Can he play an off ball role on a winning team, or is he one of the guys that needs the ball in his hands but isn't quite good enough to justify it?
I am old enough to remember Manute, his dad. I loved the narrative that he was best defensive player. He disrupted the other teams offense, while also disrupting his own teams offense.
Bol plays goood with Durant and Beal. You can tell that they believe in him. I hope he plays consistently with Beal and Durant in that 2nd Unit once Book goes out. Plus Suns need his length because they’re a small team.
Bol is a raw talent. He is not polished so to expect him to just got out and make minimal mistakes is a pipe dream.. the suns are doing one thing right, that is playing him at the 3 or 4...bol has always had flashes like this...two things have to happen...bol has to get ganranteed 25 mins per game 2nd he has to work tirelessly on his game...
I think you're missing the big picture, friend. Bol has a history of feet issues, like his Father, like most players with his frame. I'm fairly certain Vogal's carefully, cautiously, trying to integrate Bol into the mix without potentially wearing out the big man's feet. They likely have a minutes and games played consecutively restriction based on athletic trainers suggestions to avoid any injuries prior to the postseason. I think now though, with 20+ games left, and the Suns needing wins, we're going to see Vogal taking more chances putting Bol in the regular rotation. Look for that. If I'm wrong then we should be able to observe this going forward.

I just can’t believe the majority of people slept on him. He’s just playing the same way he played in college. As a young baller of course he would have to make some adjusted to get used to the NBA. The amount of output that you get from players is completely CONTRACTUAL. With that being said you can’t compare Bol to Wemby because they are on completely incomparable contracts. Bol hasn’t had a shot at a decent contract because of the injury that got him drafted low. In nba contracts they tell you how many shots you can have per game.
