Mazda really knows design and driving dynamics love it
Try the cx-60 and then say that, it handles badly and is really crashy and drifts all over
@@craigyjp It could be bouncy because its new. I drove a brand new one and it was crashy, then i drove another with a bit more kilometers on the clock and it was settled.
Beautiful, reliable, luxury.what not to like it's perfect suv😍
No, Cheaper more space and better is an Tourismo .
If they've fixed the ride over the CX-60, IMO they're on to a winner.
I think this has better proportions than the CX-90. The 90 is large but you don't get that much passenger or cargo volume. I would have liked this instead of the 70 for the US market with the option to delete the 3rd row.
Nice car, better than CX60. Very smart interior, as good as the German manufacturers. This fellow is so professional also.
Better than cx60?... Guess u have driven it
Cx-60 is a terrible car, I can't see this being any better as it's based on the same technology
Good luck opening those massive doors fully in a UK car park!
Having owned 3 Mazda 6s I can say they were the most beautiful cars. This brick flysheet in the face of elegance. Oh dear what has happened to car styling. 😮
Great to see you on Task Master!
I really don't understand why Mazda made a cx60 cx80 cx70 and cx90. So much development costs when there is so little difference in size. I think they could have spent more money on engineering a slightly better product.
The cx70 and cx-90 are one size larger than this car and too big for Japan and Europe. 70 and 90 have the same body size, just different 2-row and 3-row versions.
On the other hand, 60 and 80 are different in overall length.
@panchert5732 I know what they are I just don't see the point of producing so many vehicles that are so similar in size.
@@MW-uh1xv i think the 70, being the outlier, but they are made for the american market, this 60 and 80 are made for the european market, the differences will lie on the various markets and their availability. But almost all of them look the same, it's just that the 60 and 70 are more "sporty" looking while the 80 and 90 are more elegant looking.
They did it because they felt like it
isofix points?
Their new design is so lovely, premium equipment and package. Nice car
This car is longer than the Peugeot 5008 and SKODA Kodiak, so the third row has the most decent seats. However, the body size is large.
Long haul, large capacity. Like an Airbus A380 of the road.
Beautiful
The white beautiful interior is just great for kids and toddlers.
Yes, just like saying the opposite of what you mean is great for sarcasm and irony
How is this car compared to a Volvo XC90? I think they didn't want Europe to have the same confused CX90 vs XC90 battle as in the US variants... I understand the US CX90 is a bit bigger than the EU CX80.
So is this basically the cx60 with a 3rd row slapped on? Like how they just removed the 3rd row in the cx70 based on the cx90?
197" long, cx60 187", same width, longer wheelbase
No, as Doug said, the CX-80 is 25cm longer overall than the CX-60.
The CX-70 and CX-90 are identical on the outside but the 90 has a third row of seats.
so basically it’s Mazda doing a Peugeot by making the 5008, less than 10 inches longer than the 3008
This is honestly a waste of resources they should have used on making new generations of the Mazda 2/6 and mx5. I think Europe would love the cx90 and the Americans are begging, thirsting and are desperate for the cx60 based on reddit. The 70 and the 80 are the most unwanted vehicles mazda has made. They could have also used that money for adaptive dampers on the cx60/90 with that zoom zoom stiff ride Nürburgring ready suspension on a premium family suv.
Looks nice
this should’ve been the cx70 without the 3rd row
Agreed.
Looks great
The disabled touch screen sucks and its more dangerous/distracting to try and navigate with the dial than touch.
Looks impressive but I hope Mazda will also focus on cheaper models in the range too, going forward.
Not gonna happen, Mazda, wants to go premium, as many of the Chinese brands that are making their way over, will occupy that space, like MG has
Im not a fan of trhe dial on the info system. I got it on my cx-30 and it's very inconvenient. especially trying to use the gps.
I have a CX-5 and I like the dial to use the screen. But it is true that for GPS (I use Google Maps in Apple CarPlay) it's quite annoying to use. Only when I'm stopped at a traffic light I can use it by touching the screen. That makes me not want to use the screen or be aware of it all the time, as happens to me with other cars. Which I believe is the purpose of that system.
I think it should be tactile all the time and the driver could choose what he wants to use.
Love it!
Isn't it the same as yhe cx90?
it is narrower, to suite Europe roads.
I have a CX60, and its a great car. You're always gonna have issues, when you launch something completely new, amd trust me, ive worked with Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Ford, and Mazda are by far and away the most reliable brand, if not the most exciting
Nice vehicle...
Should be larger though.
Unless phev is more refined now, phev is awful option for comfort driving
No isofix in 3rd row!
Its very nice suv😊
nice wish it came in 2 row
Just leave the 3rd row folded down.
Buy a CX60, that's the 2 row version
@@jameswhiteside8696 not rear wheel drive the new CX70 is going to be rear wheel drive mid size
Unnecessarily huge and dire electric range for a new PHEV.
Like Harry Metcalfe, just go with the diesel.
cx 80 is too small, and not as nice as cx90。 I know somebody will say europe or japan need thin size car fo parking, but if I buy a such small car, why I by mazda? In car size of cx 90 vs bmw x7, mazda has opportunity and nice appearance and advantage and in price, but in smaller car, mazda has more less opportunity.
Why do you want to compare an X5 "rival" to the X7?
It is really nice. I rather buy Kia carnival for practicality.
Im confused cx60,cx90 now this what the difference
CX-90 is a bigger car, considered too wide for UK roads.
Is that interior child proof?
That car is hot ❤ wow
Great! Bigger and wider opening rear doors, so more dents for the rest of us in car parks. 🙄🙄🙄
will it have the usualyy faulty diesel engine that only lasts about 130,000 km life before it needs replacing?
How would you know? The diesel is a completely new design that has only been out about a year. It's a 3.3L straight six. Mazda's inline four diesel that has a poor reputation is not offered.
There are head gasket and failures already on this brand new 6 in line. It's not as good as they'd have you believe.
@@matthewwebb8206 Thank you. I was unaware that this engine already had known issues. Hopefully they quickly resolve the issues.
@@matthewwebb8206 really? Do you have experience or just the rival's rumours? :)
Do you get the CX-90 in the UK?
Why do you keep saying “Sat”? It’s “Sitting” for present tense. “Sat” is past tense. I sat in the rear seat. I am sitting in the rear seat. I will sit in the rear seat.
You don’t say I’m sat in the rear seat. You could say I’ve sat in the rear seat (I have sat), but not I am sat.
In colloquial British English, I am sat is okay, as opposed to I am seated in formal English.
And, no, we don't get the 90 in the UK.
When an American tries to correct the English on their language 😂
Yours is a simplified version.
@@Guvb235 Who is the American?
@@nigel.w We have the CX-90 here in Australia (I’m a New Zealander) but I don’t think we have the CX-80 (as yet anyway). It’s likely one or the other I imagine.
Seated or sitting is correct. Sat is past tense and isn’t valid. You can’t be “sat” anywhere.
2 isofix means this is not a true 7 seater but a 5+2. Stop calling it a seven seater
Trouble is you can't get this or a Cx60 in petrol in the UK ik it probably wont be the biggest seller but i want that petrol option
It has a petrol engine.
@jerrymyahzcat It's a plug in hybrid
So don't plug it in....
@@columcreaven8860 that's bloody stupid
So move to America then.....
view car out side not inside
Airport transfer car, that's all I see.
This should have come to NA not that bloated CX90 with 3rd row removed called the CX70
I'm getting really weary of paid-puffery masquerading as product experts who bang on endlessly about how much saffffeeerrrr Mazda's hands-off the screen rotary dial controller is to use as opposed the "competitor' touch screen set-ups. I'll defy anyone to drive along playing the roulette wheel of distraction with one eye trying to pick out your choice of app or music on Apple car play and your other on the road in front. Worst bit of design thinking i've ever seen... and if it doesn't change, my CX5 will be my last Mazda.
The CX70 is a mistake for the american market. Mazda should have brought this instead and make it a two row.
This looks exactly the same as my cx90, which is the exact same as the cx70 minus the third row.
Cx90 looks nicer
Shut up 😍😍
Far too big for UK roads. Skoda seems a bargain compared to this.
A typical socer mummy's car
51k 😂 for a Mazda
A bit like the Dacia Jogger.
Hmm I think I would go with the recently unveiled facelift Kia Sorento
What an ugly, massive thing. Looks like a brick on wheels.
It's a rav 4 with Mazda badge
Ooohhh no, not another rushed to market Mazda mistake. The CX60 is an absolute joke. Suspension, steering and drive train issues.
which type would you recommend instead of Mazda CX80, from 7 seaters?
Great, another jumbo sized SUV, just what the world needs🙄
You would have thought they could have made the dimensions a little bigger so it won't fit in car park spacesx😂🎉
World doesn't need EVs as well...
Well I think a family of 7 may have a different opinion
Ehh it's fine ppl have massive families so it's got good space, it's luxury and it's good looking
The world, you just live in it... u don't own it
trash
If it's based on the cx-60 technology then steer clear of this pile of junk, I have a top of the range cx-60 and it's a pile of junk, so much broken technology in the 60, I noticed on a recent trip that it can't read speed limits correctly in Europe, 90 is read as 80, 50 or 30 randomly, it also can't read 130 limits. My driver recognition system still doesn't work despite upgrades. The radio stopped working 3 times on my current road trip, no sound but everything thing else works, navigation etc. Seats are not comfortable on long journeys I've found out the hard way, something you cannot find on a test drive. I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of my Mazda, after a great cx-5, this car is a big disappointment.
