Great job, Mark! Incredible dive watch. The engineering behind the Ressence Type 5 is truly mind-blowing, from the oil-filled dial that enhances underwater readability to the clever magnetic gear system. It's amazing to see a brand push the boundaries of traditional watchmaking with such innovative and beautiful designs. Definitely a masterpiece worth checking out! Javier
Magnets, oil, temperature concerns. Sounds like a perfect recipe of how not to build a watch, and yet it works so well in such a unique and still functional piece. Learn something with every video!
I wouldn't call a 2824 a "workhorse" movement... it's also not the most common movement in the world. That would likely fall on the NH34 or one of the 8 series Miyotas, given the volume of these movements made by Seiko and Citizen.
The type 3 is a grail. Love the unique design
Great Video. I hope one day Ressance makes a smaller watches.

Didn't even realize this was a dive watch at first, interesting mechanism and watch in general. The un-dive watch
The dive watch function almost sneaks up on you
The AWS continues to explode onto the scene. ❤
They’re definitely unique pieces. They’re incredibly cool to see and wear in person.
Excellent video as always. Not my cup of tea but I do respect what the brand has accomplished
Wow, there was more to Ressence watches than i thought… more complicated and engineered than meets the eye!
They are crazy complicated and look good doing it
Fantastic video and really cool watch
Glad you enjoyed it
I have always wanted one of these Ressence watches
Cool to see a different take on the dive watch
Best Ressence Type 5L Review I’ve seen yet. I have and love this watch. The other great thing is you can see the time from almost any angle.
Hey how long does the Lume last in darkness once it’s charged up? Keen to get one but wanna know how long the lume lasts.
Incredible job talking through the design elements of such a special watch. Nice work, Mark!
Thanks, Mark, for explaining Ressence’s unique design and construction in an easy to understand way 😃.
Mark! Fantastic video about a really interesting watch. I appreciated the deep dive (see what I did there?) into the geekery.
Glad you enjoyed it!
“I apologize for that one immediately.” 😂
This is a bit of a grail watch designed by someone NOT encumbered by classic watchmaking rules. I love it. Nice coverage of this Mark. ❤
Well said!

saying the 2824 isn't a workhorse movement is certainly a hot take, I should have clarified it is the most common Swiss movement
