The Watch Society
United States
Приєднався 25 бер 2024
The Watch Society started in Atlanta by a couple of watch enthusiasts getting together to share their love of all things horological. In the past few years it has grown to include chapters across the country. Our UA-cam page is a place where we can share thoughts on watches, videos of our events, interviews with brand representatives, and stories from collectors. Mark Hackman from Crown and Caliber and Hodinkee is the main host with different members of the community stepping in from time to time.
The Watch I Wore Most 2024 From Members of The Watch Society
It is hard to pick just one watch to look back on and select as the one we connected with the most throughout the year and ended up on our wrist more than any others. Nearly 30 members of The Watch Society from around the world let us know what that watch was for them in 2024.
Their selections have some of the greatest hits from Rolex, Omega, IWC, Cartier, and Tudor but also include an unusual piece uniques from Ketelaars and Christopher Ward, hard to find Audemars Piguets, and some great selection of independents from Doxa and Farer to H. Moser and Berneron.
Everyone that chose to be a part of this is a true watch collector and a member of of The Watch Society.
We hope you had a great 2024 and an even better 2025.

Audemars Piguet Code 11:59 Star Wheel Review
Переглядів 1,2 тис.14 днів тому
The Code 11:59 has certainly not been the most popular platform in Audemars Piguet's history when it was launched in 2019 but with the introduction of the star wheel complication the platform might finally have found a winning combination. AP is known more for the Royal Oak line that has dominated its lineup since the 1970's to the point that many call them a one watch brand. In Mark's review h...
Ming Minimalist 37.02 Review

Horologer Ming has been around for less than a decade, and in that short time they have already fleshed out an entire distinct design language that sets them apart from most of the newer brands in the market. The new Ming Minimalist 37.02 shows that when you strip down a watch to its bare essentials the essence of a brand will shine through. This is the first Ming produced in their new La Chaux...
How does a 1960s 1675 Rolex GMT compare to the new 126710 Bruce Wayne
Переглядів 2,5 тис.28 днів тому
These two watches were made six decades apart yet it is still obviously they are part of the same lineage. In this video Mark takes a look at what has changed, what has stayed the same, and how has the march of time slowly impacted the change in these two watches. Many will prefer the old-school cool of the 1675 while others want the modern convenience that comes with the 126710. Which do you p...

Most professional diving techniques were developed by Comex, a company founded and run by Henri-Germain Delauze. This diving pioneer also helped Rolex develop their professional dive watches in the Sea-Dweller, a watch that goes well beyond what the Submariner was ever meant to do. This partnership with Rolex is most famously shown in the watches labeled with both companies names on the dials. ...

The Ressence Type 5 is a dive watch that looks like no other
Переглядів 545Місяць тому
When Ressence first came on the market their watches stood out for having rotating disks instead of traditional hands. As time went on they brought oil filled watches with a unique ROCs system that used magnets to keep the oil filled part of the watch separate from the gear train. With the Type 5 Ressence brought this system to a dive watch that is like no other, one that doesn't look like a co...

Bovet is one of the true rare craftsman in the watch industry. They have engravers, enamelers, and artists working alongside the watchmakers in order to create incredible timepieces that few others could produce. To go with these artisans Bovet also makes nearly every component of the 1,00 watches they make each year under their own roof, including the technically challenging hairspring. This a...

Checking in from the Pacific Northwest…Tudor Pelagos LHD and the Vaer Miyota-powered black-and-blue bezel GMT.
The berneron was sooooo good
Nicely done. You've earned my sub!
Much appreciated 🙏
Enjoyed the video - thanks for putting the content together! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
great video!!
Great video, I love Ming ❤
beautiful video! dope to see so many people i know on the youtube!
Hope you are part of it next year
Cool video! SMP 300M in blue for me, worn for 12 months straight!
That is a modern classic, thank you for watching
Great group of folks, and every watch is absolutely amazing! My most worn is either my Navitimer B01 43mm, or Zenith Chronomaster Sport. Happy 2025 all!
Both great chronographs with fantastic movements!
Glad to see a down to earth 79220R and 16622.
Wow! Some seriously expensive/rare/unique watches here. Good to see them to show the wider world of watches. I couldn’t tell you which of my (only) 4 watches I wore this year as I try to cycle through them every 1-2 weeks. I must be more careful to track which one I wear each day so I can comment properly next year!
It is hard to keep track of what watch was worn the most, I think if you are wearing what you own then you are properly enjoying the hobby. Happy new year.
Well done AWS! Great to see everyone talk about these special pieces
Glad to be a part of this video, and of this great group of people!
Longines doesn't have models like the Seamaster or Speedmaster. When it comes to product placement, Hamilton gets more love. Longines can definitely do the Horology. They just can't overtake the last 50 years of marketing.
Enjoyed the video and seeing the great variety of watches that makes this hobby so fun. For me the most worn was probably my Tudor Pelagos LHD. I don't keep track but this one is the watch of choice for just doing things around the house, working out, washing cars, etc. It's a tool watch that gets used as a tool. Love it.
As the pink Tudor was my choice this year I have to say that is a great choice for a watch that can go with you everywhere during the year. Thank you for watching.
Great job showcasing this watch! I agree-Code 11:59 is where AP should really be flexing. I love the Star Wheel.
This is the only 1159 that interests me rather than turn me off.
Great video!!
🔥💪🏿
💪🏿
The mosers 👌
Yeah they are pretty 🔥
Fun to see lots of folks I know! Great video Mark et al! Looking forward to TWS/AWS in 2025!!
Much appreciated
Super fun video!
Thank you for being part of it, with a watch I want in my own collection
What the heck is this? Some rip-off of Teddy's video but with unsuccessful youtubers that no one has ever heard of?
Sorry you feel that way, this is inspired from Hodinkee"s Watch I Wore most that pre-dates Teddy by many years and I was a part of before Teddy did his. This UA-cam page is an extension of our watch community that has world wide membership and we thought it would be fun to put a video together like the one Hodinkee used to do with some of our members.
@TheWatchSociety I just really didn't like it. Teddy's was such high quality
Wow, did you bark up the wrong tree.
@@wifeyloveswatches I'm allowed to give my opinion. This was tough to watch
I liked the video. Very authentic.
This was beautiful to see everyone’s what watch you wore the most this year! Thank you Mark and David for letting me be part of this amazing project! Happy new year everyone!!🎉 Much love and appreciation!!🙏🏾✌🏾
Thank you for participating
Gold Cartier Santos…heart skipped a beat.
Good way to start a video
Really enjoyed the video! Thank you for putting together Mark!
My pleasure!
This turned out great, was fun seeing what everybody selected!
Great job with the information and how you present the watch. I am planning to buy a watch in January. and I was checking the ML mp7228-ss001-000-1 or the ML mp6538-ss001-110-1 ( another option is the TagHeuer AquaRacer wbp5115-ba0013) what do you recommend?
Those are three very different watches, the ML skeleton would be my recommendation if you like the look of a skeleton. The triple retrograde is cool, if you think it is a bit big on you check out the Longines Master collection retrograde as well. I am not the biggest fan of the aquaracer line, but I. Not a big dive watch guy, I prefer the look of an Oris diver 65 or Aquis
What a fun way to end the AWS year! Thanks to Mark and David for making this video happen 😃.
Don't tell anyone else, but your watch was my favorite!
@@FOB2009🙏
@@athensseven this is BK btw- great to see the watch in person (I think at the 104 class)
Thank you for participating and being a long time member of this great group
@@TheWatchSocietyit is a pleasure and a privilege 😃
Great seeing everyone’s choices. Thank you for putting this all together!
Thank you for participating with that beautiful piece unique
GC really loves his hats, and awesome video too, rad seeing everyone's most worn watches of the year.
Love seeing everyone’s 2024 watch. What a great global group!
Thank you for another great video Mark. Also Anthony you are 100 percent right the Rolex Yachtmaster 40mm is truly an underrated watch. I love wearing my blue dial version.
Awesome video, great people & watches!
We agree!
Very nice selection guys
Thank you kindly
Thanks everyone for sharing your most worn watch! fun to be part of this, thanks Mark!
Thank you for being part of this
Fun to watch and be part of
Thanks for doing this Mark, nice to see all of the variety in the society!
Lets goo!!
Happy new year everyone!! 🍾
Great Video! Thanks The Watch Society!
Our pleasure!
🎉🎉🎉
Wow you even dressed to match the Watch
I did not do that on purpose this time, I did on the Tudor Pink Chronograph review
If I had one AP that would be the one for sure. Great review!
The Bel Canto Act II has the Roman numerals & guilloche dial.
Those were nice additions, I think the Roman numerals work best
Wow! Awesome video and great info about the 11:59!
Certainly one of the most interesting AP offerings. Thanks for sharing.
✨✨
Mark, another great review! Really appreciated you letting me be part of the channel and share the goodness that is the Code Starwheel 💫 I agree, best in class from AP at the moment. Here’s to hoping the folks in Le Brassus it around and expand into other metals/dial specs
Thank you James for letting me spend some time with this bad boy, it is a special piece
