- Mark takes a look at the Lange 1, a watch that was part of the 1994 relaunch of A. Lange & Sohne. This was the watch that immediately put Lange back on the map and has become their flagship model.

An excellent combination review and history. “Iconic” is an overused word in the watch world, but the Lange 1 richly deserves the appellation. Thanks for recognizing Günter Blümlein, who was a titan of the 20th Century watch industry, as well as Reinhard Meis, who was responsible for most of the early ALS designs. These two men were pivotal in making A. Lange & Sohne the company it is today.

This brand is what it is thanks to Gunther blumlein in the modern era. Pre richemont Lange is probably my favorite Lange era.

They brought the large date complication to the world as far as I know. Please correct me if I am wrong (I often am). Now I see this wonderful complication as a requirement with my old eyes. Cheers ! Great Video ! I subscribed !
@@Baruch-Hashem the Big Date originated in the 1930s but it was never as popular as it is now and the Lange 1 definitely has alot to do with it. Glashutte Original, Blancpain, and Breitling started to use it after it came out. Thank you for the follow and hope to bring you some good content. Cheers!
