My mom was from Oklahoma. She made her fried pies with biscuits that she rolled out they are. Delicious she made dried apricots that she cooked so good ...and also made fresh blackberries and cream cheese fried pies
You two are such genuinely nice people that it is a joy to watch you even tho I don't cook. A good shot of at least one of your cats would elevate this video to star status. Thanks for brightening my day.
Hmm, I thought fry pies originated with the Amish. Shows what I know! LOLOLOLOL! But before my daughter moved to Florida, she used to make fry pies to sell at the local livestock auction! They were a big hit! I don’t know if she still makes fry pies or not. She now specializes in decorative cookies and sweet breads like pumpkin bread. I sure miss her sweet treats since she moved away! 😢
My father's mother came from Virginia & always believed they claim Fried Pies. Everyone raved about her wonderful Fried Pies. Unfortunately I never had them. My mother could make very good pie crust but when Pillsbury came out with All Ready Crusts she never turned back. She said why would you when pie crust is that easy & good? She received compliments & even recipe requests.
The donut shop in Cleveland, Ok. makes great fried meat pies!! I even made them once and it was pretty close. So, a little bit of hamburger meat, some smoked sausage and I think I used some tomatoes and green chiles minus the juice. Or at least some of the juice. As for seasonings I used garlic powder, onion powder and either Cayenne or Paprika. There may have been something else but that right there will get a good meat pie!!! Of course some people just used ground beef seasoned. that's good too!! And you could add some cheese if you like to the ground beef one.
Hi l just found you today!!! What is the name of the store you did your stock up 2 weeks ago. I want to shop there!!! I wonder if l could shop online?! I am in Michigan. Where are you??? I'm glad to find you😊

Thank you!! I feel like they should be in every video but William isn’t sure they belong in recipe videos. 😂🤷♀️
They look delicious! I would be tempted to put them in a bowl, though - so I could put some ice cream on top!
That sounds perfect!
Thank you for sharing. They look delicious. Love the cinnamon sugar idea, especially with the apple. God Bless ❤😂🎉. Will make some😊😅

We are in Wisconsin and the store was Woodmans. Welcome!!
What did you do for Kansas???
I did “pepper nuts” or pfeffernusse cookies.
I bet Mr. Guilkey is really upset about this cooking adventure! 😉
