I am curious to see what happens at the dealerships. This stuff seems to be done at the corporate office. There does seem to be a backlash starting online now.
As a guy at a dealership, I’d hate to hear that because we’d be in agreement. I never did any DEI training. We’re all men where I work. I think if you all look closer, no one was at that “party” they held at corporate. It’s a publicly traded company and unfortunately Blackrock is in there. Blackrock is doing a good job at destroying the moral fabric of society. I love my Harley. …The way it looks and sounds and none of that is indicative that I or anyone I know supports grooming.
That is the crappy thing, corporate would do it and the dealerships would have to bear the brunt of a lot of the criticism as they are customer facing. I love my bikes as much as you do it seems. Ride safe!
Instead of just not supporting HD anymore… make them hear your voice!!! The flipping government and banks (government) is MAKING companies do this crap for their dang ESG score. Tell them to stop it.
I have been dealing with oil leaks from my bike which spilled out on my friends new tiles and a lot of break downs which have destroyed entire trips, due to rear wheel bearing failure, electronic failure, poor shaking brakes and motor vibrations and last I lost my leather bags as they detached from the bike on a busy road. I have allways love the bike anyway and defended the design and the flaws. But now I have had enough with this left wing political agenda harley tries to force down in the throat of the employees and customers. I have decided to part ways with my harleys, as I no longer find joy in riding the bikes when I am being laughed at like a cuck.
Man, all that happened and you still stuck it out...sounds like something I would do. I do love my bikes, don't think I can just get rid of them like that. I may forgo new shirts for a bit
Best choice is to just stop buying new bikes and merch from Harley. Ride used bikes, buy aftermarket parts, buy merch online (heck Harley and their merch is still made in china, so just stick to that, which doesn't send money to the company now). An older bike isn't responsible for that their dealership is creating... just enjoy what you got
I'll keep the bike i have but won't buy another. I think we need to send a clear message everyone should not even go to a harley shop till they drop the nonsense. I still don't understand why harley has someone running the company that's from another country he doesn't have the same value like us American
Sometimes having someone come in from an outside perspective is a good thing. I realized this might not be the guy when he said he wanted to make harley a luxury brand. I mean Harleys aren't cheap but they've never been a luxury brand.
This ain’t a woke thing. HD has a real problem where the younger generation doesn’t care about their bikes at all because they think of it as a “boomer” type of bike….. and they aren’t wrong. On top of that why would you a 30-20 year old newish rider buy a Harley when you can get the same style bike that’s cheaper and way more reliable? You go to a Harley dealership and see their bikes are way out of your price range but the Honda dealer down the road has a used rebel for 1/4th of the price. They’ve realized they need to change but it’s too late and when they do appeal to the younger generation or women the die hards hate it and see it as “Harley’s gone woke!” Meanwhile their die hards are getting older to the point where their best selling bike isn’t even a bike, it’s a tricycle. but hey at least they’ve stayed true to their calling despite the sales numbers plummeting.
It's hard to argue with that. I'm of the vintage where I wanted a harley and nothing but a harley, but I could see not wanting to or being able to afford a harley. The only thing with those other bikes for me is that they don't give me the same joy of riding. They may be a better bike, but don't feel the same. I've tested out Harleys new bikes (nightster, sportster S and Pan Am) extremely fun, great riding bikes and I'd want to own one of them, but only as maybe a 3rd bike (which my wife may have something to say about that). I guess I'm the hybrid harley rider though, I like the new stuff but prefer the old...which would be another problem for harley.
You obviously haven't watched the videos he's talking about have you? Being in support of child sex changes, and open bathrooms for a tranny to follow your daughter in, has nothing to do with sales.
But it is a woke thing if you look at what they are putting their profits into. I see what you’re saying about prices and keeping up with younger gen’s but this is not how you do it. Sending money to drag and LGBTQ programs and events, the trainings they are putting there employees through 😔 and promoting child sex changes and supporting efforts and companiesthat are corrupt like Black Lives Matter has nothing to do with motorcycles and keeping the brand alive it’s picking a side and the wrong side matter of fact-consumer basis is not going to be this way. Focus on motorcycles. Stop the corruption

@mattdonna9677 I've heard that alot about the culture being a turn off. I'm new to riding (3 years) and I still find it intimidating getting around a big group of riders. First thing everybody needs to know that CEO gets $44 million a year and he’s running the company into the ground. I would be willing to work for the Harley Davidson corporation free for two years and I can turn that company around and make it $100 billion company and I know just how to do it too. It’ll take two years And I’ll work for free. Just pay my expenses and after two years just pay me $3 million a year. That’s what a CEO should be making and making that $44 million my God that’s ridiculous and all this shit that’ll go away too honestly if Harley Davidson doesn’t do what’s right I want to see them go down. I want to see the Japanese buyout Harley, Davison and that’s who’s gonna get them and you know what they’ll make a better bike and it’ll cost a small amount of money.
A Japanese buy out at this point wouldn't be the worst thing to happen. I can never understand why they can't cater to the old customer base while bringing out new bikes to attract new riders? I mean I like the nightster but a new rider doesn't want to shell out that much.
Would you fly on a plane if the airline announced DEI was their primary criteria for the pilots on that flight? I don't give a crap if the flight crew all have penises, wear dresses, pee in the wrong bathroom, have purple skin, etc. I want the flight crew to be the best at flying a plane. DEI is modern racism and sexism. That's all it boils down to. Why would I buy a $35k bike and go 80mph down the highway entrusting my life and others to the build quality from a corporation that doesn't focus on having the most qualified people designing and building bikes? It is an insane concept.
I have a small amount of stock in HDMC and I'm not happy about any "going woke" crap. So I show my disagreement by my how I vote my shares. Hopefully other stock holders will do that also. EVs are so popular that Ford has cut down their production of their EV Pickups. Will I quit riding my Harley no, but I have no plans to buy a new one anytime soon!
Aston Martin has shelved their EVs that were due out next year. Lawrence Stroll said everything is ready, except the demand. And judging from electric bikes now, it may be even longer for them.
I will never buy another new one again. I’ve been on HD for 45 years. I still have a 06 Eglide that I bought new. I also have a Victory Vision and a trusty ole KLR 650. I’d buy a new Kawasaki before I’d buy a new HD.
They do have a couple of bikes I think do appeal to the younger generation (nightster, sportster S). However, I think they are just priced way higher than their competitors to be an option.
I love American made products. Unfortunately Harley Davidson stopped loving American consumers a long, long time ago. I'd love to own an American made motorcycle. Perhaps an Indian, or even better yet, an EBR Hammer Head (if I could afford it). For now, I'm totally satisfied with my Triumph. Fuck HD!!! They are openly promoting policies and activities that harm children. Are you okay with that? I'm not, never will be.
I'm going to have to look up the EBR Hammer head now, I've never heard of it. I'm Canadian, but I do like to buy Canadian or US when I can. My favourite harley shirt is a Myrtle Beach one with an American flag front and back, but I'm sure those shirts aren't made in the US.

Absolutely it changes people’s view on the company not trying to be rude but is that even a question. Disgusting choices Harley Davidson has made. Do you think the average American appreciates a company that puts their profits towards things like, companies that support child sex change efforts and putting HD white male employees through Marxist training camps, funding a pride fair with rooms that have things like drag queens read to children. All American brands like this that go woke …will go broke. Look at the consumer basis. We’re in crisis mode in this country over these types of problems, and matters that this company is going full swing into. we have to stand up not be spineless Americans that get walked over by people that are trying to run everything good about America down the drain. It starts with things like this -not supporting corrupt companies. This used to be like rule one in running a company keep controversy and politics and religion and sex etc out of your promoting efforts and company unless it’s directly affiliated. It’s just not necessary. We know you’re inclusive, we know, do not need to boast their internal beliefs and this other crap. This is motorcycle company - focus on everything motorcycle.
I made this video more because I didn't really think it was real that they were doing them and I mostly focused on the climate stuff but having looked further in it is really the same as the John Deere and Tractor Supply stuff. There seems to be a backlash starting now as this stuff only seemed to come out this week (or atleast that's when I noticed it). People will vote with their wallets for sure.
Good video. Objective and to the point. I am in the market for a cruiser for my wife and me. Getting older, as are the 'kids' so they can be left and the house will still be standing when we get home. It's a good time for us to do some travelling together. I have looked at HD...how could i not. I will say that it does matter to me that this is happening. It will turn me off of buying a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Our dollars are how we vote and show approval or disapproval for corporate directions.
That's awesome! You'll have a great time. I can't get my wife to get her license, but she does love going as a passenger. It really is great when you can leave the kids at home. Harley makes the bikes for the type of riding I like to do, and I've seen Indian may be doing the same things... Don't make me buy a gold wing...haha
I didn't follow all the things that were discussed on the internet. That's why I only know your video. I think that the Harley-Davidson company wants to encourage everyone to ride a Harley. Since Harley also offers electric bikes, they want to advertise with a certain attitude. You want to offer the right vehicle for every person and use advertising to convey emphatically that everyone, no matter how they live, how they dress, when they love and what individual attitude this person has towards the universe and their religion, is welcome at Harley. Through this advertising, no matter what it is and how some people in the company present themselves, Harley is back in the conversation. You don't have to accept it for yourself. You'll have your own take on a Harley when you take this motorcycle for a ride. Nothing will happen to Harley. People aren't going to sell their Harleys to buy a cruiser from Indian, Suzuki, or Kawasaki. Harley has too many beautiful components to design your own Harley. However, when you see the advertisement for the 131 CI Screamin' Eagle Stage IV engine kit with the slogan "GO BIG or go home!", then the Harley universe is all right again for me. Just carry on with your normal life and let others talk. You have your Harley and also your own attitude to life, your philosophy of life and your Harley.
Well said, the only thing I would push back on is that most companies can't be everything for everyone or else they would go broke. Harley has had the issue of their riders getting older year over year so I get that they need to attract new riders but again they can't be everything to everyone, and that's OK. I do still love my bikes and will continue to ride them.
I'm hoping to keep my sport glide for that long, regardless! I think an internal combustion engine mechanic is going to be an even higher paid job in the future.
Harleys had alot of financial problems for 4 or 5 yrs they're trying all kinds of things to get people buying there bikes it's called marketing the thing is all there products cost to much theyve always been top tier in cost but there nutz now I've gone to alternative mechanics if needed and parts I'm not going to pay close to 100.00 for a oil change, 45.00 for a ball cap 65.00 for a tee shirt 300 00 dollars for some armoured Jean's they wanted 1900.00 to change handlebars l&m I cked around got it done for 500.00 at a smaller harley certified shop. They need to get real if they want the woke crowd ,good rip them off for awhile fine with me dont mean I'm gonna dye my hair ,wear lipstick, nailpolish and ride with them
Yeah the cost of fixing at a dealership is something I never see people talk about. I have lifetime oil changes on my 1 bike so I take it in as it's free (the full one still costs money though) and everything else I try to fix myself. I do need to find a good local mechanic though.

@@streetsean he's also paying himself 20 times more than the CEOs of Honda Suzuki and Yamaha
In his defence there, motorcycles would be a really small portion compared to everything else they sell. Still doesn't seem right he would make that though.
Been riding a Harley for years, I'll be riding one when this temporary woke fad has come and gone. Will I buy anything from Harley until they drop this nonsense, definitely not.
This seems like what most are saying, however I won't ride an EV harley...haha

Got rid of the woke beer but I'm not sure if I'm going to get rid of my bike worth thousands. The guys at the dealership will get a taste of my distaste on the matter and they're not going to like it.
@@MrMann-gt1eh Thanks for the heads up. What you say makes sense.
That is the crappy thing, corporate would do it and the dealerships would have to bear the brunt of a lot of the criticism as they are customer facing. I love my bikes as much as you do it seems. Ride safe!
😂 wow what stand 😂
EVERYTHING I DON'T LIKE IS WOKE 😠😠😠
Still own and ride HD's but haven't supported or stepped foot into one of their dealerships in over 30 years, the company can go broke for all I care.
What was it that made you not go for 30 years?
Instead of just not supporting HD anymore… make them hear your voice!!! The flipping government and banks (government) is MAKING companies do this crap for their dang ESG score. Tell them to stop it.
Yeah, my wife's old company created a whole ESG department...they've been causing more problems
Your money IS your voice. They don't hear your words.
This is true!
I was thinking about a Pan American but I am going KTM instead now.
Pan America is a great bike, but you can't fo wrong with a KTM
HD is owned by Blackrock
That's what some people are saying
It’s not political it moral. And my Harley was purchased before the woke DEI stuff. But no I’ll never purchase another.
Both of mine as well. Will hold of going to any harley dealers for awhile for sure.
Next year I’m buying a new bike… yes I do care.
At this point Honda is more American than HD
And Honda just focuses on building motorcycles.
Harley actually went woke over a year ago at the big 120 anniversary
I missed that, what happened at the 120 event?
Maybe we just buy their older stuff produced when they were 100 with American values and traditions.
That seems to be what a lot of people are saying.
So unfair to the employee's and investors for the corporate ideology.
Yes, although I understand that you can't please everyone, but these seem like big issues people may have.
Good advice! I usually only buy merch when I travel so that should be easy to stop doing anyway.
Many of the same guys who drank Bud light were Harley guys. Of course it will make a difference.
@@pw3543 many Harley guys still drink Bud Light. I know a Harley mechanic that keeps it stocked next to his workbench for after work.

Harley is Gay now accept it
Gay Ptide
I guess I'll have to.
Yes I care! Wont support HD in any way! Praying for the dealers, suppliers, bike owners and everyone else with equity in the brand.
A lot of people feel the same. I'm hoping no one is bothering the people at the dealerships because of this.
They’ve realized they need to change but it’s too late and when they do appeal to the younger generation or women the die hards hate it and see it as “Harley’s gone woke!”
Meanwhile their die hards are getting older to the point where their best selling bike isn’t even a bike, it’s a tricycle. but hey at least they’ve stayed true to their calling despite the sales numbers plummeting.
@@streetsean that’s fair, if that’s what you like then hey that’s what you like.

Not too many people talk about the dealerships in a good light. I've been pretty lucky that ours around here aren't too bad.
I get people have issues with certain things, I don't personally care because I think most of the "woke" issues people complain about aren't real issues. It's always he said she said. I know bikers who are part of the lgbtq and they are good people. I have a few gay friends I'd die for.I didn't buy a harley because of the original Harley agenda I bought it because I like it. I feel their original agenda was just freedom, which is cool. I'm sure people will call me names or something but my point is most people complaining use the term woke for everything they don't like. Woke isn't transgender bathrooms and it isn't about books. I just can't understand how learning how to be diverse and inclusive is a bad thing unless you're just a hateful person. I don't mean you specifically. But that's my 2 cents. Bring it on haters, I guess.
I don't think anyone can really hate on anything you said here. As a company, they can do what they like as long as the product is good. Zuma, I'll have to look that one up. What made you switch 15 years ago?
@@streetseanThe Zuma is a 50 cc moped, for in town😊. I gave up H-D because of the ridiculous amount of vibration in the old shovelheads I had and primarily because of the juvenile mentality I witnessed at H.O.G. events. Big twin over sportster, Evo over shovelhead, don't talk about other brands, etc. They were like snob fests . Also the change from mom and pop dealerships to forcing them to upgrade their buildings at significant expense to them was a turn-off, they lost their charm doing so. Some of us enjoy multiple brands and being "in the wind" is all that matters. Thanks for asking me to tell you why😊

Going woke or not isn’t the issue, their community is aging out and they are not making bikes that appeal to the younger generations.
They do have a couple of bikes I think do appeal to the younger generation (nightster, sportster S). However, I think they are just priced way higher than their competitors to be an option.
I see plenty of young people riding used 3500 to 4000 dollar HDs.
I love American made products. Unfortunately Harley Davidson stopped loving American consumers a long, long time ago. I'd love to own an American made motorcycle.

Yeah let’s stop this political nonsense with HD.
I agree!

As soon as Green Day the America haters did the 120th, I was done.... FHD
Someone did mention that harley did something during the 120th...wasn't sure what they were talking about. Makes sense now
We just traded for a triglide in Feb!!!!!!!!!!!!
How do you like the trike? Is it your first one?
This is why i always buy second hand.
Both my Harleys are second hand as well.
I think the climate chance thing is just a cash grab.
But yea I won't buy an EV so if that's the way they go I'll just ride my old bike till it dies.
I'm hoping to keep my sport glide for that long, regardless! I think an internal combustion engine mechanic is going to be an even higher paid job in the future.
I'm Boycotting Harley

Harleys had alot of financial problems for 4 or 5 yrs they're trying all kinds of things to get people buying there bikes it's called marketing the thing is all there products cost to much theyve always been top tier in cost but there nutz now I've gone to alternative mechanics if needed and parts I'm not going to pay close to 100.00 for a oil change, 45.00 for a ball cap 65.00 for a tee shirt 300

Yeah the cost of fixing at a dealership is something I never see people talk about. I have lifetime oil changes on my 1 bike so I take it in as it's free (the full one still costs money though) and everything else I try to fix myself. I do need to find a good local mechanic though.
