    This video is just a little tutorial on where to find fish while fishing a fast moving river. Take time to Look for bait and slower moving water and just chuck a soft plastic in.its all about finding where the fish are stacked up and getting your jig right infront of there nose. I managed some bottom feeder with suckers and some smaller catfish further down the river on bait. leeches and worms are great options.

    Can you explain how you fish at dam with strong water like that
    Do you reel it in against the current using heavier weight?
    Or cast it up the current and reel it in with the current?

    • @Benharris2710
      @Benharris2710  2 дні тому

      heavier weight for sure but you could ise a different try of bait. like a vibe/blade could be a good option. also could try floating a bait with a heavier balsa float sonya can still cast.

    Love your video. I moved to a new home with a fast moving cement lined canal. Supposed to be full of brown and rainbow trout. I can’t figure out to catch them. I’ve successfully fished every other types of waterways for 65 years. Any suggestions? Scott

      Hey Scott I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the video appreciate the kind words. I would try a few different methods. My first would be seeing what you think they might be eating. Maybe a small rainbow or brown trout patterned crankbait/jerkbait.
      Another method would be using and indicator and either a balanced leech or an atomic tube jig. They would imitate alot in most water ways.
      If not just a work on a bobber is always a good play too. I hope this helps

      Hi mate. You can access this from the rivers campground side. If you get to the lakeside of the spillway you can follow a car track down. It's not that bad either I could even do it in my Sunfire haha 🤣

    How do you know what the fish are thinking and where they will be? Are you linked to them telepathically somehow,? I’d love to bash some bottom with you. Cheers Ben.
