saw these guys many years back and they walked...they were all about 4 inches taller than me and I'm about 6ft. I was like holy fuck... Laureano was the drummer and a nice guy to talk to over a drink at the bar. good band live

This crowd doesn't deserve a band with this calibre, i mean look at them, so lame.
It is very frowned upon to "mosh" or start circle pits at Black Metal concerts. It's been that way from the beginning of the second wave. A lot of early bands considered it macho behavior and disapprove of it.
e16able Not everyone likes headbanging. I out grew headbanging years ago. Now I just watch a band and listen to metal for the simple pleasure of how much I like hearing the music. I don't need to headbang to it anymore. When I watch a band play live a lot of the time I just like watching them play their instruments and watching what they're doing. I will cheer and clap at the end of the song, and tap my foot during the song, but I don't enjoy headbanging anymore. Look at6 Jason Newsted and Tom Araya. Tom had to have neck surgery from headbanging, and Jason suffered from chronic whiplash from years of headbanging.

Some people actually like Metal for it's artistic and intellectual merits, and grew past only needing it as a soundtrack for their knuckle dragging. I don't consider myself a headbanger, I consider myself a metalhead. Age has nothing to do with headbanging. I know a lot of metalheads that don't headbang. It's mentalities like yours why Black Metal was an elitist art form to begin with. It was meant to only attract people who were into the message and the darkness of it. It was designed to turn off all the alpha male wannabees who were like "Whoa, that's heavy dude. I can't wait to get into the pit and headbang to that man." Don't bother commenting back until you've grown up because I have no interest in reading the comments of a child.

God fucking damn this is the exact same thing I was thinking when I saw them in Cleveland with behemoth inquisition and goatwhore. The other bands sounded fucking tip top and 1349 had ZERO GUITARS in the speakers. I was very disappointed.

BORING CROWD AT ALL.
You know, I've seen this band about ten years ago and they're bloody nice guys but their corpsepaint is still pretty much awfull...
For me, Black Metal has never been a live medium. The fans & artists tend to be loners & concerts are inherently ostentatious. The notion of the Black Metal Concert is pretty unnatural. 1349 do a much better job than most Black Metal bands so far as coming across as in their element while on stage.

Nope. The music genre just lacks combination of agression and groove. If I listen to BM id rather want to make a groping fist and raise it slowly upwards in the air and imagine that i hold the world in my hand. If you want to mosh, put on some "Five Finger Death Punch" or Slipknot.
