I was there. I went upstairs from the mosh pit to the balcony on purpose so I could see the performance more clearly. The warm up acts where Peccatum followed by Limbonic Art. My friends and I were amazed that Ihsahn was playing all the lead guitar parts and singing at the same time.
@@casillamo The sound was incredible. As i said, my friends and I were in awe of the sound. The DVD was impressive but to actually be there was something I will never forget. A special mention to Ihsahn who I could clearly see was the main driving force behind the band but every member of the band played spectacularly that night.

Ironically this actually sounds better than the performances they've done ever since the split-up. Trym's drumming is tighter as well. Not a very tight drummer in general, but he was good here. Great concert in general! And now, what, nothing played live from the last two albums? To cater for the simple tastes of people these days? Why? What a pity.
They were touring as a unit for a couple of years by then. They were an active band with tons of shows together and it shows. Tyr providing solid as fuck backing vocals, far more fitting than the ones done by the Leprous guy.
Trym was usually a tight drummer, but he was also pretty physical in his approach, his technique wasn't as refined or as versatile as many extreme drummers today. With him it's basically all singles, heel up on the db, and so on. His playing here was brutal. Aging can take its toll. He was certainly tighter and even faster here, compared to today, especially in his double bass. But still a legend and one of the best in the genre.
