As a former pitcher adding a body-jerk or any additional sudden movement to throw off a batter's timing was always key. The trick is not letting it interfere with your follow-through.

It deff works if it's enough to throw me off as the viewer I can only imagine how much it can fuck you up during a big game under pressure tens of thousands of people shouting and hollering. Yeah that shit will fuck you up I'm surprised pitchers don't do weird little things like that more often. I'm not huge on baseball so I don't know what the limits are to how much you can move around or what kind of gestures your aloud to make can you wave your arms around can you take steps backwards forwards? Is there a time limit to how long you can stall until you have to throw your next pitch?

Brady Kent i'm pretty sure they do that so it's easier for the pitcher to get the pitch call

You should've also shown how Luis Tiant floats the glove down when he comes set and sort of gyrates it back and forth. Easily the oddest part of his delivery in my opinion.

Could we include Al Hrabosky, or Mark "The Bird" Fidrych? They had very unusual, weird pitching styles. Hrabosky would get ticked off, walk off the mound a bit, and punch into his glove in anger, before walking back to the mound. Fidrych would actually talk to the baseball.

Mark Fidrych entertained by talking to the ball. Al was "The Mad Hungarian" if I'm not mistaken.
