When James performed Tulisa Contostavlos' song "Young" on the X Factor, an acoustic version of her song, I said to my Mrs at the time "Here is your X factor winner!". His voice is incredible. Every single song he touches turns to gold.
Seen him live 3 times… he insane.. unique.. one of the best vocalist ever
His cover of 'I love you' by Billie Eilish is hauntingly beautiful. The journey he takes you on.. wow
You have to listen to more of his songs he's simply an amazing artist and a big advocate for Mental health here in the UK

James Arthur is one of my favorite artists; he sings with his heart and surprises us with his new songs💞🥰
I have become a huge fan of James Arthur over the last 5 years. H never misses. I have never seen him screw up anything in any song ever. He always delivers full impact emotion. "Safe Inside", about his little sister is incredible. His work with Chasing Grace in "Certain Things" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. His cover of Emile Sands' "Hurts" live sounds like a studio production. "Naked", "SOS"... He simply just does not miss.
He sounds incredible. I love that he does acoustic version of all of his songs and he sounds betta singing live then in studio. It's just unbelievable emotion and the voice is epic

Been a fan of him since his audition performance. He has so much depth in his art. So much emotion in his voice that if he'll sing nursery rhymes it will still punch you in the feels.
This is one of my favourite performances by any singer, I can always feel the sadness
James Arthur is truly amazing. He won The X-Factor UK in 2012, and you can see why. I saw him live when he was touring with One Republic and I still have his concert t-shirt that I bought because I truly was there just to see him. Unfortunately his set was cut short because of rain issues, the whole concert was delayed and as the opener his set was cut to only something ike 3 songs. If I ever get the chance to see him live again I will jump at the chance.

That involuntary sigh from you at 4:12 is one of those nuances that only other audiophiles will understand. It's a reaction to the subtle shifts in music and the way an artist sounds that just hits us in a way that makes us react, relax or just respond in a way that we don't even realize. I hope you've now gone on to listen to much more of James' songs since this video was made.
That same thing happens to me a lot when I'm listening to James Arthur, especially during the part that you recognized. His voice eases my anxiety when i'm driving.

I saw him live this past summer in Montreal, amazing show. I ping pong between James and Adam Lambert for superior singing. Both are at the top of their game. Maybe you could react to Adam either solo or with Queen. I think you and your audience would enjoy it.

Hey Bethany, I just watched his audition again. It had been a while since I'd seen it and it overwhelmed me again like it did the first time I saw him. I remember writing a comment among the thousands that were written, and I said, "there's your winner right there." I have nothing that even approaches talent, but if there is anything useful in anything I can do it is hearing and seeing talent and when he started the rap portion I remember I jumped out of my chair and said, "there it is!!! that's the one". I remember thinking as long as they leave him alone and don't try to screw around with anything. Charisma in buckets. And a willingness to let us see his struggle. Then there was that voice, raw and unfiltered and perfect.
Needless to say I was in tears for most of his performance. I don't get goosebumps or chills, I cry. I've been that way since I was a kid. As if being the smallest kid in school wherever I went. Even when I graduated from Elementary I was the smallest kid down to the first grade and I was in the eight grade. In High School forget about it. The day I graduated I think there were two freshman girls that I was bigger than I was at 5'2/12" tall and 105 lbs.. Oops!! There goes my ADHD again. Oh well, at least I can spell it.
