this could be the most versatile library ever, the fact that you guys now offer each track/mic separated it's amazing, hopefully we could see an update for older libraries with this amount of flexibility! or maybe new libraries with even more versatility ! ♥

Tue needs to fill that pool and record drums then. That would be the library!

I was having a play with a couple of the Death presets and noticed that the OH channel seemed to pan the snare slightly right when it was soloed. Anyone else notice this?
Doesn't detract from the sound, but I picked it up when mixing with headphones late at night.

Mark's approach to overheads was giving priority to the cymbals, so snare positioning was not paramount. There are also 3 separate overhead channels (a stereo and a mono), therefore if a very centered snare is a priority in your mixing you can enable the Mono overhead channel and engage the snare in the "Bleed from instruments" section. This will ensure a centered snare.

Noticed that too but honestly in this genre of music, shells in OH aren’t the priority

@@XiyuYang When you're OC/DC like me and mixing, it does :D
In the grand scheme of things I don't think anyone would hear it anyway.

@@toontrack I followed that advice when making my own preset with Untamed.

@@MartinvonBargen Well in that case there's a couple things you can do. I think Death offers 2 sets of stereo OH mics and 1 mono OH mic, mix and match snare bleed in the OH and you should be able to get a centered snare. I do wonder why the snare is not centered when recording though, usually when using X/Y OH in this genre, people center the snare.

Is the snare drum centered in the overheads?

I am a toontrack newbie......can I use death and darkness drumsets with the original grooves of superior drummer 3 ?

Hi, yes, you can use any Toontrack MIDI with any EZX or SDX. That said, some MIDI are of course maybe catered towards a specific kind of library, like the Latin Cuban percussion, Orchestral MIDI or Electronic MIDI. But yes, the Core SD3 MIDI can indeed be used with Death & Darkness SDX

This looks great, it’s not the price I’m concerned about it’s the lack of space on my hard drive😂 but why did you give this library such a shit name? 😞

Because the name doesn't matter at all
