It took a lot of guts to get out there in the wrong shoes and spar your instructor in front of a crowd that size. Wearing headgear you can barely see out of . And without your glasses. They both were nearsighted but Lee at least had on his contacts. The best students, like Taky Kimura here, volunteered for the experiment, taking the hits, the falls. Whether it was classical sticky hands or demonstrating the validity of a prototype martial approach to combat (Jeet Kune Do) , Taky was Lee's go - to man. The only thing tougher and more durable than Taky was Taky's loyalty to his instructor. He saw the struggling twenty one year old in a demo, became his student, offered the basement of his grocery store for his first school, organized the books, the fees, and the rates, etc. Never asked for a dime. He knew Bruce needed the money to start a family which he later was Bruce's best man. When they did demos like this one, Taky booked the hotels, arranged the travel, brought the gear, organized the line to the table where Bruce signed autographs, etc. He went out there when called , many times without a warm up. Sometimes when he wasn't needed, he seemed only a spectator, a face in the crowd. But always...he...was...there. When Lee's movies started, Lee begged him to come to Hong Kong and be part of it. That was Okay. He would pass. He was no actor and didn't wish to embarrass his sifu. The friendship transcended Bruce's life by him being a pallbearer and taking stewardship over his grave site for the next four decades. Thats no exaggeration. I attended the 40th anniversary along with some 250 others from the Netherlands and Israel to Japan and Egypt. Cars lined the hill down to the cemetery entrance. There was a separate office sign in book on a separate table just for Lee. The original from 73. They just kept adding pages from then to now. It was thick like an old hardcover dictionary. Amazing. That was Taky's doing. Finally, there was Taky sitting on a marble bench opposite Bruce's and Brandon's stone. Flowers still neat. He spoke surrounded by a silent crowd for the next fifteen minutes in a firm almost baritone voice with an articulation better suited for radio. He described Bruce without the flash, the myth, or the flattery. Just the original Seattle Bruce. The near sighted kid with a hop in his step who put in the work. You put in the work as well, Taky. And a fine ninety six year testament it will always be. A friendship unspoiled by attention, untarnished by grief,... fettered from Hypocrisy. To many, he was Lee's right hand man. The REAL Kato. To me, he was simply...the Man. R.I.P. Taky Kimura 1/7/21
The speed has been broken down by anylyzing frame rates, and it's quite fast...Almost too fast. With the cameras only able to take so many frames per second, it's very hard to tell the exact time he begins the strike. I think the video frame rate of the day gives him an advantage in appearance of speed for that particular kick, it's insanely fast. And don't think that it didn't have power, it did!
@Joel Marbo It's ridiculously fast! One of the most devastating kicks in his arsenal wasn't shown due to its prone to injury, the oblique kick. Sugar Sean used it well in UFC 260.
You could tell he wasn't really opening up. Looks like he was showing how effective his lead interceptions can be. That counter kick at the end was smooth.
yep, bruce did not do any combinations, did not chase, hardly did any follow ups, and did not bounce around. this was clearly light sparring and demonstrating his reads and counters. can't believe there are ppl saying bruce doesn't know how to move in sparring cause he's not bouncing around preemptively. any intermediate can bounce around and move away after a punch. bruce was clearly staying close to the pocket on purpose in this demo unless ppl think bruce has such good techniques but lack the intermediate skill of stepping away lol.
@@Viewer13128 Bruce is definitely out fighting more than he is pocket fighting in this "sparring" video. He almost always take steps away from striking range, everytime his sparring partner enters the pocket. Can you not see this? A relaxed and light sparring session does not mean you throw out your fighting technique. No matter how light you move, you are still being extremely technical and tight. This has been evident in all my sparring sessions across 15+ kickboxing gyms. Never has someone become sloppier or less technical because they are going "light". Seeing Bruce's stand up here makes him seem like an amateur at best. He has many holes in his defense and very rarely moves his head. Not to mention his sparring partners in this video are worse than 13 year old girls in my gym.
@@upsndownbro8497 i'm talking about ppl saying bruce is not preemptively bouncing on the balls of his feet or preemptively moving away. ofc, don't misunderstand that I mean bruce was in-fighting in this clip. as i said, bruce looked like he was demonstrating reads, counters, distance management, timing and the likes. also, please dont misunderstand that i said anything about throwing your own techniques out of the window. use this analogy. when pacquiao is sparring, he has a habit of, for intermittent chunks of the round (or an entire round), NOT doing what Thurman termed as his "jack rabbit" thing. pac gets clipped. pac fails to react in such positions he placed himself in BUT he did not place himself in those positions to get hit. the willingness or desire to stay in a not ideal position for the purpose of executing a move you want to and then showing signs of weakness does not indicate that the person has undeveloped fighter's reaction. this does not mean pacquiao threw his techniques out the window. he simply used his skills for another purpose. i am talking about a similar concept here. when bruce, a master, is demoing in a light spar with his student (perceived inferior), he wanted to adopt a certain stance/style and demonstrate certain attributes. I am not saying he threw his techniques out the window. i am saying he DOES NOT want to bounce around as some ppl point out. they also say because bruce bounced around in his movie, the fact that he fails to do so in sparring shows he cannot react in sparring. this is ridiculous as bouncing around can be done by any intermediate fighter with less training than Bruce. those ppl do not know fighting. now, because it's not a choreographed demo, there are some areas where Bruce did not respond ideally, as he was placing himself in such a position to show off his reads and counters. but this does not discredit bruce, as the same happens to legendary fighters like pacquiao, where when he places himself in a disadvantageous position instead of bouncing in and out, he also gets clipped multiple times in sparring. again, the willingness or desire to stay in a not ideal position for the purpose of executing a move you want to and then showing signs of weakness does not indicate that the person has undeveloped fighter's reaction. my initial comment was referring to ppl who after seeing bruce did not bounce around like he did in the movie against chuck norris, claims he can't react properly in sparring. from what i see, the stance bruce was in, and the fact that he was not preemptively moving, it is very difficult to react and if we found a veteran fighter and requested he adopt the same stance, that veteran fighter would get clipped too. and ofc, in sparring and especially in demos, many fighters purposely put themselves in these stances because they want to execute or practice or demonstrate certain things. therefore, bruce putting himself in this position DOES NOT MEAN HE CAN'T PREMEMPTIVE MOVE LIKE OTHER FIGHTERS, because he showed he can and because it's an intermediate skill. a hobbyist who has sparred for a few months could bounce around and dodge punches. Anyone who is aware of this concept can do this. Bruce was a fan of Ali, he is more than aware of this concept, yet he did not do it in this demo. Clear as heck he wanted to show off certain things in this demo.
@Azu Shi you should not compare the likes of pop culture bruce lee to multiple weight champion boxers. They are of different calibre. They very fact that you compare the two makes me very much doubt your fighting knowledge. You act like you know Bruce Lee's every intentions and thoughts from a old, low quality, limited video. Resultantly, you come across as very biased and thus your observations are not objective. Any fighter worth their salt, will tell you from observing the sparring footage that bruce lee is an amateur at best. He has no head movement, rudimentary footwork and he is always standing in centre line. His only defense is moving straight backwards, which he gets away with in the video because his opponent is terrible. Any amateur boxer or kick boxer learns how to move off centre line and pivot off while evading punches/kicks. From day one, you are told to limit moving in a straight line backwards. He does not set up any combinations, doesnt feint, doesnt change levels, change angles. He merely moves in and out - something he can achieve because his opponent is terrible. You speak as though you know fighting, so let me ask you a question. You say that any fighter who can learn to bounce in a matter of months, as though you have learnt it before. So tell me, why do fighters bounce?
@@upsndownbro8497 i am not comparing the fighters, i am comparing the state/position/style which they are in. the fact that u bring up this point about their statuses makes me question you likewise. bringing up their status/ranks/roles introduces bias. i look at the position they are in and the way they are fighting in, and using real fighters is merely used as a gauge so we can have an approximately area to define variables and realistic expectations. the fact that you glossed over my points relative to reaction and focused on their reputation makes me question you as well.
@@ThouArtOfWar0724 he's balance is perfect, he's never off balance when throwing a strike. The only time his balance could ever be compromised is when he crosses his legs when moving laterally which is a no no in boxing but he does that when he's out of range. Takedowns are effective in MMA because most fighters fight with a square on stance which limits movement, the guys who do use a bladed stance aren't always quick on their feet so leave the front leg exposed which leaves them open to a single leg. Bruce was however incredibly fast, and you can see from this footage he times a lot of traps and is a good counter striker which makes him very effective at catching his opponents coming in. If he catches you with one of those roundhouse kicks to the head coming in for a takedown it's lights out, or even one of those side kicks to the body. The fact that he's using bladed stance but leads with his dominant leg forward allowing him to throw those brutal side kicks would make me very hesitant to attempt to take him down as all hid have to do is lift the front leg up to chamber and shoot that front kick out at you. Considering he used to practice side kicks on a 700pound bag you wouldn't want to get caught with one of those!
@@phoenix21studios Even if I was an expert, that's a logical fallacy, that experts are always right over non experts. It's called argumentum ad verecundiam, the "appeal to authority". Any position should be able to be supported on its own. In this case, the judgement is subjective, so there is no right or wrong, regardless of one's expertise, or lack thereof.
You can tell Bruce wasn't really opening up like he could of if he wanted to. He was just showing how effective his interceptions was. He did a couple of traps and blocks and counters. He showed how powerful his straight lead was because that would of been a knockout. And that hook kick at the end was impressive because he intercepted a punch with a kick while he was in punching range. You have to be very fast to do that.
I love this because this is textbook how you'd see it in his Fighting Method book. He did all of the dancing around and flashy kicks in the movies. Here you can see how tight and efficient he actually was. He used his lead hand like a fencer. His ability to keep and close distance he got from fencing and built it into his style.
I knew exactly which one was Bruce Lee by how calm and confident his fighting stance was. The other guy looked kinda nervous by his fighting stance at first like he was trying to figure Bruce out.
His speed from all credible sources was incredibly fast, but he wasn't superhuman so still had the reaction time delay. Indeed it was his reads of setups that allowed him to react so quickly. Amazing stuff.
Yes spot on. This was done during a time where the Western world had only seen Eastern fighting in movies. Martial Arts was the stuff of Hollywood for many. This was simply an exposition - A very light freeform session to show the practicality of his style to America. It was a demonstration of skill, not a competition.
@@fatinthehat2024 come on bro its the 1960s yes, but is bruce a wrestler? Look at 1:30 you cant even see the punch so idk what your watching man was ahead of his time no one could fight like they can now back then
Amazing stuff, what an definitive showing of skill. I've been waiting so long for this video to be "uncovered". Thank you for the clear picture quality, and complete without micro-edits and cuts. Great music!
You can tell by the way he moves around and leans back for some of the punches that he was influenced by Muhammad Ali. He even admitted that if he fought Ali, "He'd kill me".
Bruce Lee methods is street defense I read his books his thing is in a real fight your down on the ground n he’s standing at the end of the day.JKD is self defense for the street n people don’t know Bruce Lee has fought in the street a lot and also challenged every style of Martial arts Masters in the U.S and dismantled and beat them .WOW I wish I could have learn from him. The biggest thing I loved about him is he didn’t have prejudice in his heart like the old Chinese masters who didn’t want to share knowledge to outsiders , Bruce didn’t care all colors nationalities was welcome in his dojo. You have to respect that , in a time when it comes wasn’t popular he went against the grain of Chinese cultural rules and secrets. I respect him the upmost for this. RIP Master Bruce Lee the true dragon.
Sooo many people talk about how good they are and they demonstrate their moves with somebody who just corporates with them. But I’ve never seen anyone spar like this man. Effortless.
Hi, There is one very exciting thing is in this video is the end. Severeal times I saw this sparring, but on most of the videos some movement is missing. In this video it is added. Bruce Lee's "last kick", I mean in the video on James Lee. Who made this video, is also slow down this kick and add for the original, because it is a double kick. Only visible in slow motion. The reasons are known, Bruce Lee is a very fast kicker, and in 1967 the cameras can be record 24 picture / secundum. So. If you slow down in youtube the video to 0,25 speed and see from 3:33 to 3:37 the video, you can found, that Bruce start the kick, first block the opponent's hand (just 1-2 picture) it is a little bit visible when he is strech his leg in, and fold it back, than kick towards to the head with the next streching in of leg. Check it. Most of the other same videos are not contains this part of the fight. I don't know why, but this show how fast Bruce Lee was. At first seeing it seems it is a very fast head kick, but it is much more. Slow down the video, and check it! And I also think the key point is the timing, there was more in this sparring, when Bruce Lee want to show to everyone and to the opponent, that he can kick or puch at any time the opponent, if he wants it. That's why Bruce use some interesting stances, when he is waiting, because he can react during the opponents started attack... So thank you for this video! For me it is an additional proof of Bruce Lee's real very unique abilities. And if someone see the "lost interview" with Bruce Lee, he tolds himself it is a very hard work on everyday to be on top always. So thanks again.
There is an error here! The first sparring partner was Dan Inosanto. The second sparring partner was James Lee. At 1:48 and 1:49 you see James Lee walk in to spar as the second opponent.
This masterpiece of matial art recreated for this man made my cry, I swear we didn’t saw nothing if this man could live with us nowadays, how many wisdom we lost with this man than cannot be revealed anymore
Can I just say to everyone saying its not real sparring, I'm pretty sure it was a demonstration. This was meant to teach not injure, so of course he wouldnt give it 110% as if it was life or death. Not saying he isnt trying but he doesn't want to injure his students
@@JJ-zr6fu exactly! He's using mostly long-range, ineffective attacks. Folks, watch the video again. This time, watch it from the perspective of Lee's opponent. If you were playing a video game and this guy was your character, would you use those same attacks at that range? For example, at 3:30, why in the world would you decide, at this range to throw a hook? WHAT IS HE PUNCHING?? They even replay that in slow motion. Just ask yourself, why did he throw that strike? Was it to signal the counter? I must admit, I thoroughly enjoy watching this from Lee's perspective. It allows us to live through Bruce Lee, kinda like all his movies did 🤷♂️ And I got nothing but love and respect for everything Bruce Lee did. I love his interviews, books, crazy training methods and feats, etc. I'm not saying he couldn't fight like that. I'm just saying his opponent isn't behaving like a skilled fighter; those attacks are ridiculous. Sorry if that ruins the video for you.
Bruce won an amateur boxing tournament back in Hong Kong as a teenager beating western opponents. He also incorporated boxing principles in to his JKD system. Although he preffered fighting with the dominant hand forward.
Most people don’t realize this isn’t a real fight. This is him demonstrating some of the techniques of his style. That’s why almost exclusively uses leads. No hooks, combos, crosses, etc. he is literally limiting himself to jabs and front kicks. This is a demo of point fighting (kind of like fencing or karate).
People need to understand, what they were doing was uncharted territory. They were bringing together martial arts talent and knowledge that hadn't worked together like this before. Some techniques may look primitive to us now, but MMA today wouldn't exist if it wasn't for people like Bruce and Dan experimenting and teaching people like this.
Hi again, remember me? This is my edit of the spar where I added the end kick on. This isn't Bruce sparring Taki Kimura, the second guy he sparred was James Yimm Lee.
@@TheDaggwood When he walks in with his head gear off you can see him. Also, I have some students of Bruce's students on my facebook friends list and a few of them have told me who it was. Bruce was an icon, and legend in the fight game, but at this point in time there were still so many unknows, and the sport itself was still evolving. Highly praise Bruce as a tremendous person, influencer, and role model. However want people to realize he was just a man of flesh and bone like any of us. Was not a God, and honestly not an actual Fighter like people portray. To his defense there really wasn't any real pro fighting organizations or way to work and display abilities like today. You can tell none of these guys have a lot of live sparring experience (but who did in the 60s/70s other then Boxers?). Bruce was best out of the 3, but was still making a lot of common beginner type mistakes. Very little footwork, and stiff with head straight in the air. Only looking to counter, and just committing to one punch or kick, no combinations. Allowing opponet to get into inside/pocket too easily, not great distance management. Head on Center line, too kick heavy, needed to work on using hands better.
There were plenty, dozens if not hundreds of competitions he could have entered and never entered one, therefore based solely on simple definitions he was not a fighter. My guess is if he believed he was actually great, he would have been a fighter. So I would suggest that he was a weak as fuck fighter and knew it and chose not to enter a single competition in his entire life because he damn well knew that he was not a fighter. How many competitions has Jackie Chan or Jet Li won? Also zero. They know that their performance art is just that. It is entirely indistinguishable from dancing. Bruce Lee never claimed to be a fighter because he knew that he would be a lying asshole.
All those things you mentioned are because he knows it is just entertainment and theoretical. People knew about footwork and combos in the 60s, but performance art doesn't require it, so they have no need to use it. This is all very rudimentary. In fact, it bothers me to have to explain it to you.
Hopefully this can put an end to the argument Bruce won't win in today's MMA. Bruce would lose, given he never even had the chance to learn the grappling arts, because he passed away as he was taking it up. Bruce philosophy was what gave him a legacy. The idea that tradition was not the tell all when it comes to full combat. At that time, to speak up and make a change, is what makes him the Greatest Martial Artist. Yes many of his teachings are out dated but many are not. Lots of his teachings still hold today. Visionaries are what make legends. Arnold Schwarzenegger physique won't even make top 10 in the 90s but he is the greatest bodybuilder bc of his dedication to make the sport what it is today. Though Bruce won't survive today's combat, he def is the reason it got to where it is today.
Arnold Schwartzenegger was never the best body builder. There were always people more impressive than him even in the very competitions he won. It is a popularity contest and extremely subjective, the world of body building. Same with theoretical martial arts, there is no clear competition, and the societies surrounding these types of disciplines have their own criteria based often times on perception or impression, not reality. There is no metric on which you can compete meritoroiusly, just like ice skating, gymnastics, or any other performance sport. In these competitions, politics and bias are the only things that drive decisions. It is the difference between a 3 point contest and a dunk contest. Only one determines who objectively won, and the other is based purely on emotion. Therefore, everything you said was entirely baseless. Furthermore, the statement that 'visionaries are what make legends' is so asinine, I am of the mind that it would need it's own word.
ahhh i see why bruce lee had a long guard it was distance management no wonder in this video hes so good at intercepting.... kinda like how connor mcgregor used to fight with that long guard... instead of using a jab to find range why not use a long guard . That plus the references for defense being the centerline theory and the gates in wing chun giving a sense of direction .

Bruce lee was using angles before pacquiao lol he really was ahead of his time. He died at the age of 32 yet made such an impact on the world. Imagine what he would have accomplished if he was 50

In no shape or form did bruce lee invent mma he talked a good game but didnt invent and didnt even show the world ... gracie did but nice try
I understand you went and looked on wikipedia and looked up quotes by famous people but you shouldn't believe everything you hear about bruce lee though i love his movies and his outlook on martial arts his accomplishments are highly exaggerated
@PockyLove you can believe whatever you want the facts dont change, pankration combined different martial arts and so did competitors in vale tudo during bruce lee being a toddler, like i said people like dana are very smart business men and saying bruce is the father of mma is great for business as his following is huge including me, i just believe the stuff thats real about him and enjoy his movies 👍

The high-kick at 2.05, I swear I never seen a high-kick so fast in my hole life
The speed has been broken down by anylyzing frame rates, and it's quite fast...Almost too fast.
I was about to say that! 😳
watch taekwondo
Wasn't fast at all. He didn't even kick
3:28 it's just so hard to believe he landed a headkick while his opponent hand was still in there
Unreal speed
At a split moment they exchange and he does it with such speed smoothness and it looks almost effortless because he’s practiced it so many times.
@@upsndownbro8497 i am not comparing the fighters, i am comparing the state/position/style which they are in. the fact that u bring up this point about their statuses makes me question you likewise.
bringing up their status/ranks/roles introduces bias. i look at the position they are in and the way they are fighting in, and using real fighters is merely used as a gauge so we can have an approximately area to define variables and realistic expectations.
the fact that you glossed over my points relative to reaction and focused on their reputation makes me question you as well.
the thing that stands out to me here is his style. His footwork and his balance. Supremely in control. It's a beautiful thing to see.
His balance is questionable a good jiu-jitsu fighter gets this fight to the ground rather quickly but purely stand up he's extremely fast

@@ryanbarton7757 that's a good analysis. Thank you.
You have to be very fast to do that.
exactly no real straight blast or staying in trapping range and finishing ... he hid his main weapons. Smart dude

Amazing how Bruce had the vision to predict the moves before hand blocking with an attack

Sooo many people talk about how good they are and they demonstrate their moves with somebody who just corporates with them. But I’ve never seen anyone spar like this man. Effortless.
Hi,
There is one very exciting thing is in this video is the end.
Bruce is like a fencing cat. Slow steady movements, sudden pauses, then strikes with lightning speed and precision.
There is an error here! The first sparring partner was Dan Inosanto. The second sparring partner was James Lee. At 1:48 and 1:49 you see James Lee walk in to spar as the second opponent.

Can I just say to everyone saying its not real sparring, I'm pretty sure it was a demonstration. This was meant to teach not injure, so of course he wouldnt give it 110% as if it was life or death. Not saying he isnt trying but he doesn't want to injure his students
Also his student wants to make his instructor look good. Demonstration go both ways.
It allows us to live through Bruce Lee, kinda like all his movies did 🤷♂️
And I got nothing but love and respect for everything Bruce Lee did. I love his interviews, books, crazy training methods and feats, etc.
I'm not saying he couldn't fight like that. I'm just saying his opponent isn't behaving like a skilled fighter; those attacks are ridiculous. Sorry if that ruins the video for you.
He told his his students to go at him, Bruce was just playing with them, if he wanted to take them out the spar would have been over in seconds
3:31 PERFECT!
2:38 so he did study boxing, if that's him great footage, good sparring sessions but he had some serious moves.
Yes his form of martial arts, JKD, has a lot of input from Western Boxing. He didn't argue or try to go against what worked, just applied it.
Bruce won an amateur boxing tournament back in Hong Kong as a teenager beating western opponents. He also incorporated boxing principles in to his JKD system. Although he preffered fighting with the dominant hand forward.
Oh yeah he did. He even said Muhammad Ali would fuck him up in a fight

I just realize Bruce Lee is a southpaw I don’t know if it’s the camera being inverted tho

Bro this was in the 60s. He was ahead of his time. Combat sports evolve man its a pretty basic concept. You didn’t have to write an essay on it 😂
@@ChL3g Yes and Bruce was an Actor not a Fighter, also very basic

To the people that cannot think with common sense and keep asking and comparing this to today's MMA. This is 40 some years ago, this is more about self defense, street fighting, etc. MMA is a sport where you must train to the max as your opponent does too. Stop making the comparison, because Bruce Lee was not training to compete in MMA. It's like saying, so Bruce Lee was using weight for strength training but can he lift as much weight as Arnold Schwarzenegger?
And people have the guts to say “he was just an actor”
@PockyLove he didnt create mma 🤣
@PockyLove dana can say all he wants doesnt make it true lees fan base is massive so ofcourse he will say this stuff hes a business man, also mixing martial arts was around since ancient Greece during pankration lol also gracie was the one who put it on the line in early days of ufc to show the need more than striking. Bruce lee was forward thinking and talked alot while gracie showed alot. You can call him the "father" but literally didnt create mma
@PockyLove wrong again youre gona have to do better than that, pankration in ancient greece literally mixed boxing, wrestling and even submissions it is by definition mma! Also in the early 1900s vale tudo was a combination off martial arts bruce lee had no influence on this and on top of that striking mainly boxing was thought to be the most efficient martial art until royce gracie stepped infront of the world and proved a solid foundation of bjj will overcome striking.
Bruce Lee is the one in black
Wow he moved like Mayweather
2:05
Sure you noticed too how his rear foot is already rotated well before he throws the kick. In fact, he keeps the rear leg rotated quite often...
Good job kiddo. Keep up the training.
@@TheDaggwood thanks
I trained j k d with reputable Instructors for 4 years. Then I went to a thai boxing gym with a friend and got the bricks beaten off of me. I switched to thai boxing and never looked back
жаль с ним нельзя посмотреть норм бои
Still better than the shit they do at the Olympics which is just a crowd at a dojo
I think he was the one with the straps
i wish i couldu meet u
How would prime Romero go against Bruce Lee in his prime?
bruce lee was smaller and romero has far more knowledge because of the time perioud
@@idurisu930 Having more doesn't always make you better, though.
@@echelon2k8 well romero experience and hes really a legitimate fighter unlike bruce lee
Lol Romero would literally kill bruce lee
And this is in the 60's .... Just sayn
Bruce v tomato can
Bruce Lee forever rest in piece Master Lee
Not 100% certain whether Taky or Dan went first but my guess is that Taky was the first opponent and Dan the second one.
It was Dan then James Lee

Could defeat Muhammad Ali.
Thoughts?
i wonder how bruce would do in a MMA cage fight now adays
Miker biker seeing as theres no footage of him fighting he would likely get destroyed in the octogon
@@dk-ie2dd there is look it up
@@mikerbiker4520 no there isnt. If youre talking about demonstrations with students.....thats not fighting
@@dk-ie2dd type the search bar Bruce lee sparring
@@mikerbiker4520 sure just did all that came up was a demonstration with a student in full protective gear. So there was no fight footage
3:34 my tears dropped here 😢. Because that kick was so iconic. I knew that was bruce lee when I saw the kick. I doubted this was bruce lee but the moment I saw the kick gesture it was true what they say they had to slow down the camera for us to see his kicks. And bruce Lee's stands of fighting is also being use by CONNOR MCGREGOR and Connor demonstrated in the mma that it works
You're a weirdo
Bruce Lee always trash talked point karate, but his style is very point fighting heavy.
Who is the guy he's sparring? This is kinda lame
Bruce lee tournament too fast one inch punch
This is not a real fight, it is a sparring session, one light contact and then stopping. In a real fight, the fight continues until one is stop or knocked out cold, furthermore the fighters don't have any protection only a gum mouth piece.
Opponent don't look so good. I wonder how good Bruce really was in a real fight with like a top boxer or mma fighter...
It's a spar. All kicks and punches are done for learning/ demoing practice. Yall need to stop with the MMA boxer shit. It's annoying as fuck. All you're missing is the "Muay Thai" clause. That shit is annoying too. Would Lee win against modern MMA fighters if you raised him out the dead right now? No. If he lived and progressed and kept developing his skills to fight in the cage: Yes. He was THE MMA practitioner before MMA.
@@blockobutter I can care less what annoys you if it's that annoying you shouldn't of responded. As stated no one knows how good he was really or who he could beat and never will.
@@fredfred7229 You dense ape brain. I can reply to you whether you care or not and whether the FUCK I want to or not.
@@blockobutter lmao!!! You really got on here to act tough because someone questioning your idol... Get yo lame ass on because you sound dumb on here with your cooder bleeding because you hurt. News flash he's just an actor who would never pay attention to a clown like you if he was alive.
@Choco4 - Brawl Stars you sound ridiculous one punch in the face could change all that. Dudes act different when ya brain rattled. Fact is nobody will ever know who Bruce would be if he got punched. Of course he looked like a perfect fighter he's acting, it's rehearsed and he's not getting hit so it's no resistance. But try telling that to people who worship someone is like talking to a wall.
Compared to modern martial artists this very rudimentary stuff. Bruce looks slow I'm not sure if it is the gear he's wearing or what. He waste so much movement and yet he has no head movement at all. They just move so slow it's like watching a women's MMA match lol.
Bruce lee don't believe in style
Bruce Lee fights in Amateur difficulty
Omg his opponents are acting, watch the hole video to his opponents, 🤭🤭🤭
Nah
