ABOUT JURASSIC WORLD: EVOLUTION
It's here, a game 65 million years in the making. Jurassic World: Evolution will let us take control of our own Jurassic Parks in a way never seen before, with a huge range of 42+ dinosaurs including old favourites like the Velociraptor and new monstrous beasts like the Indominus Rex, it's sure to get messy by the end. In this playthrough of Jurassic World Evolution we will complete every mission and 5 star all 5 of The Five Deaths, or just watch as a Spinosaurus eats my guests whole, either or really.

@@tny1757 thx. I love the T. Rex! Jungle Ceratosaurus and woodland Triceratops are ok, what does Frontier have against Velociraptors that they keep getting such boring skins?
I wish that carnivores could target creatures threw fences and just stare at them or guest through the gate and randomly attack the fence once in a while

Use the comfort in order to adjust your bigger Carnivores so that they can be easier to manage.
I know I'm late with this but I just thought of something
Does resilience change the venom effects with troodon like for example a dinosaur with higher resilience would recover quicker or take a longer time to be damaged by it
Another could be size of dinosaur a struthiomimus for instance would it die quicker than a parasaurolophus or a raptor if classification counts into it
And finally the indoraptor since it's a hybrid my minds kind of telling me it might take either more damage since it isn't a natural creature or it could maybe be more immune to the venom somehow or maybe it doesn't even have a effect at all
Hybrids in general have a low lifespan and resiliance iirc, so I'd expect it to be (very) relatively weaker to it (that is, if troodon venom is affected by that stat)
That seems like a surprisingly close call, but we believe in you, BIS!

For future reference, you should know you can change the time of day in challenge mode @BestInSlot by going into settings and in gameplay at the bottom is the Day/Night/Dusk options for time as well as Day/Night cycle.

Did this a couple of days ago! it's a tricky achievement. it helps to have the carnivores pack because the hardest part is in the beginning and u get 2 carnivores with that pack instead of just one. The Cerat and the proceratosaurus. All comes down to abit of luck with the missions and also the first thing to research is to your fossil Centre. Especially so you get more ambers to sell + the herbivore fossils.
Reminds me of the tyrannasaur,s i had on the normal pena i had two once they kept breaking out when i was doing contracts kept smashing the wall as long as those dinos stay comfortable bestinslot will find a way

Thx for giving me a idea how to do this. Managed to do it in under 2:30 with 3 cera 12 dilos 14 troodons 2 barys and 6 raptors as dicked out as I could.
i would enjoy seeing you re-do these challenges using the Jurassic Park era.. mostly because theres the one food building, the one shopping, and no worries about the transportation rating.. wonder how quick you can get it to 5 star.. you dont need to worry about having a starting point with the monorail arrival point since you can place the heliport anywhere and only one size power plant..

one thing ive noticed is that during incubation once the process reaches 51% the dino will make the full incubation even if the viability is below 100% just a tip ive noticed
Your fears about your first Ceratosaurus failing to incubate shouldn't actually be an issue as far as I'm aware. I've come to the conclusion the game will actually auto-complete the first dinosaur of a given species no matter what. (Granted I haven't tried modding one all the way into negative viability, but I have modded them really low and never had them fail.) I tried using this to my advantage in a challenge mode by making sure each first dinosaur of a species was modded for maximum rating I could give it before I released it.
Idk if this is new but when placing a path you can see where and what you place the curve and all but idk if you can see through trees

a tip for anyone that is trying to do this challenge, large carnivores with 70% off confort never will try to break out, even spinosaurus will be chill in storms, but small carnivores will be very angry faster and WILL try to break out, every single one.
so you can use low fences on large carnivores but wen you get a small carnivore get the best fence you can, because they are the challenge in this challenge mode.

I have saved before i get contracts, meaning when I am at 2/3 contacts... If I get one that is bad, I reload the last save till I get a good one, just wasting some loading time but better than money at the start! Also, I have not tested this but I think the viability of the dinosaur is determined when you start incubation.
BestInSloth, shooting darts yourself aren’t free. If you look at the money at the bottom, they cost 5,000$ each.
I’m probably the minority here but I really like islã pena , even though it is restricting due to space. It’s my favorite island. I like the challenge of making your park in a tiny space and it forces you to get creative. It’s a fun challenge I think.
You should do a park with completely circular fences, with all of the buildings placed in a circle around one of the enclosures. Just for something different!

I had a LOT of trouble my first time doing Isla Pena story mode, because I released an Indominus as my first dino, never reloaded a save
One thing I always try to do is tranquilize any dinosaur that can’t handle a storm to keep their comfort up. Finally finished Jurassic matenceros with a T.rex in the weakest fence. But storm notifications are horrible, they need to make it more obvious, like make it red or have a storm symbol next to it.
Where can I find the pictures of the new skins?

I did this challenge and it took me 6:06 hours when the par time is 3 ( also I found out that car chars can have 2 and so can metrics and Carlos)
If you don’t have the carnivore dinosaur pack then Ceratosaurus is the only carnivore available to you. If you do have the Carnivore Dinosaur Pack then Proceratosaurus is also Ava libel to you IF you place a research center!
As stated before Baryonyx is an early carnivore you can make

I managed to get the Hard mode under 4 hours on my first go at it.

You do want to get to 100% fast, but the first dinosaur is coded so it NEVER FAILS.
It would be cool if When carnivores eat other Dinosaurs when dead their skeleton shows and You can Send them for Decoration!

I know that this may be an odd request, and may be counter to the purpose of enjoying challenge mode, but as I have very little free time and am trying to get all the alt skins, is there any checklist for five staring each island on Jurassic difficulty as fast as possible? I am trying to finish up my thesis proposal work in vertibrate paleontology and get the skins just to wrap up the game to have them in sandbox mode. You seem to understand the management aspect a lot better than I do and hope my request is not taken as an insult to the work you did in your video.

You mean the herbivore fossils? I guess per the challenge rules, the second you release a herbivore you failed (even if you were not intending on keeping it in your park).
I just completed Pena on Jurassic with only Carnivores, it actually is not only very possible, but also a very good strategy.

@Joaquín Zabalegui I wish I could just show you my gameplay, it took me about 9 hours, but I bet I could do faster.
Strategy:
**Make sure to only put power plants in the entrance part of the map and nothing else except maybe some guest stuff later on**
Start immediately like Bestinslot does, but put all of your operations buildings in the small little out cove space that points out toward the entrance of the park. First go with expedition center and then fossil center (no research that’s a waste of money and time). Then make the first exhibit with a hatchery blocked off so that you can use it to birth dinosaurs and ship them to other parts of the island.
Similar to how BestInSlot does his version of the first exhibit, I’d do it in the same place just make it as small as possible so that you can fit at least 3 enclosures. Start with Ceratosaurus (of course) and make 3 of them eventually and save as often as possible because:
A: Say you get a bad contract, reload the save and it resets the contract until you get good ones.
B: Save before storms (storm defense stations tell you early that a storm is coming), if you do that you can reload whenever a storm hits and say it is a tornado/twister, you have a chance to reload and change it to a normal storm (even if it doesn’t change, it will also change where the twister starts so you can get better locations where it hits almost nothing).
With dinosaurs I put them in order I get them, so here’s how it went for me:
1: Ceratosaurus (3) + Dilphosaurus (12)
2: Baryonix (2) + Velociraptor (what never the max number is)
(Leave room on this part of the island for another exhibit later, but for now move on to the bigger half down the island with the monorail)
3: Troodons (14 *as a side note remember to start with 4) + T-Rex (I forgot to mention this method almost requires DLC since there are some good Carnivores in the DLCs)
4: Suchomimus (2) + Deinonychus (whatever their max is)
5: Giganosaurus (2) + Troodons (I did them again because they are cheap, but any small carnivore works)
6: Now go back to the space with Ceratosaurus and Baryonix, add another exhibit with
Carnotorus (2) + Deinonychus (as many as you need 3 or more)
Then I ran out of space so once I finished getting 100% genomes of each carnivore (and had a huge surplus of money), I destroyed the operations except for ACU and Ranger station (which I didn’t put in the little out cove area in the first place) and put two Spinosaurus’, an Alosaurus, and the Metricantosaurus in and made sure none died with a ranger team trapped inside healing them when they fight. Eventually I reach five stars once they settled in with some Deinonychus also.
Also I did this using it only aggressive instincts 1 for each dinosaur to save money, so you could upgrade that trait to be faster than me, but I only used aggressive instincts 1 the entire way through. Also I didn’t waste money on hybrids.
One last tip, make sure to leave room for buildings and paths and use monorail once you save enough to afford. (For saving always make sure you would have about 1 million left over after buying something to have cash to fallback on).
Thanks...my only DLC is the Deluxe dinos, so no Troodon or Carcharodontosaurus...still gonna try!
Should I hatch Ceratosaurus as soon as I get a viable 50% genome, or should I wait to 100% for extra rating, like BiS here?
Also, when is a good time to build a research center to get Aggressive instincts 1.0? Do I wait after the first Ceratosaurus, before going for another species...?
@Joaquín Zabalegui Wait until 100% it is definitely the only way to do it (cause not only is it better rating but has 100% chance of success instead of 50% without waiting).
First it goes without saying start with power station at the entrance, then make a path all the way to the out cove I mentioned.
When I started, I did expedition center and fossil center (in that order to start the expedition). Once those were made I immediately made the hatchery with an enclosure, and from there you wait for 100% Ceratosaurus (also do some contracts to help get money).
I got the research station when I lucked out and received a contract to build it, but I’d say once you can afford it after the second or third Ceratosaurus do it. I did it after the third because by that point I got 1 Star and was able to send out expeditions for other carnivores. Ever since the first three Ceratosaurus’ I had every dinosaur with aggressive instincts 1 (each dinosaur has 1-3 attack genes for it so I maxed it out for each of them).

These are the dinosaurs I had in that order, but I never had Metriacanthosaurus (1-2) because I forgot about it and at that point didn’t research or create it. I also don’t have the Cretaceous DLC so Carcharodobtosaurus wasn’t used.
So the only dinosaur I used that you can’t use is Troodons which I used with the T-Rex and Giganotosaurus enclosures. Deinonychus were in Suchomimus and Spinosaurus. Finally Dilophosaurus were in Ceratosaurus and Carnotaurus enclosures. In the end I deleted the research and other operations buildings except for ACU and ranger stations and put 2 Spinosaurus’ and the Allosaurus with Deinonychus (keeping the large carnivores alive with a ranger team inside the enclosure and I also mistakenly made 2 Allosaurus’ so I made them fight to determine a victor for rating).
Edit: forgot about Velociraptor which was only in Baryonix enclosure.

I know they have been having technical difficulties with PlayStation network and the update, but haven’t heard any update on what’s happening. I heard a rumour that PlayStation store doesn’t do updates until tuesdays and frontier announced late but don’t know how much truth is in that

darthslather 89 press pause, go to Settings, go to Gameplay, go down and lighting should be there. For a while it didn’t appear on my game for whatever but it works for me now. I hope this helps! :)
Ceratosauruses are true dicks and a pain in the arse. I am not a big fan. But if you want to see fights, they are the go-to Dino for such fun. They don't know their own size and will fight with anything larger than they are, and often win.

I've been trying this challenge, but it has insanely slow progress, do you know if you can use small carnivores
Also, it's just such a pain when you get a mission that involves a herbivore

I managed to beat this a little bit ago on jurassic but let me tell you, it took almost 11 hours of near constant pain and suffering and a LOT of loading saves. Its possible but I do not recommend it

Best in slot don't waste money on facility,s when breeding the first dinosaur on Pena or you,'ll be in the storm's lol later just add viewing gallery then the humans will come to see cerato powerstation, rangerstation,airpad,expedition and fossil centre then research storm towers ooh add emergency shelters you can get the other stuff when their,s enough money add viewing galleries humans love viewing gallery's just leave room for restaurants and things later but I recommend building the enclosure first after powerstation and next to it

Oh I’m so pissed...super easy challenge but of course right as soon as I’m about to win it (waiting for spino to hatch) a damn tornado comes through and ruins everything and out of nowhere, My money tanks and I quickly scramble to get money and I went positive after taking a few photos but apparently just a millisecond too late because it said I failed due to no money even though I see the money right there on my screen.
What are all of the new skins?

I tried to do Jurassic difficulty with carnivores only. OMG. I restarted 5 times and never got past releasing one ceratosaur before the Hammond fee made sure I never actually MADE any money. I'll be curious to know if anyone managed it.

Why avoid the big carnivores? with the new social genes you can have 2 or more t-rexes, all maxed out and get a *massive* rating bonus. plus they're not that hard to keep on pena.
It's not just about pure rating, it's about rating vs the money required. The big carnivores not only take up more space but they require expensive genes, hatchery upgrades (if you want social genes) and more expensive fencing.
That's true to a point, on medium it's (in my experience) still rather easy to start snowballing money, especially once you get to around 3 stars. And they don't need *that* much space, the enclosure that's ready on the map in the campaign is rather small but it's a perfect fit for a t-rex if you kill a couple of the trees
Gigantasaurs is not to peky and crcaradontasaurs is not peky at all u are playing medium difficulty u can put large carnivores

@@spyro8844 I know that, now! But, I had originally thought that, since I had the deluxe edition, I would just get it(free with the update)! I was wrong! & I bought it! I came to realize that once you buy the game(any edition), you'll have to buy each & every new packs & DLCs if I want them!
