Let's build Jurassic Park! Using the latest DLC - the Return To Jurassic Park pack - we'll be able to use classic fences, buildings and dinosaurs to build Jurassic Park as accurately as possible. Jurassic Park in Jurassic World: Evolution come to life, because, well, life finds a way.

For anyone wanting to do this: I'd personally recommend starting from the middle claw-shaped exhibit and then working out from there. I think that makes it a lot easier to get right, that's how I did it.

I did as well (as he mentions in the video) and I've done a full park build series as well as a speed build version. Unfortunately, even Nublar 1993 isn't big enough to get everything quite right. Curious to see what you're gonna make of it!

@@kacperr9924 I don't think so, the only thing they really fucked up with was the sizes of the maps (Except for Pena, I think that one was actually pretty good for the island).
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim Honestly, fuck restrictions, I don't get it why we can't build on mountains or beach, it's really unnecessary and annoying. Well I guess that's a thing when your rush the game.
@@kacperr9924 Wasn't fully Frontier's fault though. Universal pressured them to release the game alongside Fallen Kingdom and so they had to rush it out and patch in things later (herding, sleeping to name two).
The raptors did have their own proper paddock. However, after the big one ‘killed all but two of the others’, she was moved to the pen (which is what we see at the beginning of the first film). Presumably the other 2 were moved separately before/after. It’s been confirmed that the broken eggshells that Grant and the kids find we’re raptor eggs, meaning that they were in the raptor paddock at that point. This means that the raptors found a way to breed before some were killed by the big one and the remainder were moved to the pen. There are also maps knocking around showing one of the central paddocks (I think the odd-shaped one) with a raptor logo. Basically, the raptors DID have their own paddock in the main section of the park.
^When Nedry turns off the power, you can see the central paddock light up on Ray Arnold's monitor when the fences are disarming and it says "Raptor Paddock". Grant and the kids also find the Raptor eggs somewhere in that area

Would you ever consider re-doing your series where you tried to capture moments scene by scene, now that we have the new pieces? Because I feel like getting an "accurate" map layout is one project, whereas capturing the exhibits and scenery is another. Some of the scenes just aren't going to feel quite right at this scale... All the same, I'm excited to see what you do with this series!
(I'd also love to see a Botanical Garden style build with the JP-era buildings, and the beautiful redwoods.... Another future series maybe?)
My Suggestion for the Tour and the Service Roads.
Tour: Run both of the Tour routes alongside each other and have one turn off at the Fork. It won't look EXACTLY like in the film, but it's a gameplay limitation.
Service Roads: Use the Cheap Path (It looks a tiny bit like a dirt road) and have the ends be at the Paddock Gates.
I do believe that the red line represents the perimeter fencing, the 'paddocks' are more likely to be sectors of the park instead of actual paddocks, so fences will exist within them. I believe in the case of the tyrannosaurus, and the gallimimus without question, the perimeter fences are used as paddock fencing.

Idea! For the service roads use the dirt tool instead of a actual path. You could use the tour track but the problem with that is you would have the center track that drives the tour.

I just finished my recreation of jurassic park and it's is the best park I've ever made. Thank you for the video series and inspiration.
BestinSlot there is a better map recreation which makes a lot more sense. It looks fairly similar to your but makes more sense with which Co dinosaurs go in which enclosure accurate to JP the game, movie and brochure. It also looks very confusing with many more lines, even thought it’s not.
Edit: Also the tour goes south and then east then up north and west. It shows the car going down slightly for a second in the film. I thinks it’s when Arnold says the headlights aren’t responding
i find this map always very helpfull. Its a bit messy with the lines representing all the roads but far more acurate once you see through it

I think part of the issue with the trex paddock sizing may be that small corridor like area in the gallimimus exhibit being to wide so it throws the dimensions off a bit
The main issue is you can't change the direction the tour vehicle starts from, meaning it is impossible for you to complete the tour without compromising sadly. I just have my tour going the wrong way around my park.
What actually happened with the raptors is that they WERE in the paddock, but they started attacking the fences once the big one was introduced. Due to safety concerns, she and the other two that survived (remember she killed the other 5) were temporarily moved to the housing pen, until appropriate structural changes had taken place to the paddock design.
Finally, i'm really excited for this.

There’s a lot of weirdly shaped exhibits but you did a pretty good job.
I would make the lower/southern region a bit thinner in the curvy pointy part since there’s so much space. Also the skinny bit of the Galli exhibit should be a little slimmer, which would help make the left hook looking exhibit under the rex exhibit look more accurate.
It might be worth be looking at other maps to see where other people have placed dinosaurs
Also there would be dividing fences running along tour roads, which is why some dinos appear to be in the same paddock
I think the brochure is what they were going to have it when they opened. Clearly they had animals in temp locations until opening. Like the velociraptor

Definitely check out the articles from the DPG about how many of each animal were on island at time of film. I have screenshots if you want em.
The raptor paddock is actually below the TREX paddock. They would transport them to the pen for feeding since they would attack the handlers in the paddock.
The spatial logic is a bigger work of fiction than the dinosaurs.

I have such a good recreation of 93 JP on my Xbox one I wish I could show you... I recreated Lost World Map, JP III Map and all the JW Era maps too from the film's actually. The abandoned parks are funnest to build though imo.
And yes it's pretty much impossible to fit the whole Island on Nublar 93 so I just focused on the East side of the map and had the visitor center on the far left of the map as you did.
I did have the raptor pen north of the visitor center because of size restraints... Mine is not a 100% accurate recreation but if you saw it you would understand.
It's more for driving through rather then aerial view.

I recently completed the RTJP DLC and now I am making the park into a relatively accurate mix of the film and novel versions of the park. It isn't based on any maps though because they don't make sense for the story.
In the novel the Helipad is in the hills and mountains area to the north they head south to the visitor centre past the Long necks so the Helipad would be near the Volcano's location not where the movie has it
the tour goes past the rex then to the trike, but they have to go back to the rex cause of the storm, so it goes dilo, rex, trike
That map you’re using is really inaccurate! It directly contradicts a satellite map you see in the film! If you want to see it, it’s an obvious image on the wiki’ Jurassic Park (Park) page.
Also, in the where you indicated an East dock was supposed some sort of port/marina thing. In Fallen Kingdom, the ‘historic’ East Dock is seen in the film satellite map to be next to the Triceratops paddock on your map
The only thing right in the map is the rex and trike paddock. There are way better more accurate maps out there

Just an idea, because I’ve done this because of Jurassic Park the game, put Compys in some of the Herbivore paddocks, give it a little character, also looking forward to seeing recreations of TLW and JP3 with this new content. I don’t expect them because you’ve already done it but I’d be happy to see it, keep doing what you’re doing, I appreciate all your effort.
The best map IMO is the one on ray Arnold’s computer when the fences are failing it tells you the official paddocks and what dinos are in them(a few are wrong on the map you’re using )

If you do the challenge mode on Sorna 93 you unlock the Parasaurolophus skin that matches the ones you see in Jurassic Park

If I actually remember correctly, they passed the t-Rex before the triceratops when they first put the goat in the enclosure. When it failed to show the first time they then went to the tric’s and when the storm was coming they (somehow) turned around back to the t-rex and got stuck

I think the Jungle Gallimimus and the Para skin you get from 93 Sorna challenge mode match their JP variants better than the base, IMO

I thought that claw looking paddock was the unused raptor paddock? Didn’t the computer say that’s what it was or am I completely misremembering it?
I really wish we could use literally the whole entire island in the sand box mode, it is my one must have. It would make things much easier in terms of spacing the animal's paddocks out so each dino have the right habitat and social requirements and what not. And especially for Jurassic World too. I would love to use have the resort and a few key attractions in a together but have everything especially spread across the island just like in the film.... do you think that one day the developers will give us that???
If I may offer a critique, I think you've made the west "arm" of the dilophosaurus paddock too wide. I think you gotta widen the Gallimimus paddock eastward, slimming out that section.

How do you do this, I mean, I have the returning to jurassic park dlc, and ik the other Isla nublar opend up, on the dlc I have no unlimited money, and not al the buildings you have, on the other island I have unlimited money but the only buildings I can build are the jurassic world buildings, so how do you do this, is it a mod or something??
It makes sense that you're basing your entire map on the built up part of Nublar, after all, your map isn't the entire island, there's all that unbuildable area.
Maybe you can separate the triceratops and metries using a combination of lights and redwoods, using the lights to break up the spots in the tree line for tourist's to see the dinosaurs
I think it's safe to say there is no cannon lay out for JP that makes sense

I play on ps4 and I have no idea how to do this? I know how to load up the island and all but I don’t know how to change the buildings from the 2017 to 1993 buildings and fences and Dino’s
You need the "return to jurassic park" dlc
I can understand the struggles you are facing with the map. The map you are using as reference is pretty well known, and is based on the map shown on the control room computer screen in the movie. However, in the movie ONLY 4 paddocks are given names: Brachiosaurus paddock, T-rex paddock, Triceratops and Gallimimus. The rest are 'reserve' paddocks. Whoever 'filled' in the gaps for whatever JP merchandise, simply chose a bunch of random carnivore names so that kids would be invested in it. That's why there are so many carnivore species and few herbivores in this 'official' map. The only herbivores in there are the ones that actually showed up in the movie. So to surmise, there is nothing really 'official' about this map.
My recommendation to anyone trying to recreate JP, is to not restrict themselves based on the map. Instead go for creating the look and feel of the paddocks as shown in the movie, and fill the gaps based on imagination. Like Henry Wu did with the dinosaurs genome
@6:25 Well to be fair, this is a series where a T. Rex could break out of it's exhibit then throw a car off of the cliff that just suddenly appeared in the exact same spot where the T. Rex initially broke out.

@@lukepennington3376 same here at first but i ended up watching it a second time just to see, But where the t.rex pushed them was exactly where the fence was already broken. Unless another part of the fence fell down too

@@persianking44 In the movie you can see what looks like a cliff/vegetation behind Grant and lex dangling off the edge, where the ground would have been level with the fence. The car thrown off the cliff is also quite a distance away from the other car, with the rex escaping in the middle.

Which base map was used for this?
I'm having trouble with my legitimate copy of JPOG, whenever I start the SimJP.exe a black box will appear for 5 seconds and then disappear and nothing will show up (In the task manager I can see SimJP.exe but I can't switch to or end the program.) I've looked everywhere for assistance but I can't fix it. I've tried compatibility and running it as an administrator but it doesn't work.
I’m desperate here so any help would be much appreciated

Isn't Hererasaurus considered a small carnivore? If so you would be able to place it in an enclosure with Triceratops with no issues. Small carnivores don't attack large armoured herbivores

This common is to mister bestinslot himself there was actually a raptor Paddock if you were call Robert Muldoon said that they were attacking the fences when the feeders came that's why they have to feed them like this with the crane into the specialized Paddock you see if you do a little research into the backlog of the lure you'll find out that the reason they created that specialized holding pen was because the Raptors we're too dangerous to showcase when they were trying to do a safety inspection of the park so in actuality and super ironically it was meant to be a major safety precaution during the preliminary tour until they could figure out how to Showcase them later but if you look on the map the weird Paddock that's like right in the middle that looks like Big Dipper that was the Raptor Paddock

The Aviary Dome in Jurassic world must have been the one they were going to have in jurassic park but it was not shown in the movie they decided to show the one on sorna instead for lost world in the novel the Aviary was on the river cruise as the river went through the dome between the dilophasaur paddock and The T Rex there was also a small waterfall between t rex and visitor centre and stegosaurus at the south of the Island also not shown in the movie just going off the park described in the novel and not the movie
