I have three journals this year. My bullet journal which covers my home life and daily journaling, my work journal which focuses on work stuff (go figure) and finally a health journal to track my workouts/macros/physical and mental feelings.
I really enjoy watching how you utilize your journal. It's aesthetic, but it's more focused on functionality. I never leave white space in my journal, but I think it's cool how you brought in design principles and allow white space to let your entries shine.
your journaling style is very different from mine but it still gives me a lot of inspiration and i love your videos + your aesthetic is just so good! also i love how you repurposed the TN, can't wait for some art journaling content! i've got a hobonichi family currently: weeks mega for keeping my life together, cousin for memory keeping and an a6 notebook for media journaling. hoping to stick with them for the rest of the year, but we'll see how that goes 😛
ooooh NICE, I love the hobonichi (I feel like I got a lot of inspo from the hobonichi layouts when I customized my bullet journal)! hahaha yessss art journalling content for the win!
I do not have a setup video but I do flip through it in a bunch of other video, I'd check out my 2022 journal system video since I go through it more in depth there :)
Using a Hobo Weeks mega as a planner/bujo (Lindsey Scribbles style!) and my Moomin edition TN as a journal at the moment. The TN has one insert for my reading journal and another one for regular journalling. Might switch to an A5 Leuchtturm as my journal once my TN insert is full though!
So nice you're fine now from covid! I'm currently using two notebooks, one for my planner and rapid log and the other for daily journal. It's nice to have as much room as I need to let it go everything inside my head, and also have some kind of structure to plan my week without thinking too much what spread to do, it's like a full vision of my week and in the next page it's blank so it's still kinda flexible and I'm happy to use these two in my routine.
Glad that you have fully recovered from COVID, I sure hope it wasn't too bad. I migrated to a new notebook for April in my bullet journal and decided to go small to an A6. I'm so surprised that I'm really loving it. I'm using a Wonderland 222 A6 notebook that has 365 pages of Tomoe River paper. I like is slightly better than the Stalogy because the grid is smaller and the pages are numbered. I'm finding that I really just need to log the things I do, create various task lists and then daily time track and write daily tasks/notes/experiences. I'm finding that I'm keeping my bullet journal mostly functional. It is heavy on the work side but the only personal things I'm keeping in it are more functional things like personal to dos and then some health tracking. My second notebook, I'm using a B6 Slim Nanami Cafe Ruled notebook for a journal. It is mostly brain dump journaling but also I have included some pictures when journaling about my day. I have a Mnemosyne B6 top spiral bound notebook that I'm using for work notes. I find that my work notes are so temporary and mostly to just help me process something in the moment. My permanent work notes need to be stored digitally, so this is why I was finding I didn't need an A5 anymore for my bullet journal. Also, I'm loving having the A6 open on my desk while I work and it doesn't take up much room. I have a few other journals for more memory keeping but those are more for my loved ones. However, I'm considering doing what you are doing with your A6 journal. I like the idea of it holding the memories of your year in one concise notebook and that way your bullet journal doesn't have to do that. I'm going to be thinking on that!!!!
Lovely video as always! You manage to get so much information across in a short video, and your style is always fun. Really enjoying seeing your more creative side through your art journal too!
What is a “commonplace” journal or book? I use a bullet journal, a stitching journal, a quilting journal, and just started a seed journal for my garden!!! Love journaling!!
I commonplace book is a notebook you can use for ideas, quotes, and even inspiration book passages and movie quotes. I was just using mine for quotes, before I converted it into a creative journal :) omg those sound like such fun journals!!
What journals are you using right now??
Using a Hobonichi Techo Original as my planner, a Kinbor a6 as a tarot journal and a pocket Leuchtturm for my Japanese self-study☺️

Absolutely loved this video! Do you have a dedicated video on how you set up your reading journal?
I do not have a setup video but I do flip through it in a bunch of other video, I'd check out my 2022 journal system video since I go through it more in depth there :)

That sounds amazing Laura 😍
I always enjoy your setups🤍 It's so minimal, which is something I just cannot achieve haha but I still love seeing it!
hahaha to each their own, my attempts to be maximalist with my journal always end in chaos lol

I love how you separate your notes based on permanence, so genius Karen!! Yessss having one book for memories is such a game changer!!
Lovely video as always! You manage to get so much information across in a short video, and your style is always fun. Really enjoying seeing your more creative side through your art journal too!
