Seen these at WA st Total Wine, even a cask strength, but didn't buy at the price. I have 1910 and 1920, already known commodities, but curious if you match up Bondstone to those and maybe NULU and EC Toasted.
You should do a blind of this against Woodford Double Oaked and 1910. I also had a taste of this at Total Wine in my travels for work. I thought this was a great sip and bought one as well.
Apparently bondstone is a collab from on of brown foremans old master distillers and wilderness trail, before wilderness trail was bought by campri, so its they will never produce again.
I have the Bondstone cask strength and it's decent. Drinks little like Ross&squib Single barrel, with a high rye kick and thinner finish. One of the TW associates says that it's sourced from Bardstown.
I do believe it's one of their house brands, com but it doesn't come across as wilderness Trail, even though I know in the past, they've used them. My guess would be Barton.
I was told it was a collab from an ex brown foreman master distiller that went on his own, his distiller is next to wilderness trail, so they did a collab and thats where the bondstone brand came from. It was before wilderness trail was bought by campari. Now that campari owns wilderness trail, they put an end to the collabs and sourcing, so its pretty much a one and done brand. Buy a back up and dont open it. May be worth millions some day lol jk.
I have the Bondstone Cask Strength and on the palate I get sports card bubble gum or Bazooka Joe. I believe it's sourced from Barton. This bottle sounds interesting though.
That's what I was thinking, glad that you enjoyed the cast strength… I'll have to try to pick up some more of this next time I'm near a total Wine that sells liquor
In theory, yes, but they don't call it a triple oak. This is the first one I've ever seen branded as a triple which is honestly kind of silly and why I had to buy the bottle
I would tend to agree that things have gotten a little out of hand on the finishing side of things. With this triple oak, I couldn't pass it up though for the gimmick.
Appreciate the feedback, but I'd like to find out why you feel this is Clickbait? We try hard to not use clickbaity titles, though we do want to intrigue people to click on the videos.
@@WhiskeyRow the title of the video is very generic - so you have to click on it in order to see what you’re reviewing. If you would’ve said “ such and such a whiskey - good or not?” then I could’ve chose to click on it or not. Maybe not the true definition of Clickbait but my point is that the title was too vague and it required me to click on it to see what you were reviewing. Just trying to provide some honest feedback. Otherwise I enjoy your channel and you two do a great job.
Sounds like a good bottle! Thanks for the review
Thanks for watching!
It's always nice to crack a bottle you've never tried before and be suprised by it!
Tucson is my hometown!
Picked up this bottle about two months ago and it was a complete shocker. The label looks like crap, but the juice inside is phenomenal.

I’m going to have to look for it at south hill store

My best bottle may be a 12 yo Macallan Triple Cask 700ml bottle. Light peat. Blows me away with an enjoyable overall integrated rich experience
Interesting, I've never had one of those. It sounds amazing in what I have to to keep my eye out for.
Have never seen it, but who knows 🥃😎
Sorry for your loss David
Thank you very much, appreciate that
Just Google the bottled in location, that should guide you where it’s from. 😁 Cheers!
Cheers
It’s in Maryland, really good pour

Sometimes you gotta roll the dice! Take a chance!
I sampled it at total wine a few weeks ago...pretty good...its exclusive to total wine
I was thinking it was an exclusive, but you have confirmed it. Thank you!
you are welcome...I found out from the employee that was providing me the samples...the double oaked was pretty good too@@WhiskeyRow
I just picked up a bottle....happy whiskey Wednesday@@WhiskeyRow
If you haven't been to Batch in downtown Tucson, you should check it out. They have hundreds of different bottles.
Yes, we actually went there on Tuesday night and it was awesome
If it is a house bourbon of Total Wine, chances are it is IJW that is contract distilled at Wilderness Trail.

Skipping this one and looking for something quadruple oaked. Cheers David!
I think the quadruple will be just the right amount of oak. I feel like anything less than quadruple at this point is a letdown.
@@WhiskeyRow 😂
When in Arizona got to check out the Trevor’s Liquor stores.
Next time I go, I'll definitely have to check them on the list

I have seen where Woodford's offers a Double Double oaked. Would this not be the same idea?
In theory, yes, but they don't call it a triple oak. This is the first one I've ever seen branded as a triple which is honestly kind of silly and why I had to buy the bottle
I thought there was a barrel shortage 😂
But does Jamie like it??
She did like it, but not as much as 1910 or Woodford double
Triple oaked is their best, the rest arent worth it
Glad to know I picked the right one, lol
Hm... I barely like double-oaked. 1920 is ok, but not a favorite. Personally, I'm over finished bourbons.
I would tend to agree that things have gotten a little out of hand on the finishing side of things. With this triple oak, I couldn't pass it up though for the gimmick.
You guys are better than this…click bait!
Think if it were “click bait” there maybe more views😂 Enjoy the content Dave!

@@WhiskeyRowdont listen to the trolls. There is absolutely nothing clickbait about it. Keep doing what you're doing bud.
Not click bait. Zero percent. 😊
