I can't understand why anyone would give a thumbs down on this video. If it was not for people like Kim people like myself would never progress and learn to stay in one place and wait for the light to get the correct composition and understand getting into the zone.
After three years I am starting to understand when photographer's say you will get the image in your mind what you want when you go out. It's taken it's time but I am getting there slowly. Kim please keep up the teaching and explaining enjoying the experience. You are an inspiration to a lot of amateurs out there.

You could certainly see how your second images had the edge with the lighting , loved the tutorial thank you Kim

Very good point about waiting for the difference of golden hour. Because of the distance I have to travel to get to the bays and the Gulf of Mexico I check my golden hour app for that location to see where, when and quality of the sunset first. I leave early knowing where the sun will be setting and spend half of the day looking for a good location to setup. When sunset comes I am pointed in the correct direction with my image framed and ready to shoot. Great video, again I could listen to that beautiful Scottish accent all day. Stay safe...Fred Fleming.

A great vid. Getting to the scene early is key & the only thing better than that is being able to revisit multiple times for re-shoots. In my opinion, you packed up your camera about 45 min to early. Happy shooting.

I'm watching this Kim, and feeling so envious of you right now, and particularly whereabouts you are! I know we've all been 'in the same boat' as it were as far as the lockdown is concerned but watching this is just making me want to get out and about with my camera all the more. It also doesn't help that not only have I not left the immediate area of where I live for three months, I've also just recently acquired a 'new' camera and lens! Oh well! Soon I hope! XX

    Stunning location Kim.
I agree, I went out last night to try to capture the full moon. Due to weather the camera never made it out of the bag, but I was out for 3 hours just soaking it all in 👍🏻

Really enjoyed this! So insightful and a wonderful description of the process in creating beautiful images. A lot of folk don’t seem to realise that the entire experience and process is crucial to getting an image that you’re happy with and also enjoy. 😊👍🏻

That was stunningly beautiful kim I also like espeshialy to photograph sun sets and how to wait for the last minute to get that spectacular image .In Gibraltar we can see Africa and what a site when the sun starts to set all along the bay and town across the Mediterranean sea ,its like being in contact with your spiritual self.

What a lovely video. Lovely presentation and really inspiring. As a question, what if you moved the camera down a bit, closer to the ground, would that of been any better as a composition.
Your enthusiasm came through for your love of nature and the sea landscapes. Look forward to your next video.

Thank you Roy - I did try this but the lower I went to the ground, the less of the leading line, seaweed and patterns in the rock was visible. Thanks for the suggestion though :)

I think you rushed away to get the sunset effect on that rock featured towards the end of this video. But what a sunset in your silhouette as you chucked on your pack back while looking over the bay. Enjoying your videos / presentations. Best - D

I agree with the general consent, spend some time with the area. Ease into the final shot. Headless chickens running around is just annoying to everyone else and a waste of time for you. Heck even wait six months for the lighting to change.

Lovely pictures (sort of :) )and great locations. The only issue I have is the use of the ND filter.
I have an intense dislike of photos taken using an ND filter, one reason I don't by photography magazines. They are full of them.
