Good to hear about this. Just one question though. You mentioned a two year compulsory work commitment in Wales. Does that mean that the repayments you mentioned kick in only if a candidate after her studies, is not willing to work in Wales, or leaves Wales straight after studies? Is there any repayments due if the candidate works in Wales for the stipulated period and then perhaps leaves Wales?
@tphilipmulackal_2064 That is correct- you don't need to pay if the candidate works in Wales for a two-year period and then leaves Wales. The repayment only applies to those who leaves Wales without serving the two-year term.
It’s not the repayment the university mentioned sum of £200-£2500 towards the study .It may or may not be the amount they mentioned.J have given you the detail of the university .The students who are recruited from India is suffering and the UK government is chasing them one after another .They give so much hope to these poor students but it’s not the reality .
@jismariyagigi8599. A 1000 pound per year living cost allowance is provided as part of the NHS Bursary. The rest needs to be covered by the student, including the accommodation. Generally, you can cover these costs by working 20 hr a week or full-time during the break. However, some universities also provide accommodation scholarships. I have contacted the university directly regarding this and received e mail also spoke to them. According to that you need to sign a contract for 2 years to work with them as your eligibility criteria. All I have to say please contact university directly not the money making agents like what’s happening currently with care workers recruitment . It’s not clear that the tuition fees towards each course is fully supported or not .There’s a grant of £2000-£2500 is that’s what or the full tuition fees . Intellectually if you think why do they give the full tuition fees for international students instead of free course for the in land students ? There used to be tuition fees free for professional course such as Nursing . Whatever it is don’t go through agents and misunderstand the terms instead get a clear first hand information from university itself Good luck
@user-db9es4db7d: You have done the right thing by contacting the university itself. As stated in the video and as per HEIW, admission to this course is solely the responsibility of individual universities. They will choose tor provide the bursary accordingly. From your comment it is not clear which university is you are referring here. The video never SAID that all 6 welsh universities will provide free nursing. @user-ui3yi2cs8w, Yes, 20 hr per 20-hour-per-week part-time job can be performed during term time, and you can work full-time during half term and holidays. Generally, this will be enough to cover living costs, depending on the person. Currently, the hourly rate is £9.50 per hour for workers aged 23 and over and £9.18 per hour for workers aged 21 - 22. So you can do the maths. Thanks
