I agree. I'm in a relationship, and I know that as introverts we do need time to recharge that sometimes doesn't involve interacting with the other person. We are in a long-distance relationship. When we’re apart we message intermittently during the day or play video games in the afternoons. When we are together we do fun things during daylight, but we always allow time to recharge where we may be sitting next to each other but we’re watching a movie or playing separate video games. We know that we’re there for each other, and that's enough to make memories even while we're not necessarily interacting. Overall, it's important to recharge your social meter, even when you're with people you love.
The third story. The OP should have left after a day of that nonsense and go to a hotel or motel to unwind and do the things he likes. If his wife follows him all the way there and does the same song and dance then I would be worried for the OP.
I 100% agree. To make more of a point though, I'd stay for the first two days (so she can't pull the “it was just one day, you're overreacting” card) and then I'd mention that I was going somewhere if I couldn't get any rest. I then would have gotten the hotel or gone to see nearby family. After coming back, it's obvious that she pries into his business and would be questioning him why he left. My husbands me time is what he calls “tinkering” around on his truck, changing the oil, break pads, rotating his tires etc. when he’s really tired, I can tell, I tell him to just relax, I got the kids, I got everything that needs to be done, he can just kick back & watch TWD (his fav show even thought we’ve seen it 100x’s).

This reminds me of my job. I take a vacation time every year. Im always out of state. One manager called me and said i needed to come in theyre short staff. I said im out of state. They said get back here asap. I said so youll pay for my trip back. They said no why wpuld they. I hung up and temporary blocked them. Another time a manager said they scheduled me on my vacation just in case i would change my mind and come back early. I took a month because i was dealing with a family death and moving. Nevwr showed up. Did get asked though why. I knew anything i said they would just threaten to write me up for not showing ao i said my religion states we grieve for 30 days and i wasnt wrong. And state technically for those 30 days i was to follow the rules of it and follow what needed to be done. He left me alone. And i do follow but i dont grieve in each step. Lily shared that she thought they were getting closer and that she likes him to said mutual friend, and then she found out. Then she sees them together on multiple occasions in the work place. Story 2: the title for this reminds me of what happened to me with my now second ex girlfriend who I was with several years ago. She tried to guilt me into coming home early from a vacation I was on with my Parents and my brother. For the record we were on a cruise so even if I wanted to come home I wouldn’t be able to. When I told her I was unable to come home she told me that if I didn’t come home immediately she would have her “ex boyfriends” who were on the same cruise as me beat me up. That was the final straw for me and I told my mom who in turn contacted my then girlfriend’s dad and they agreed that she and I should break up. My ex girlfriend tried to guilt me into not breaking up with her and I told her that would not be happening.
I don't get harassed by Karen's at the airport I just get stopped at security all.the time, got flagged this year for Christmas and they found gunpowder traces on my bags and I got flagged for explosives few hours later I was in the clear but unfortunately had to pay for a new flight which was much more expensive then I bad originally paid for and unfortunately didn't get any compensation

I want to give my commentary on story 4. I think all three are at fault. The OP is at fault for not talking to his wife when she mentioned that one of her friends told her that he and Lily were close. He should have explained that him and Lily had nothing going on and were just co-workers. Wife is also at fault for believing her friend more than her own husband AND jumping to conclusions when she just saw the OP and Lily laughing together and finally Lily is at fault for thinking she and OP grew close together when they clearly didn't.
this is probably the first time I have sided with the Karen. In story one it is never specified whether she answered the kids question, and immediately resorts to shooing the kid away. Also, yes, I do understand shes had an experience like this before, but the fact that you asked security to shoo a KID away just makes me feel icky. And from the Karen's point of view, her kid asked a question and was essentially bullied for doing so. What I do not condone though is that reaction from the Karen. She called him a man-baby, but the way she reacted made herself not so different from that insult.
This is probably not the place to ask, but I've never played any of the Castlevanias. I've played and enjoyed every metroid as well as many other metroidvanias... should I give castlevania a try if I get the chance?
For the last story, I feel like OP is a liiiittle bit of wrong. Not a jerk, not an ass, just he made one mistake. He didn’t tell Lily to leave him alone or explain things so they’re all on the same page. It sounds like he never really cleared things up with his wife. Story 3 - you need to do your share of household chores before straight up saying you have a demanding job. You did not even mention whether yr wife has a demanding job. This reminds me of my job. I take a vacation time every year. Im always out of state. One manager called me and said i needed to come in theyre short staff. I said im out of state. They said get back here asap. I said so youll pay for my trip back. They said no why wpuld they. I hung up and temporary blocked them. Another time a manager said they scheduled me on my vacation just in case i would change my mind and come back early. I took a month because i was dealing with a family death and moving. Nevwr showed up. Did get asked though why. I knew anything i said they would just threaten to write me up for not showing ao i said my religion states we grieve for 30 days and i wasnt wrong. And state technically for those 30 days i was to follow the rules of it and follow what needed to be done. He left me alone. And i do follow but i dont grieve in each step. Im usually all over the place and just want to be left alone. And guess what when i got back after this nonsense and me telling them can i just have a quiet day they go and stick a new person for me to train cause itll make me feel bettter to socialize. -.-

@@v.crowley that’s not my point- it’s not like she was baselessly assuming that he was cheating, she has mutual friends with Lily. Lily shared that she thought they were getting closer and that she likes him to said mutual friend, and then she found out. Then she sees them together on multiple occasions in the work place. And he doesn’t try to explain things to his partner or stop Lily just because he “doesn’t want things to be awkward in the workplace”.
Blaming the partner for reasonably thinking he was cheating, when he gave no evidence to the contrary, is stupid and baseless. This whole think could have been avoided if he’d simply grown a pair and put his foot down, explained what’s going on, tell Lily he’s not interested. But he didn’t DO anything. So why should she trust him?

Story 2: the title for this reminds me of what happened to me with my now second ex girlfriend who I was with several years ago. She tried to guilt me into coming home early from a vacation I was on with my Parents and my brother. For the record we were on a cruise so even if I wanted to come home I wouldn’t be able to. When I told her I was unable to come home she told me that if I didn’t come home immediately she would have her “ex boyfriends” who were on the same cruise as me beat me up. That was the final straw for me and I told my mom who in turn contacted my then girlfriend’s dad and they agreed that she and I should break up. My ex girlfriend tried to guilt me into not breaking up with her and I told her that would not be happening.

I want to give my commentary on story 4. I think all three are at fault. The OP is at fault for not talking to his wife when she mentioned that one of her friends told her that he and Lily were close. He should have explained that him and Lily had nothing going on and were just co-workers. Wife is also at fault for believing her friend more than her own husband AND jumping to conclusions when she just saw the OP and Lily laughing together and finally Lily is at fault for thinking she and OP grew close together when they clearly didn't.

this is probably the first time I have sided with the Karen. In story one it is never specified whether she answered the kids question, and immediately resorts to shooing the kid away. Also, yes, I do understand shes had an experience like this before, but the fact that you asked security to shoo a KID away just makes me feel icky. And from the Karen's point of view, her kid asked a question and was essentially bullied for doing so. What I do not condone though is that reaction from the Karen. She called him a man-baby, but the way she reacted made herself not so different from that insult.
This is probably not the place to ask, but I've never played any of the Castlevanias. I've played and enjoyed every metroid as well as many other metroidvanias... should I give castlevania a try if I get the chance?
For the last story, I feel like OP is a liiiittle bit of wrong. Not a jerk, not an ass, just he made one mistake.
He didn’t tell Lily to leave him alone or explain things so they’re all on the same page. It sounds like he never really cleared things up with his wife. Miscommunication + “not wanting to make things awkward at work” is where he messed up.

Story 3 - you need to do your share of household chores before straight up saying you have a demanding job. You did not even mention whether yr wife has a demanding job. It sounds like you hv never lifted a finger to help around, leaving your wife to do everything while still holding a job which means her life is more stressful than yours because she has zero time to relax.
Lazy men all fall back to "I hv a demanding job" just to get away with household chores. There are plenty of men with demanding job and yet are good husbands and fathers.

Story 1. I'm going everyone sucks, yes she was pretty rude and a jerk for obvious reasons but OP immediately started out rude and like a jerk. The kid asked a very innocent question and op response was to tell them to go away and then call an employee over and the mom is right if you play games out in public like that you should expect for kids to be curious like that's pretty much the risk you take in that kind of scenario.
