whoever made this final boss go simply go to the deepest Depths of hell because this is criminal how hard this boss is mainly because of how long it is and its just simply way too long and guess what if you die you gotta through the entire Boss over and over again... the worst part of this game are the Different phases on these bosses
I’d rather play paper Mario sticker Star, sonic free riders, sonic chronicles, shadow the hedgehog, sonic boom rise of lyric, sonic forces, and sonic 06 than to do the final boss of trip’s story.
The rest of the game is good, but the final bosses are too ridiculous, and they should also be a separate level, so you don't have to go through the tedious final stage again.
I’ve been trying to beat this boss for two days, those nets are agonizingly annoying. Not even trips super form can beat him. The only thing I give to the moronic Braniac who decided to make it a one hit one kill boss, I give both middle fingers to them.
If you ever get caught in a net, just press the jump botton quickly and Trip will get out of it and you'll avoid Mecha Fang's bullet thus you won't get an instant kill and you can keep fighting the boss.
@@JudaBoi Difficulty is fine. I honestly like the instakills, they're very avoidable. The problem is that they take AGES (pun unintended). Not even like interactive waiting either you're just sitting there half the time.
@@JudaBoidude, I love old difficult games. Castlevania series, Contra, heck even Super Mario Lost Levels. But those at least seem fair, compared to the final bosses of Sonic Superstars. Even the Sonic 1&2 final bosses that don't give you any rings, felt more fair, and they didn't take forever to beat. It's no wonder this game gives you Infinite lives, it would be impossible to beat with Game Overs.

Some of the bosses are creative, but most do indeed take too long to fight. If it's one thing fans of a series about characters that can move fast, it's fighting bosses that take 7 minutes to hours to beat...

Sonic Team just clueless when it comes to making 2D Sonic at this point. This game is a 6/10 at best. And one of the main reasons is stuff like this. The entire Trips play through is littered with enemies that bring you to a screeching halt every 2 seconds. And her Super form controls like TRASH. So many questionable level designs stop this game from being great. I was super excited after Mania was great. Christian Whitehead just does a better job overall with Sonic at this point.

This video is fake because there's no possible way in hell to win this fight unless you cheated and used a cheat code or something. This fight was specifically designed for nobody to be able to beat it. It's just there to piss you off.
This is a Git Gud boss… It’s like EVERY DKCR and Soulsborne boss COMBINED into one… PLUS, in order to beat it, you have to go against EVERYTHING Sonic games have taught you over the years and go SLOW…
What I found work was when he does the electric web attack in a triangle pattern keep running let yourself run into the web mash jump real quick and you can just about dodge his cork screw attacks. The reason is the second he catches you he's gonna stop launching webs and it will trigger his cork gun attack. If he uses an upside triangle pattern he'll use about 3 web traps so if you keep running but at a relatively slow pace the webs should miss you. Just be aware if you complete a full rotation you risk running into one of first web traps.
tbh the worst part abt this boss is the f*cking surface you run on. those waves/curves make the hologram ships, diamond lazers, cobwebs, and the headbutt unbearable. makes jumps so do or die and i hate tht. i love the challenge in this game but punishing through death rather than a small indicator of whats to come is outdated design. if the devs wanted this game to mirror the difficulty of the classic games, they f*ckin' did it with this final boss. i like the main story boss more bc its difficult but its fair (like titanic monarch). thts perfection bc youre given enough time to react and you die if you are too slow. which is fair bc we know--its just a matter of confidence, strategy, and willpower at tht point

This fight gives me horrible flashbacks of Inner Agent 3 from Splatoon 2 Octo Expansion and Champion's Road from Super Mario 3D World! I hate this more than that robot pterodactyl boss fight! ;-;

How many hits on Fang do you need to defeat him? I think it’s 6 for the first phase but would love to know how many for phase two. Getting so frustrated and think counting down hits would help me to keep calm! So difficult haha xx
Strangely I had an easier time fighting this boss than the other final boss. I thought I had lost when I got ensnared on the 2nd phase, but I button mashed like crazy to get out of it in time. It happened twice and it was on my successful attempt.
Makes sense, because the second phase is not that bad. Despite the instakills he can perform, most are easily avoidable. Particularly the kill shots with the webs. It's also pretty easy to hit him. First phase gave me more trouble. I still haven't beaten him, but today I intend to after work. Dr. Robotnik was insanely long, and it was very easy to fall, so he took me a good long time. I'm glad it's a challenge, despite being a little messy on the design side. Not nearly as buggy/glitchy as the hammer boss, which was wonky as hell.

I normally like sequential final bosses like say Bowser or Kaptain K.Rool, but these sequences take way too long.

I think Trip is more fun to play than the other characters

I didn't have this much trouble with other old Sonic final bosses. Closest was the Death Egg robot with Knuckles, but even that didn't take forever.
