Wingsuit, I commented but I wanted to post in here too. 3 words... LASER TAG DOGFIGHT!! Has it been done? You could even make macine gun sounds. Who's gonna hear you?? 😁👍
So brave. I admire everyone that does this so freakin much. The courage, years of training, physical strength, control over their emotions/fears, their insanely quick thinking and physical response times, ability to memorize the terrain (it’s like a massive racetrack, and they know every curve/rock/tree/ravine/structure/etc.).
Sheesh. The time they put in, for ONE jump, is immense. These locations aren’t in your backyard, they travel abroad, study everything about the location and jump/land spots, have to get approval from whatever authority in that country, rent helicopters or whatever to get to the jump spot or spend hours hiking with all their equipment there, wait days for the right weather and wind speeds/directions, then they gotta muster the courage to actually jump, monitor their elevation/altitude as they’re simultaneously flying fast af and focusing on obstructions in their path… I mean, the margin for error is ZERO when they cut it that closely to trees/rocks/the ground/buildings.
Then they’re uber experienced at parachuting. These wingsuit jumps are essentially like taking all the skills from base-jumping mixed with skydiving and hang-gliding.

It’s not dedication, it’s addiction. Don’t paint it as something heroic pretty much every one of these people end up dying.

Almost at my 200 skydives to be able to qualify for my USPA-B license to be able to wingsuit. Only 50 more jumps! This is something I've been itching to do for years. It looks absolutely incredible.

People jumping out of planes while wearing a wingsuit is different than the ones off of cliffs/over near-horizontal terrain right, or no? …If that makes any sense 😂
@Carley Yea, to be able to qualify for a wingsuit jump you need 200 jumps with a parachute. I've never jumped out of a plane with one either yet but yes jumping from a cliff is totally different. Out of a plane all you really need to do is fall out, catch the air and glide around. Off a cliff you need to make sure you have enough height for the wingsuit to catch the air and you need to position your wingsuit to level and glide forward once you catch the air. I'll let you know how it goes with the first jump 🤙.

Wow.....this shit looks crazy! 'Flying' that close to terrain leaves 0 margin for error! Must be an unbelievable rush....it made me nervous just watching some of this footage! While I'd love to try this in theory, in reality I have a family now so my days of unnecessary risk taking are over!

When I learned to fly airplanes, I thought that was amazing, then I took a couple hours in sailplanes and wow, but later, I started hang gliding and never looked back. It is the closest humans will ever come to soaring like birds and there is no way to describe the feeling of riding a thermal to several thousand feet of altitude gain. I've never done skydiving and I don't believe I'd enjoy the intense adrenaline rush it would cause.

You have to go through ridiculous training before you can. Few years of parachuting and skydiving first
