- Good Morning, Miss Bliss (also retroactively known as Saved by the Bell: The Junior High Years) is an American teen sitcom that aired on the Disney Channel from 1988 to 1989 (and later in syndication as part of the Saved by the Bell rerun package), starring Hayley Mills as a teacher at John F. Kennedy Junior High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. After one season on the air on the Disney Channel, the show was retooled as Saved by the Bell, which aired on NBC.
The show was the first program produced by a Big Three network for cable television - in this case, NBC produced it for the Disney Channel.

I liked the Miss Bliss episodes much better than the rest of the series. Miss Bliss was a good teacher who really impacted her students. In Saved by the. Bell, it's just Zach and company doing ridiculous things. They often treated teachers and other students badly, with no consequences for this behavior. My parents let me watch Saved by the Bell (I was in upper elementary school and junior high when it was originally on) because it didn't cuss (that was my parents' big rule--no cussing), but I think it gives poor messages about friendship, loyalty and respect. The Miss Bliss episodes have more heart. The Bayside HIgh episodes are just funny and silly. If you're in the mood for that, it's okay. I prefer the more substantial Miss Bliss storylines.
Wrong info the original pilot was on nbc 1 episode only then Disney picked up for 1 season then nbc got it back for bell
How I would Explain the Move from Indiana to California...Zak, Lisa, and Screeches Fathers all work for the same company in Indiana. All of the sudden the company CEO announces the company is relocating to Los Angeles California and they all go with their family and kids.
Mr. Belding is also called by the superintendent of schools in LA and is offered a job to principal at Bayside.
It could have worked. One episode could have been about Nikki and Mikey visiting from Indiana and are taken around to the Max, the Mall.
Slater, Kelly, and Jessie become jealous of the time that Lisa, Screech and Zak are spending with their Indiana friends.
The Morel of the episode could be that its ok to have different friends and it does not mean that you forget about the others.
In the end Mikey, Nicki and Zak, Kelly and Lisa, Jessie and Screech all have a party at the max to wish Nicki and Mikey a safe trip home to Indiana.

As a kid, I don't think I even knew about Good Morning Miss Bliss. Saved By The Bell is all I was aware of. I would have loved watching Good Morning Miss Bliss back in the day if I knew about it, since I loved Saved By The Bell so much. And I can't believe Saved By The Bell only lasted 4 seasons. In my mind, it seemed like 7 or 8 seasons.
That was NOT Disney's logo in the late 80s. That 'DISNEY+' logo is ONLY for their modern streaming service. Other than that- this video is interesting. I USED to actually like the show up until around 1996, I was 12 for most of that year and I already got sick of it-
I was even YOUNGER than the cast members and I knew it was fecal even for me. BUT, that CORNINESS in TV shows is something I've ironically first grown waaaay out of AND somehow in enough ways to grow back into- especially because there's a horrific level of almost ALLLL TV shows being: reality based, boring garbage, OVERLY serious media- such as the fucking DIME A DOZEN murder mystery garbage that THE NOW NBC, ABC, CBS and many OTHER channels constantly wet dream themselves brainlessly into thinking that 100% of people are ALWAYS into such dark shit!
Life is actually never SERIOUS 100% the time- JUST as much as life IS NOT CORNY 100% the fucking time either. LOL.
...I used to HATE the late 90s WHEN IT WAS GOING ON- ...EVERY single YEAR after 2000 has ONLY GOTTEN THAT MUCH WORSE. People, things and places ARE ACTUALLY worse- ironically, other THAN technology- I DO fucking LOVE MY IPhone. LOL.

When introducing Mr. Richard Belding, the video shows footage from the pilot episode where he was Gerald Belding - that's a nonsensical editing choice.
When discussing GMMB, mostly SBTB video was shown - sometimes even New Class material.
When introducing the actor for Tina Paladrino, the headshot is for Joan Ryan (a former member of British Parliament) and not Joan Ryan (multi-talented entertainer and actual actor in the show). While I've always felt that the Tina character was awful, it's a bit disrespectful showing a completely different person's face.
And the first SBTB episode did not begin on Saturday mornings. The first three episodes aired in primetime and then made the move to Saturday mornings.
