A tip for those who upgraded fully the Ship. Choose the Fire Cannon Ball and Hit the Front of frigate, only the front to cause minimum damage, after that the option to hit the barrels will appear.

The optional objectives in this game are actually so bad. 9 times out of 10 it’s nothing to do with skill but just getting the AI to line up well so you don’t get detected. Idk why but for some reason I find myself being detected in places the enemy shouldn’t be able to see me. Maybe it’s just me.

@Vladu: I agree, only one of the man o wars shows the white circle on them, the others don't and you end up sinking them without doing it, thus fail. Wish they had dropped the 100% constraint trophy from the remaster - its hell to 100% this game.

It’s easy use the chain canon balls to weaken their mast, use canon balls to cripple them then ram your ship against theirs, that triggers the circle on their ship and you can blow up the powder kegs. Easy. 😅

Rac Mm Did you upgrade your ship so you can switch canon ball types?
If you don’t get the circle icon right away you will have to cripple the ships then ram it headfirst. You do this by destroying the mast by getting close and switching to the chain cannonballs. Then turn the ship so you are facing it then ram the ship headfirst, you will get the Circle icon to shoot the powder kegs. With a little luck and getting the feel of the ship combat you will beat it!
getting one of the ships to show its powder supply is tricky but not impossible. you need to pre-aim front of a ship so that the cannonballs only hit the bow of the ship (front). i recommend doing it with the round shot, that’s how I did it. apparently you can also ram the bow of a frigate, but i found that to be much more difficult to line up a frontal on frontal collusion. my ship was fully upgraded so i didn’t have to worry about the HP of the Aquila

The sad part is I amount got all of the optional objectives on this mission and I tried even though I hate this mission
On the remastered version, I rammed a frigate from the side and shot the barrels. Then when 3 more showed up, on of them had their barrels exposed, so I shot them.
Was luck involved? I might never know.

Bruh, I used one broadside to destroy 13 full ships. And it still said I didn't complete it.
One shot will not destroy 13 ships, fix your sentence or you're a filthy liar.
This guy just shots immediately and he gets a powder store but when I do that nothing happens, this optional objectives sucks
If I don't remember wrong, my ship is fully upgraded, with the exception of the ram.
even if you have no upgrades, just ram the front of the last 2 boats....after this, you can use swivel gun to finish them

The 'destroy 3 ships on one broadside' is so fucking difficult because partner AI ships get in the way or destroy the ships for you. I practically damage the partner AI every time because it won't move.
Yeah I got close to that ship it went to the far side then I went hard left and got it but man I was so mad at that ship that I got excited when it sunk
Doing this mission now I've been noticing this too the AI makes so there's no way to even kill the 3 at once its impossible they cut you off block you or kill them before you can

this was one of the hardest levels ever and somehow to my surprise i got full synchronization
Nicely done 👍 Probably helps to upgrade your ship fully except for your cannons 🤔 Also if enemy is close you can quickly fire a broadside, no need to hold the button for several seconds
Got it 3rd try, use normal cannonballs on front of frigate, may take 2 attacks, once white circle appears there use L2 to target and blow up powder store, not too bad, just take your time and avoid raking whole ship with cannon fire 👌

Loved this mission the ship combat was dope and challenging. Once you upgrade your ship this mission isn’t impossible.

@@NeoLotex You have to ram them approximately in the middle of the ship's front side, while using the half sail speed. It works for me. if it won't work for you, then please answer me, we will seek another solution. (btw sorry for my English, it's my second language)
The mission itself isnt that hard, but that FUCKING FUCKING optional objective... I TRULY REALLY REALLY REALLY HATE IT !!!! I feel its luckbased. grrrrrrrrr.........

@@clauderex5891 just use single fire shot and keep shooting the ship. once the ship have low health it will reveal the white circle. and u also need a lot of luck lol. f this mission.

I did it yesterday
I used grapeshot and it was terrific against small boat
Anyway I ended up with 2 seconds remained
