Got through without getting hit, got to the top of the flagpole without being detected, performed the air assassination but got caught a split second after I assassinated the prick...WTAF?!?!

The first part where you need to get through the battlefield unhurt took several tries. Such a nightmare. It also took me a while to realise it's as soon as the muzzles all flash when you should run but the weird lighting in AC3 remastered made it difficult for me to tell when to run at the last part. The tree parkour kept messing up in one section too so I just had to climb up the hill with all the enemies shooting at me, I didn't get knocked down which was a relief. I didn't have the issues others had where they get detected when air assassinating luckily. I'd be pissed if so.

Cheers that actually works. Also, if you count how many times the white air appears where you are in cover, it starts off from the first two covers as 5 second intervals and then the rest is 10 seconds leading to the cover at the tree section. Once you come out of cover, head through the tree line and make a beeline pass the guard patrols and up the cliff, then assassinate Pitcairn as usual. That was my approach.
The gun fire always shoots after nine seconds so you count to nine, restart to one, and that second was when they shot. It’s hard to explain but still

For everyone having trouble with assassinating Pitcairn without being detected:
when you're about to air assassinate him, wait until all the redcoats down there are looking away from where he is and then jump. Apparently the game only keeps counting until a split second after you kill him so if they don't detect you during that split second, you're fine

This objective to Air Assassinate Pitcairn Undetected is so broken, I jump from the flag pole and assassinate him but I always get detected after the white screen appears so I never get the completed Full Synchronisation

a good line in that final moment. Equality is imprtant, but cynism is in the end winning.
When your in cover, bullets will spray your cover and that’s when you move. On the last one, look at the British Army and as soon as their muskets go off, run for the objective.

It's a bit about timing, when you are on the pole, check that everyone has his back turned to you and that the scouting group is as far as possible away from you. only the group sitting to the right will spot you but not quick enough to fail te mission. I was failing on this one hardcore but when I found out I tried it a few times and it worked everytime.

It's the group sitting to the right I think that keeps spotting me! I managed to do all objectives but somehow the complete all objectives before finishing the mission is still locked. Not to mention I can't restart checkpoint so have to start again. Only thing I need to do to 100 sinc the whole game
Used this method on PS3 and got it on the first attempt. On PS4 trying the same method but it's not working. Frustration for sure

I hate that the remaster basically cut the guys saying “THEYRE FIRING!” And you have to rely on visual cues and that’s bullshit.
...the visual cues are far easier to time against though...I mean who would actually prefer an audio cue over a visual one?
Just run to the left until the border of desync.. It works.. You won't get hit..(remastered)

Just tried this rhe 1st of August of 2024 and this still worked. For the Battle, you should look at the men when they stop shooting and there you should run. The rest should be exactly like the video.
Plant a trip mine for the first guard he kills (best placed near the wagon of hay). After planting it, make your way to the flag pole and when the mine goes off pretty much every guard will go there except to scouts and Pitcairn.

I watched every single possible guard to be out of sight still failed...
After a few tries while I was on the pole I wanted to see if I could distract more guards on the right and while looking for poison darts I accidentally closed the inventory and hit left click and assassinated Pitcrain whitout anyone noticed while even *I* was distracted

yo im on this part if u hear the ppl they say get down then u got bout 2 seconds befor u hear it again and get to the next safe spot so I hope this help too. thanks for this upload damn sure didnt know how tf to get 100%

Once you see the army shoot a barrage of bullets you have to wait for it to finish then sprint to the next cover spot

This mission drove me to near insanity
2 hours, 2 F**KING HOURS! And i still get hit every bloody time on the third bunker. Ive tried doing it at the same time as you, a moment or so earlier, a moment later. Nope. Without fault, i reach the fourth bunker and get shot midway
I don't care what this video or any other shows this 100% sync is 99% impossible just like the no damage for the tank mission in brotherhood and nobody can convince me otherwise

This is garbage I air assassinated him and I keep getting detected during the cutscene as it seems the red triangle is building even after you kill him I am playing the remastered this is ridiculous
Some of these guides require patience. Literally some times the guards have to just walk the other way or wait for them to come to you...
Back on this stupid mission and I done all objectives, but somehow I failed to complete all objectives before finishing the level. On what planet does that even make any sense! Cannot even restart checkpoint. I really cannot sync this and I dunno whether to scream or cry!

One of my favorite Assassination missions in the series. The fact that you have to run through the hellfire of battle just to kill one man.

Only got the undetected assassination of Pitcairn because when I was sneaking on my way there the groups around him became alerted and moved away.

AC3 was the last iteration of this series I really respect. The story is fucking amazing, and so much changed from the Ezio days to this one. Remember they saying that their engine even couldn't support like thousand of interacting objects before this game. This whole battle would simply be impossible to do in the Ezio trilogy.
That being said, AC nowadays is *complete utter shit*. The technical challenges went away, but that not necessarily resulted in better games, unfortunately.
I don't really agree with that statement. Black Flag, Rogue, Syndicate, Origins, and Odyssey were all great. Valhalla was ok

Zachery Hallett I found out my problem, so i kept getting detected as i tried to make the make the kill so i wasn’t getting the the all of the objectives. I 100% everything now

Seriously, look at that detail. You can see the smallest pores on Putnam's face, as well as the small facial hairs. The color makes his outfit and Connor's look insane. I don't know why Ubisoft decided to change the lighting and the disrupt the coloration of the game, but whatever they did, it didn't help, because I remember AC 3 as perhaps one of the most detailed games of the franchise and my all time favorite out of the entire franchise, just because of how beautiful it was. But, in order to make an informed decision, I need to play the remastered game for myself in order to make a fair judgment.

PIN THIS PLEASE!!! Put a landmine by the wagon of the first guard you pass. I saw this advice from whatzittooya in the comments and it worked easily first try!! The landmine will go off by the time you are about to climb up the tree which by the time you hit the flag pole just gotta jump

This mission kinda sucks. In the trailer Connor massacring the entire army and here he's just run and hide. Very poor level design imo. It's supposed to be a big battle that actually happened in real life and they didn't do it justice
This can be really easy if you time it right, after they all almost shoot at the same time you run to cover. Don’t do 2 at a time though. It’s too risky.

assassin's creed has always been plagued by poor mission design especially, i'm playing this game again and how clunky both mission design and a hefty amount of mechanics are is tempting me to snap the disc
