As a relative beginner, about 2 months in, but an experienced teacher, this stuff is wonderful. Looking forward to composing, switching the chords around. Thanks. Your generosity in sharing is much appreciated.
You're very welcome!
I have played chords going up the neck like that for years and never knew what chords I was playing. This was very helpful 😊
Glad it was helpful! 😀
Love it. Always looking for ways to embellish or expand on the open chords that i know on the acoustic. Thanks
This perfect for learners who aren’t beginners but not quite intermediates who are trying to get a grasp on learning the whole neck!

Nice tips mate! Anyone starting their guitar journey can practice these and be well on the way to playing many legendary songs of Rush from the mid 70's ❤ 🎉

To hear this performed in a song context listen to "Nova Scotia" by Jonathan Edwards.
Isn't that Spanish sound called the Andalucian Cadence,or similar?
Yes that's right, they're the last 3 chords of an Andalusian cadence in the key of A minor. The full stereotypical descending cadence is Am, G, F, E.
i call it, playing like Neil Young.
