      This is precisely why Romania has struggled the last 16 years. They seem to be waiting for the tides to change when artistry will count more than execution of the skills. The US, Brazil, Great Britain and France have adapted their trainings to the new standards and focus on sound basics for execution and then increase difficulty.

    Diferente de Raisman, Ponor sempre teve uma personalidade imponente em suas séries, uma expressão mais forte, artística, contando ainda com grandes dificuldades acrobáticas. O CoP ainda valoriza mais os acrobáticos do que o artístico, quando deveria sem um meio termo para ambos. Infelizmente o pódio ainda continuará sendo das americanas, que quase se matam colocando elementos G, H e I na mesma série, sem expressar quase nenhuma interação com a floor music, qualquer uma que tocar serve, não há interpretação artística. Saudades dos dias de glória romenos ♥

    • @ChokoMixSCS
      @ChokoMixSCS 5 років тому +6

      Os movimentos artísticos são lindos e de encherem os olhos (destaque para Romênia e Rússia). Mas ao meu somente as acrobacias em si já são o artístico, vai do atleta incrementar ou não pra deixar a apresentação mais rica e de encher os olhos. Mas ainda acredito que o peso é maior nos elementos acrobáticos comparado com a parte artística. A dificuldade sempre falou mais alto. Acho justo.

    • @pegestao
      @pegestao 5 років тому +6

      @@ChokoMixSCS Mas é isso mesmo! A capacidade técnica, principalmente dos acrobáticos é mais valorizado no CoP do que a parte coreográfica. Não adianta a série ser somente linda artísticamente, tem que haver "ginástica". Séries com menos dificuldades são propícias a menos descontos, como da holandesa Lieke Wevers na final do mundial de Glasgow, em 2015. DUAS linhas acrobáticas (duplo mortal grupado e uma dupla pirueta e meia), execução de 8.700, a segunda maior da final empatado com a russa Afanasyeva, somenta atrás de Biles. É uma estratégia, mas de fato não é o que o público espera ver.

      Oh come on. This was brilliant, but she must have lost .4 in the triple twist alone for legs crossed at the ankles, knee separation, bent knees, and the shuffle on the landing. She also underrotated the quad turn and had flexed feet on both piked elements, plus an obvious leg separation on the full-in piked. I would take .8 instead of a full point, but it’s not enough to beat Raisman. There’s a reason we don’t let crowds score elite gymnastics.

      @@demetriromano565 There is a reason why the Russian and Romanian gymnastics are always remembered. It was never only about to get the higher score, but to enchant the audience. That's why they are myths, even though they do not get the gold medal, instead of the Americans....

    • @demetriromano565
      @demetriromano565 5 років тому +1

      Felipe Peixoto I think the best remembered Soviets and Romanians did win medals. I’m too young to have watched gymnastics before the 90s, but my parents talk about Korbut, Comăneci, Silivas, Shushunova, and Dawes, all Olympic gold medalists. Unfortunately gymnasts who don’t make it that far often don’t become legends- take Groshkova or Mostepanova, who the general public don’t know. The real legends brought it all together in artistry, form, difficulty, and enchantment.
      Before I followed gymnastics, the routines I remembered were Izbasa’s and Cheng’s in ‘08 and the top four in ‘12, which are all wonderful in different ways. The one my friends and family remember most from 2016 is Hernandez’s, which was a totally different kind of artistry that still draws everyone watching it in.
      Basically, just expression doesn’t make you a legend- how many people have heard of Dobre, Grishina, or Lieke Wevers, besides gym nerds? Neither does just tumbling and form- no one really talks about Amanar’s or Johnson’s floor at this point. It’s the combination that gets you remembered, and that isn’t restricted to country in the slightest.

      Unfortunately her elements were not rated as difficult as Raisman but she has so much more grace and balletic moves than Raiman. The judging needs to be changed! I agree that she should have won and we are not the only ones feeling this way.
