Stunning performance, Carly Paterson won her gold medal in Women's All-around at Athens, Greece 2004 Summer Olympic Games after she helped team USA wins silver in Women's Team Final, and also Paul Hamm gets his gold medal in Men's All-around after he helped team USA wins silver medal in Men's Team Final at the same time about 15th anniversary or 15 years ago. Bravo! We love to both of you.

"I'm on the chase, burnin' down the straightaway, ain't gonna let you get away!" Thus Carly would sing 5 years after this gold-medal-winning performance. She was on the chase for said gold medal, & she did NOT let it get away!

@@aaronmustafina8977 No one robbed her gold medal, Komova totoally out of bounds and lost control on her landing on her vault, so she just lose it because her own mistake (Douglas almost perfect on each round)

Aaron Mustafina Gabby’s bars had at least 2 0.3 deductions that were not taken because of missed handstands (I counted around 1.5 in deductions), so her getting a 9.133 which was the same as Mustafina’s EF score is absurd especially since Mustafina’s routine was miles superior. Also, Gabby’s AA vault was over scored as well, there was no way she should’ve scored the same as her TF one (15.966) when she made a lot more errors in the AA. Even though Komova took all those steps on vault, I still think she should’ve won

Ok , Carly Patterson won fair and square in the 04 AA. And I might even go further to say that Anna Pavlova deserved the silver much more than Khorkina.
Hmm, about the routine, it is full of the classic 90 era American vibe, and the music choice and choreography are pretty cheesy. But the tumbling is great.
Can we have Daniella Sofronie or Ona Ban or Catalina Ponor or Anna Pavlova's routine from the 2004 games also ?

Khorkina robbed? Even if she was (which she wasn’t, Carly performed a lot better) she deserved it based on the way she spoke about Carly afterwards. And Komova didn’t hit her all her routines unlike Gabby. So stay mad or whatever.
