The delicious irony of a band called Bad Religion writing a song that truly touches something deep and human inside and makes you feel in touch with all humanity and dare I say it, something like God. One of the most beautiful songs ever written, and I listen to it almost every day. LOUD!
Not believing in god doesn't make you numb to the illuminous or transcended. (Such as the effect one gets from looking art, or listening to music) it just means that people who don't believe in god can appreciate the immense awe and inspiring emotion without having to attach superstition to it.
I saw them on that tour at the Palladium… One of the best shows I’ve ever been to… I’ve seen seen them at least 20x… They’ve never disappointed… I just wish they would play Fertile Crescent
so many good bands I only found out about from watching conan in the early 2000's,back when he came on after leno, whose musical guests were usually like nelly fertado and ashanti.
I was a college "kid" at the time, but I remember this, too. I'd missed out on Bad Religion from The Gray Race to this album, having become completely enamored with prog rock and missing out on the punk of the late 90s. This performance is what got me back into Bad Religion, and soon after, punk in general. (Though I do admit to still loving prog, as well.)

@@syphonfilter9897 they sing a lot about god, I do not believe Graffin doesn't believe in god
it's the "imagine" from punk rock for me
It’s wild how ancient this footage looks. I remember this album coming out.
I know right?! I bought it the day it came out, can't believe it's been 22 years already.
I know right? I was in college. Now im some middle aged guy with skin problems and hearing problems. Life is flying by
One of the greatest songs ever written...it describes the human condition and the state of the world perfectly
If every living soul could just hear this song…. then I do imagine there will be sorrow no more
Beyond naïveté
This song is just so perfect.
simple perfect
@@czarnypiotrus6975 yeah PURE PERFECTION
What a drummer...
Its brooks wackerman. Hes in avenged sevenfold now
He’s insanely good, better than Josh Freese even I think.
I was thinking the same thing-dude is a human metronome
@@galleryofrogues Check out Brooks' brother Chad Wackerman.
Agree. Wackermann was a machine. His energy overwhelms me every single time

Super fun band live. And they have this amazingly fun Irish sound to them. Absolutely love it.
I remember staying up late that night just to catch this performance 😊

Thank you Brooks for skipping out on your book club to be apart of this performance.
To be fair, they all look like geeks 🤣
@@murphymoerf To be fair, they are geeks.
@@jonstrine3144 I always imagine that Jay Bentley is the cool one that the girls like.
My all time favorite BR lineup.
Graffin
Bentley
Hetson
Gurewitz
Baker
Wackerman
I remember watching this live vividly as a kid! So cool

This is amazing, thank you for the upload.
Cheers! Love Bad Religion and Coco!
thank u for preserving this, incredible live performance
Amazing Show
Fantastic
The Best song...
Scott, good to see you (virtually) old friend.
Mr. Brett !!
Where all six members performed! A shame Gurewitz had to skip the 2007 appearance, though...
Drummer is a fuckin’ demon 👍

To live is to suffer. What a crazy world we live in.
Well, that hasn’t changed.
Buddha already knew that.
Damn Saul Goodman’s a pretty good singer

Hey guys!
Miss 2006
Brooks just out from Weezer
Noice.
So I guess they did have the mass exposure that would make them not being huge today... unjustifiable?
Didnt realize Peter Steele played with them.
what do you mean?
Mad Caddies great cover
the drummer is good, dont remember him
Bobby schayer
Lol. It's Brooks Wackerman. Their longest tenured drummer. 02'-15' and 6 albums. It's some of their best music.
Greg looking like a young Joe Biden here
Srsly why do they need 3 guitarists
Hey look its Ray Romano on guitar! Nope, just Mr. Brett.
Jesus would rock to this anthem.
Goddamit, you’re right
God def listens to bad religion
......... no more
This song is great and all but the Acoustic is the true life of this song way better idgaf
brett needs to play with BR 100% of the time
Great song great band but that solo should not have been left in the hands of gurewitz. It's trash. Brian baker slays it on the AOL live vid tho.
Note to Jay: tune your bass for television performances. $50 fine. Someone buy him a tuner.
dear greg
