Just a pro tip for next build, remove your baseboards to have the shelves meet the wall, flush. Hope it helps 😊

That looks superb. Now you've got all the fun of deciding how you're going to put your books in there. It'll look even more amazing when they're on the shelves. 📚 My Dad built me a desk (with two whacking great bookshelves as the support for the top. I've got 200+ books in there, which got a lot of books that were - until then - shelved on the floor. It's always good to have a Dad with carpentry skills. 😁

@@BookswithBrittany Yep, always the toughest choice. I used to default to the alphabetical order by author. But lack of space means I've not been able to really do that here so they're alphabetical in some places but authors whose books I own all or most of have there own separate bits. So the shelves on my desk have Dickens, Elizabeth Gaskell, Chekov, Kafka, Bulgakov, Elizabeth Jane Howard, Tove Jansson, Barbara Pym, Elizabeth Taylor and Jean Rhys. (For example.) All my Rosa Luxemburg books (about her or by her) are on top of the desk. It's all a bit arbitrary. But I like it.
Ha! All i see is a space for shoes and accessories. You guys did a great job😊.

Living the dream there! I aim to have my own personal library one day, love the way you built it too. When I build one I would go black, then we could have the yin and yang of home libraries.

Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.
That is gorgeous 😍 If that was mine I would also try to build in a window bench between the bookcases by the shortest window
