@@Redsand187 I know, but getting a multi-million dollar buyout severance isn’t really “getting fired”…however I do understand the logic of firing your two best employees leads to a small exodus. Obviously he recovered nicely though 😊
I think you should, at some point, do a game with the Cities Skylines 1 business model, where you make a spectacular game that has all the features and can keep active users for a while, and then you update it and make a ton of DLC for several years instead of making a sequel.
that's my preferred method tbh you get to keep selling the same Project for years with only occasional investment by a small team that can cycle between 2 or 3 projects
When you build your own building. You can make a service wing/building with marketing, legal, support etc and their own kitchen so they don’t have to be in the same place
Suggestion: Junior developers in the teams, or a separate junior developer team to do updates, porting and small tasks for other companies . I used to like to hire junior programmers. So I would start with filling out the teams with older experienced programmers as needed, but then ad some young ones that focused on team compatibility and base ability. Then they could slowly train themselves and when the old people retired they would be super talented. I also liked to hire a bunch for the main team so I knew they where very compatible, but then immediately move them to their own team to do things like bug fixing. That would train them too. Plus, if we where behind on schedule, I could add the junior team on to speed things along and for training do work for other companies. By hiring them for the main team first, I knew they where really compatible and so could use them as a breeding stock for talent to move back to the main team whenever needed. Also, I like checking for new companies now and then and buying all their stock for dirt cheap when they are new and don't have any releases. Then when they explode its free money. And if they fold, well, you got it for pocket change anyway. Edit: also, your two starting buddies quitting explains why some of your employees where upset the other episode.
I'm loving this series so much!! I've never watched any Software Inc before this, but I'm loving seeing you play it & hearing your enthusiasm is infectious!
16:20 Now we know why your staff were upset when "colleagues were fired", but I don't think them being considered fired when you buy them out is fair. Should be given the option to hire them as normal staff after buying them out.
Well, atleast we now know why the core team was so keen on formal complaints last episode.. I blame the cat... it didn't like the team working for the top dog.
I think it’s time you hire some security at your entrance/exits and at some of you high security points like server rooms, printing rooms, and safe room with your gold ext.
Build a security desk and hire security to staff it 24/7 I would go with 2 security desks so they can keep everything secure and they won’t steal things anymore
Question If You start doing an iteration but stop at like 50% does it still give you a slight boost or does it not even count cause you didnt finish it ?
Usually I play and do contracts with 2-3 founders for a year out of a garage. Well, I made my founders whatever tier wanted their own office so I had to immediately take a loan and force out software in hopes of making it big. Big mistake as I did marketing internally. Month 0 I got $0 in sales. I only ended up getting 6 sales in 6 months and went bankrupt after a year and a half
You have to name one of the kingdoom expansions "might and magic" and in they add spellcasting for some really cool effects and (if it has 3d) some cool explosion. Then maybe have some named after exotic wepons like scimitar or katana. Or you could do something like halbard or lance
Bro you FIRED them 🤦♂️ they didn’t quit you bought them out and gave the the finger lol that was why 3 employees were upset you fired their friend but you didn’t actually look at who you fired you just assumed it was the accountants.
4 iterations is a waste. The fourth iteration takes too much time. 3 iterations and 1 (rarely 2) review will make it faster and always enough for outstanding quality.
Dylan really thought he could buy out Bob and Bella and they’d stick around as regular employees like they didn’t just make millions 😂
Bob and Bella got the “golden parachute” and don’t have to work the rest of their lives so of course they left 😂
Also prolly where the award went
They got fired, that is why there were all those complaints last episode. Everyone was pissed that the founders got kicked out.

With $100M, perhaps you can now pay the cat's salary so that he can greet us at the start of each episode.
Hire the cat as security to stop all these cat burglars
What a meowerrific idea.
@@bigbearb_gaminghire the cat as a cat burglar to get the award back
@@TheXLAXLimpLungs I like the way you think 🤣
This is one of the series I could binge watch all day in addition to another brick in the mall (please do another series)
when you adjust expected interest in the triangle you don't have to manually do that. just click the auto balance box below!
16:06 ah the sudden realisation of what we’ve been telling you😂 Dylan you definitely make these series enjoyable
False
We told you that they leave when you buy them out un like episode 2!

This is the Paradox way. Stellaris is the same way, along with HOI VI, and other games I'm neglecting
I love software inc, so much that I was constantly waiting for another video! Keep up the amazing work! :D
+1 on that!
When you build your own building. You can make a service wing/building with marketing, legal, support etc and their own kitchen so they don’t have to be in the same place
I could just see your take on the Microsoft operating system and call it Nerdrosoft Panels
im pretty sure the awards decay, i think it said that when you placed it
I thought it said that too
they decay in value but never delete, I think it was bob that took it because he was the lead designer

You should get some friends together because there is multiplayer in the game now. Would be fun to watch

Do we have a security at all? With all those roberies, not comfortable sitting around watching them tho
He hasn't yet put a desk at the entrance door for Security Guards to sit at 24hours/day stopping any robbers from leaving.
@@PauperJThere is a surveillance room on the roof and cameras at entrances so he only needs to hire a security guard.
I love watching this series, but the chaos he brings with his gameplay, riles up my OCD almost every episode. ☠️⚰️
Did Bob take the award with him seen as he was the lead on Kingdoom
seeing those empty offices hurts me knowing you're still paying rent on them

No one that accepts a buyout is going to stick around as an employer lol
You also need to use a lead designer that is in the green for creativity makes your game/software have a better review at the end of the
Glad this series is going so well
I know it probably will but i hope this series never ends
When educating, you can press "select all" and then press the educate button and it will open the pop up for educating one after the other.
The reboot of Kingdoom in 2015 or whenever should be named "Kingdoom: Online", and made to be MMO 😆
Love software inc please keep this series going
Love the series keep it up!
Got me to start playing myself
Well, atleast we now know why the core team was so keen on formal complaints last episode..
I blame the cat... it didn't like the team working for the top dog.
Yeah..... your awards get stolen and you cannot place them again. I had SEVENTEEN awards stolen in one burglary. It is SO frustrating!!!
I think it’s time you hire some security at your entrance/exits and at some of you high security points like server rooms, printing rooms, and safe room with your gold ext.
3 Star Reputation is really important. You are almost there. Especially Design contracts etc.
Build a security desk and hire security to staff it 24/7 I would go with 2 security desks so they can keep everything secure and they won’t steal things anymore
Might be a better idea to have the security cameras looking at the points of ingress and egress.
bruh i love your vids in software inc keep going

11:59 in regards to the award it said that it will only last 1 year after getting it
It decays and lose some effect but never fades away completely.

Kinda disappointed this isn't a daily series
We need a new prison architect series with the coming of the sequel
I would name the Kingdoom expansions after various Kings, i.e. “Kingdoom IV: Cyrus” that kind of thing.
You can educate multiple people at once by clicking select all in the employees tab and then educate.
Bob & Bella taking that bag to go reopen Dange Digital
i feel like your missing the support for wave 2 and marketing for all
Favorite series so far
You should look into purchasing shares of other companies
Time to hire security and get cameras now that you are making so much money

Having your studio's awards stolen by burglars, priceless 😆
Think u have old ”games” on the pallats
Bro same thing happened to me i didnt know you could buy out your founders
Can't u have a day shift n night shift.. double the process. Scheduling ???
Create your own 3D,there’s an option to develop it!!

A Port/Update Team?
Anyone else gets mad when UA-camrs play games that they have no idea how it works? Mediocrity is not funny! Drives me insane 😂
The funniest part is that this is not even his first or second walkthrough. He already have made a few full series.
you are still printing Kingdoom 2, 3 and other copies
stop them
it is the reason the couriers are not able to handle

Kingdoom IV Trebuchet
Please upload more software ink please!
You need to port kingdom 4
when are you going to build your own building?
Never clicked so fast
Love the content
$100 MILLION
you don't have to spend too much money on marketing 5000 will just be fine
You did not do 4 iterations of design before developing Kingdoom 4 before moving to development, you only did 3, that is never good.
4 iterations is a waste. The fourth iteration takes too much time. 3 iterations and 1 (rarely 2) review will make it faster and always enough for outstanding quality.
