Yes! The core brwth is fantastic in labour...inhale to expand as you feel a contraction coming on then exhale...BUT when in labour instead of exhaling to engage you will exhale and keep the expansion in the pelvic floor

doing the core breath while lying down and also early in the day can help when you have a prolapse. A pessary can also be helpful for some.

@Jeff Sparky I would not do the core breath to calm heavy breathing down after an intense workout.

Thank you! Very helpful. Trying to figure how to improve how I engage core/pelvic floor while trying to exercise with prolapse.

Thank you what should I do if my tightness is so extensive that belly breathing barely moves my pelvic floor?

Ideally no....the core should know how to do this on its own... the core breath is meant as a retraining tool and it can be used in place of kegels as well for some people. You can add it in to exercise but it is not meant to be done all day or with all activities. The goal is for your core to be able to function automatically without you thinking about it.

    Is that a kegal excercise?
I have that understanding, but, feeling it, is not in my head or brain, other then a kegal?

Cindy Mulvey yes...it essentially a Kegel done in coordination with the breath and brings awareness to the inhale and expansion and the exhale and contraction

+Ricardo Jara not all day long....but you can add into other movements to make them more 'core focussed'
