This helped me get through the rest of the teardown without overthinking things. Thank you! Very helpful for reassembly as well. Thank you for sharing your time & energy with us!
thanks man just bought one of ebay for 200£ with drink spillage cleaned everything buttons and jogs with alcohol and all working now you saved me the jogs are butter smooth now. 👍🏾🙏🏽
Thanks for video, dropped my ddj which resulted in a couple of wheels coming off jog one side and the top of cog coming off the other jog. All fixed now!!
Thank you mate! You have saved me a lot of money on technical service. The jog was hard, and it was a wheel that had come off the rail. Thakj you very much
I love how everyone here shares what type of beverage was responsible for their mess 🤣 In my case it was plain and simple Sprite, cheers! Btw this Video is very helpful, I've cleaned my ddj 400 before but the 1000 is a little more complex, so I was a little concerned. All in all it's a lot but very maintenance friendly!
i need to fixmy denon riem jog wheel. you made me laugh and smile in a time i was frustrated Thak you. Not sure i will dismantle my denon however i feel lighter you are hilarious !
Excelente video ! Ojalá pudiera hacer esa limpieza jajajaja Pero se ve muy complicado para desarmar, Pero el mayor problema es armar de nuevo 😂😅 Saludos.
GREAT Video!!!!! Same Thing! I have Vodka& Cranberry juice in mine! I tuned it upside down and some of it came out. But entire left side is BLINKING, lol. Seeing you know what you’re doing, can I pay you to clean mine, I’ll also come with crates of your favourite beer 🤣
Great video! I just got one also, and sure, a bit of a PITA to rip apart but from a fixing standpoint, I love how modular everything is, especially compared to inmusic crap, ie the NS7 where everything’s soldered to 1 or 2 boards (and flexes from transport) and you have to replace the entire fing board, with weak traces on the board anyway. Glad to have made the switch just for this!
Hello after cleaning my jog isnt scratching anymore i can match 2 song by adjusting the wave bpm but no scratch with or without vinyl mode, screen LCD is ok And also noise and filter button dont working..
You probably did not connect one of the flat cables properly (well either that or you broke something:/ ) but i would definitely re-check the connections
I have a question, never drank beer around my controller. Only did 2 parties and one day I went to scratch and the whole Jog wheel lifted out. I have the DDJ 800 and could not find one video on that Jog wheel. I found no lose or broken parts or missing screws it just lifts right out of the controller, I opened it and do not see no clips or screws that would hold it in place. Crazy you spend 900 dollars for something so cheaply made.
My jog wheel is not sensitive as it use to be. It moves really slow after having a drink spilled on it. Is this the same case with your controller? Im afraid that because i plugged mine it it created a shortage. Should i try this fix? Please let me know what you think thank you.
@@MTS_IT hello thank you for the response, i figured it might be my switch vinyl that shorted out. Order a new switch vinyl hopefully that solves the issue.
@@steffd8066 it's not the switch (mode is either on or off). Regarding why it acts sluggish my guess it that some liquid (coke or whatever) got in the potentiometer that is used for jog wheel - see: ua-cam.com/video/6gnMbnPLlSY/v-deo.html - Jog wheel moves that cog and it's connected to a potentiometer (i think - because i didn't disassemble it)- all you need to do is to clean that potentiometer with alcohol (or replace it with a new one) - you'll WILL need to have some skills to fix this
I took my DDJ 800 apart and replaced the tray which holds it together I will post the video in a few days. I ordered the video editor wheel for the deviancy film editor and will test it out on the video I made of me fixing the Jog wheel. I would like to go live with you and maybe we can figure it out together. Now there was some grease which looks like Vaseline so it was kind of light when I put. It together that could not only make it slide easier it might cause the electrical contact. Message me back if your interested in going live with me maybe you can see what I am doing wrong.
